Chaos erupts at Mangal’s dhaba when a group of angry customers accuse her of serving food contaminated with a lizard. Furious and disgusted, they confront her, demanding an explanation and warning that if anyone falls ill, they will drive her out of the city. Neel watches the entire scene unfold with satisfaction, secretly enjoying Mangal’s humiliation.
Trying to calm the situation, Mangal insists that she prepared the food with utmost hygiene, just like homemade meals, and promises to find out how the incident happened. However, the customers refuse to believe her. They shut down the dhaba, lock it, and declare that it will reopen only after inspection by the Food Safety Officer. Heartbroken, Shanti laments that their dhaba has been closed on Diwali and wonders how they will now manage their household expenses.
Meanwhile, Adit, who is on a call with his boss, learns that he must attend an important meeting in Mussoorie—even on Diwali. Reluctantly, he agrees, thinking about how Mangal and the kids are also staying there.
Back at the dhaba, Mangal begins cleaning the kitchen, visibly distressed. Ishana tries to comfort her, asking her not to blame herself. Mangal explains that she took every precaution, even keeping potlis around to keep lizards away. Akshat gives her some water, reassuring her that everything will be fine. Ishana reminds her that she always finds solutions and trusts she’ll overcome this challenge too. She asks if the dhaba will remain closed for long.
At home, Adit starts packing his bags. Sowmya questions him, and he explains about his meeting. Kusum overhears and asks where he’s heading, to which he replies, “Mussoorie.”
Determined to fix things, Mangal tells her family to pray in the kitchen for a solution. While praying, she suddenly senses someone watching her. Outside, a worker is seen escorting a masked person away from the dhaba. As Mangal walks, she steps on a keychain and picks it up. Akshat immediately recognizes it as Neel’s, while Ishana confirms that Neel studies in her school and has a reputation for causing trouble. Mangal decides to handle the matter herself and sends the children out of the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Sowmya tells Adit to take sweets for the kids since he’s going to Mussoorie. She asks Kusum to prepare them, and Kusum agrees.
Elsewhere, a worker warns Sunita not to go near the dhaba or their long-kept secret will be exposed. Sunita breaks down, admitting she made a terrible mistake 16 years ago and lost her daughter because of it. Around the same time, Neel storms into his house in anger, throwing things around. When Sunita asks what happened, he snaps at her, demanding his key and behaving rudely before leaving. Left alone, Sunita tearfully confesses that she swapped her daughter with Mangal’s son years ago and is now paying the price for her sin.
Soon after, Mangal visits Neel’s house and confronts him directly. She accuses him of deliberately putting a lizard in the dhaba’s food to take revenge, endangering innocent lives in the process. She tells him he’s just a child and shouldn’t harbor such malicious thoughts. Neel arrogantly denies everything and tells her to leave, claiming she has no proof. Ishana scolds him for disrespecting her mother, while Shanti arrives with Neel’s friends’ confirmation that the keychain indeed belongs to him. Holding up the key as evidence, Shanti accuses Neel of being behind the sabotage.
Neel continues to deny the accusation, even as others recognize the key as his. Furious, Ishana demands to know why he ruined their food and reputation. When Shanti raises her hand to slap him, Mangal quickly stops her, saying violence isn’t the answer. She tells Neel that his actions were reckless and could have cost lives, something he would have regretted forever.
Neel mocks her, telling her to save her lectures for her own children. Shanti taunts him in return, saying his mother clearly never taught him respect. Enraged, Neel warns her not to speak about his mother and orders Mangal and her family to leave his house immediately. As he storms off, he slips, but Mangal instinctively catches him to stop his fall. Despite her kindness, Neel shoves her away in anger, leaving Mangal deeply hurt and determined to uncover the full truth behind the conspiracy.
