Sowmya is determined to prevent Mangal from uncovering the truth. She calls Adit, who immediately comes to her aid. Sowmya shares her suspicions that Mangal may have taken Kusum outside, as no one answered the door. Adit reassures her, and they both enter the house. When Adit questions Mangal for not opening the door, Mangal claims she didn’t hear the bell. Sowmya defends herself, saying she was only worried about Kusum. Mangal dismisses Sowmya’s concerns, and Adit urges them to stop arguing before leaving.
Sowmya later sneaks through Mangal’s purse and finds a clinic bill, raising her anxiety about Mangal discovering the truth. When a medicine delivery arrives, Sowmya hides and then confronts Mangal about the medicine, suspecting it could harm Kusum. Mangal denies responsibility and leaves. Determined to protect Kusum, Sowmya insists on serving her tea, despite Mangal’s protests. Kusum, unaware of the tension, happily chats with Mangal, which frustrates Sowmya further. She secretly plans to administer the medicine to Kusum.
Sowmya orchestrates minor disruptions, such as causing Akshat to trip, asserting her control over the situation. When Mangal receives a call from a temple priest about a pooja for Kusum’s well-being, she agrees to perform the ritual and leaves Kusum under Adit’s care. Seeing her chance, Sowmya convinces the family to spend time on the terrace, intending to execute her plan. At the temple, Mangal performs the pooja with devotion, but an extinguished diya leaves her worried about an inauspicious omen. Meanwhile, Kusum’s health deteriorates, alarming the family.
Jia tells her mother that Gayatri is dead, but Lakshmi and Raghuveer discover Jia attempting to burn Gayatri’s body. Lakshmi intervenes, saving Gayatri, while Jia flees. Gayatri scolds Lakshmi, but Raghuveer praises her bravery. Later, Lakshmi warns everyone to remain vigilant, as Jia is dangerous. She learns Karthik has been injured in a fight and comforts him at the police station, sharing an emotional moment.
Raghuveer reassures Lakshmi but reminds her to get Karthik to speak with Gayatri. Meanwhile, Umesh informs Lakshmi that Jia is coming to meet them. When Jia arrives, she struggles to confess the truth about Gayatri’s death. Lakshmi notices Raghuveer signaling that he used gas to prevent Jia from speaking. Umesh orders guards to escort Jia out, ending the confrontation.
