Mangal is stunned when she sees the police taking Neel into custody. She rushes to them and asks what happened. The inspector questions her identity, and Mangal firmly replies that Neel is her son. Terrified, Neel begs his mother to save him. The inspector explains that Neel was caught playing cards and skipping school. Neel insists he wasn’t playing, only watching, and pleads with Mangal to believe him. Mangal requests the inspector to release him, assuring that she will handle the situation herself.
Meanwhile, at the Pehla Swad event, Sowmya tells the workers not to worry. She claims that even if Mangal doesn’t make it, she will win for both of them as they belong to the same family. The workers remain hopeful, believing Mangal will arrive on time. Everyone waits for the electricity to return.
The inspector eventually lets Neel go but warns him not to repeat such behaviour. Mangal immediately questions Neel about skipping school. Neel says he is not interested in studying and wants to live life on his own terms. Hearing this, Mangal calls the police back and tells Neel that if he wants to live freely without responsibility, he can go with them. Neel panics and begs her not to hand him over. Mangal gives him a choice—school or jail. Frightened, Neel chooses school. The inspector asks Mangal if there’s any problem, but she brushes it off and sends him away.
The power returns, and the anchor apologises for the interruption. Sowmya silently hopes the competition ends before Mangal arrives. The anchor invites Sowmya to introduce herself. She confidently presents herself and claims she has several ideas for Pehla Swad. Mangal arrives just then and joins her team.
The anchor asks Sowmya to present her ideas first. Sowmya confidently states that Pehla Swad’s image is damaged and suggests changing the brand’s name. She shares her plan, and the audience claps. As she steps back, she suddenly trips, and the anchor checks on her. Sowmya assures everyone she’s fine.
Next, the anchor calls Mangal on stage. Mangal receives a timely call from the principal informing her that Neel’s admission has been approved. Overjoyed, she promises to pay his fees soon and steps onto the stage with renewed confidence.
Mangal begins by saying that a mother’s goodness is unforgettable, which is why “Pehla Swad” is a special and meaningful name. She expresses her desire to restore the brand’s lost glory instead of changing its name, believing the hardworking women of Pehla Swad can make it number one again. The audience applauds her heartfelt speech.
One of the judges reminds her that good words are not enough; innovation is also needed. Sowmya quickly agrees and claims she has creative ideas unlike Mangal. She presents a dehydrated machine as her new idea. However, a judge reveals that Pehla Swad already uses this technology and that her idea is not new. She asks Sowmya to think of something original. Sowmya is stunned and embarrassed.
The anchor reiterates that contestants must impress the judges with new concepts if they want to win. Panicked, Sowmya calls someone urgently and asks them to meet her, then rushes out. Mangal observes her suspicious behaviour and realizes something is definitely brewing in Sowmya’s mind.
Precap: Sowmya’s hired goons assault Mangal and snatch away the money. Seeing Mangal hurt, Kusum urges her not to attend the Pehla Swad competition in such a condition.
