Karthik firmly tells Jia that he has no interest in marrying her and doesn’t even want to see her face. Jia remains undeterred, claiming that his love is irrelevant—he will accept her one day. Karthik calls her delusional and refuses to pretend to be happy about a wedding he doesn’t want. Jia reminds him of their deal, warning him not to provoke her, while Karthik declares he can’t act anymore. Jia urges him to reconsider.
Descending the stairs, Jia instructs the staff to throw out the luggage. When Gayatri asks whose it is, Jia coldly replies it’s theirs—she’s evicting the entire family. Sudesh is shocked and questions how she could throw them out of their own home. Jia asserts her authority over the property, saying they’re bankrupt now. Had she married Karthik, the house would still be theirs—but since that’s not happening, they must leave. She commands security to remove Karthik’s family.
Karthik supports his shaken mother, and Jia mocks him for refusing marriage despite knowing the consequences. She gloats over their downfall and demands he put on a red kurta. Feeling cornered and powerless, Karthik agrees. Jia embraces him, confident he’ll fall in love with her eventually.
Later, Karthik appears dressed for the ritual. Lakshmi, disguised as a pandit, arrives with another priest to investigate Karthik’s sudden consent. Jia instructs the pandits to perform the pooja and set a wedding date. Lakshmi suggests they match horoscopes first. Gayatri hands over the kundalis, but Lakshmi secretly replaces Jia’s with her own.
The pandit examines the charts and announces a perfect match. Jia beams, claiming she already knew it. But when she checks the written muhurat, she sees the names “Lakshmi and Karthik.” Alarmed, she questions the pandit, who explains he received Lakshmi’s horoscope. Gayatri suspects she may have accidentally handed the wrong kundali. Jia insists on checking her real horoscope with Karthik’s—and this time, the match is declared inauspicious.
Jia dismisses the significance of horoscopes, but Lakshmi—still in disguise—presses Karthik to close his eyes and picture the person he truly loves. Karthik sees a flash of Lakshmi and her betrayal with Raghuveer, yet declares he doesn’t care about compatibility and will marry Jia.
Just then, a spark from the havan falls on Karthik’s kurta. Lakshmi instinctively rushes to put out the fire, revealing herself when her fake beard loosens. Jia is left stunned to discover Lakshmi beneath the disguise.
