Kapil reprimands his employees for negligence after a blast at the site. When one worker mentions Adit was present, Adit reveals Mangal had asked him to leave earlier. Amid the scolding, Adit gets an urgent call from the hospital demanding ₹3 lakh for his mother’s surgery. Desperate to keep his job, he retrieves his fallen pen and stays silent about his role in the accident.
Later, Adit privately confesses to Mangal that the blast was his fault. Though angry, Mangal takes the blame in front of Kapil to save Adit’s job, earning Kapil’s disappointment. Grateful, Adit thanks her, but coworkers whisper about Mangal and Kapil’s “special” relationship.
Meanwhile, Mangal dreams of buying a house for Kusum and the kids. Unaware, she’s kidnapped—only to be surprised with a birthday party by her colleagues. Touched by their halwa cake (her mother’s specialty), she gets a call from Akshat, who excitedly shows her his handmade card. Kusum coldly cuts the call short, leaving Mangal hurt but hiding it.
The next day, Akshat persuades Kusum to make halwa for Mangal. Sowmya, seething with jealousy, sabotages the stove, ruining the dish. When Kusum tearfully admits it’s Mangal’s birthday, Sowmya cruelly reminds her of past betrayals. Later, Kusum watches Mangal with Akshat but walks away without a word, leaving Mangal confused about her hostility.
