The Principal informs Mangal that Neel cannot be granted admission because his previous school reported poor behaviour—he had been suspended three times. Hearing this, Neel defiantly declares that he is rejecting the school instead. He angrily eats the biscuits kept on the table and storms out. Mangal pleads with the Principal to give Neel a chance to improve, but the Principal firmly refuses.
Meanwhile, at home, Kusum asks Adit to tell Sowmya not to take on any household responsibilities. Sowmya argues that she must look after Adit and the children, so stopping her from working isn’t right.
Back at the school, Mangal explains through a heartfelt example why Neel deserves one more opportunity. The Principal softens and agrees, asking her to bring Neel the next morning at 9:30
At home, Sowmya tells Kusum that since Mangal said she would take care of the children, and now Neel is staying with them, she wants to share Adit’s responsibilities as well. Adit reassures Kusum that Sowmya can manage. Sudesh overhears their conversation. Sowmya secretly decides to ensure Mangal loses the Pehla Swad competition.
Later, Mangal thinks about dropping Neel at school before heading to the competition. As she walks, Sowmya intentionally bumps into her, causing her papers to fall. She pretends to help pick them up. Adit arrives and asks why she is bending; Sowmya, noticing Mangal, pretends innocence and says she was just helping. She then intentionally thanks Adit for bringing her favourite ice cream, trying to make Mangal jealous, before stepping aside.
Mangal tells Adit that she has filled Neel’s admission form and needs his signature so they can pay the fees. Adit explains that he already paid Akshat and Ishana’s fees and didn’t think about Neel’s. Mangal says all three children deserve equal opportunities. Adit admits it’s tough since he saved some money in an FD for Sowmya’s child. Mangal says she will manage the fee somehow. Listening to this, Sowmya thinks that one day Mangal will be in need, and that’s when she will show her true power.
The next morning, Mangal drops Neel at school, wishes him luck for the interview, and leaves for the competition. The Pehla Swad workers await her arrival. The anchor announces that the competition begins at 10 a.m. and that no contestants will be allowed after five minutes. Sowmya tells the workers they may have to begin without Mangal. Just then, Mangal arrives breathlessly, making Sowmya unhappy.
The anchor instructs everyone to keep their phones on silent. Mangal prays to Bappa for strength and success. The introduction round begins, where contestants must share their vision for Pehla Swad 2.0. Suddenly, Mangal notices repeated calls from the Principal. Worried, she steps aside to return the call. The Principal informs her that Neel didn’t come for the interview. Shocked, Mangal apologises, saying she personally dropped him at school, and requests some time to find him. The anchor reminds her that phone usage is prohibited during the competition. Mangal calmly says she has made her decision—and leaves.
Mangal rushes to the school and asks the watchman about Neel, but he hasn’t seen him. She checks nearby shops, and one shopkeeper tells her Neel went in a certain direction. At the competition venue, Sunitha calls Mangal, telling her to return because the event has already begun. Mangal says she cannot—she must find her son. The contestants begin presenting their brand visions just as the power goes out at the venue.
Meanwhile, Mangal continues searching and sees some children playing cards. Neel is standing behind them, only watching, but she fails to notice him and walks away. Suddenly, the police arrive and detain the boys. Neel protests, saying he was only watching and didn’t play, but the Inspector ignores him and forcibly tries to push him into the jeep.
At that moment, Mangal reaches the spot and sees Neel. When the Inspector asks who she is, she urgently responds that she is Neel’s mother.
Precap: Thieves break into Mangal’s house, attack her, and steal the money she had kept safely. Later, Sowmya secretly meets the goons, hands them their payment, and thanks them for carrying out her plan.
