Mangal cuts her cake, and Kusum presents her with the shagun ka thali. But when Mangal opens it, she finds everything spoiled. Shanti taunts Kusum, accusing her of ruining Mangal’s happiness. Despite Kusum’s denial, Shanti lashes out until Sudesh reveals it was Sowmya who broke the bangles and spoiled the dress. Sowmya denies the accusation, but Sudesh insists he saw it with his own eyes. Shanti declares that only this “chudail” could do such a thing. Sowmya arrogantly says she isn’t jealous of Mangal, belittling her, but Kusum reminds her that Mangal has love in her life—something Sowmya can never have.
When Adit remains silent, Sowmya demands his support, but instead he urges her to apologise. Furious, she refuses, saying even her slippers wouldn’t apologise to Mangal. Adit shouts at her to say sorry, leaving everyone stunned. Meanwhile, Bua Dadi slaps Bijli for failing to find out about Mangal’s absence from work. Later, Sowmya fumes at Adit for not standing by her, mocking Sudesh’s words, but Mangal defends her father. Sowmya storms out, and Adit apologises to Mangal on her behalf, making Kusum happy to see his change.
Raging in her room, Sowmya vows revenge on Sudesh for exposing her. At the same time, Kusum breaks down, feeling she failed to keep Mangal as her daughter-in-law. Mangal consoles her, promising to always visit. Kusum blesses her and suggests going to the temple with Adit and the kids.
Later, Sowmya corners Sudesh, threatening him to stay silent or face death. Sudesh is shocked and collapses as a photo frame shatters beside him. Meanwhile, Bua Dadi confronts Pratima about the missing ancestral jewellery. Relieved it’s only about the necklace, Pratima explains it’s at the jeweller’s for polishing.
When Mangal and Kusum return from the temple, they find Sudesh unconscious. After reviving him, he struggles to speak, claiming he was forced to fall off the cliff before. He then shakily draws Sowmya’s tattoo on Mangal’s hand, leaving Mangal shocked as she connects it to his past accident.
