Scene 1
Somiya calls Adit. He says I’ve to go. He leaves. Mangal says I should have walked carefully. Akshar says Mummy your foot is bleeding. The kids get worried for her. Lakshmi says please come in. Karthik and Lakshmi take her inside. Karthik asks Lakshmi to bring first aid. Mangal says we don’t need to go to a doctor. Kusum says Mangal Karthik is right. You should go to a doctor. There’s so much work left to do, you should have been careful. Lakshmi brings first aid and cleans her wound. Lakshmi gets worried for her. They bandage her foot. Karthik says should we inform Karthik? It’s too deep.
Karthik comes to Somiya’s place and says sorry I got late. Mangal created a full drama. They check the file together. The doctor dresses Mangal’s wound and says the cut is deep. You should rest for a couple of days. Lakshmi says you heard? You need to rest. Karthik says to give her sleeping pills only then will she rest. Lakshmi says exactly. Mangal says don’t worry about me. Lakshmi says should I call Adit. Mangal says no he’s busy. Lakhsmi says how is he so busy. Because of him being hasty, you got this bruise.

Somiya gets a cut from a staple pin. Adit says are you okay? He gets worried for her. He says let’s go to a doctor. SHe says it’s just a stapler pin. I will be fine. He cleans her wound. Adit says to stay careful. Lakshmi says Adit should have been with you here. Karthik had to come. Karthik says it was important. Mangal says Adit had work. He had an important meeting. That’s how men are. Adit dresses Somiya’s wound and says I will work. You rest. Lakshmi messages him Mangal’s foot. He leaves his foot in anger. The doctor gives Mangal medicine adn says be careful. Karthik gets her medicine. Karthik brings the medicine. He says we should go to a nearby restaurant. She can’t eat medicine without food. Mangal says why go to a restaurant. We’ve food cooked at home. Amma and Mausi must be waiting for us. Karthik says they will enjoy their time together. Karthik calls Kusum adn tells her the doctor gave her a painkiller and asked her to rest. she’s in pain. I was thinking we should have lunch here so she can take medicine. Kusum says okay. Karthik says let’s go.
Kusum tells Gaitri Karthik said they will eat outside. Gaitri doesn’t like the fact that Karthik didn’t tell her and inform. Mangal and Lakshmi enjoyed lunch with Karthik. Lakshmi looks at the price list. Karthik asks Mangal to order. She says you should order. Adit always orders. I don’t know much. He says you will order today. We will all eat what you like. Like you decide what will be cooked at home. She says amma decides what will be cooked, I just cook. It makes my work easier. He says so you always cook and eat food of other people’s choice. We will only order your choice today.
Kusum serves the food. She says Mangal does everything so I am not used to it now. Papa says if Mangal didn’t cook we’d only have khichdi. Gaitri says she cooks the best food. Kusum says I taught her. Papa says she always cooks well. She says I taught her my ways. I am very lucky, Mangal takes care of me well. Papa says she has to, you get mad. Karthik asks Lakshmi her choice. Mangal decides. She remembers she never cooks that dish because no one likes it but her. People gather around and start taking Karthik’s photo. Lakshmi recalls the viral video. She hides her face with the menu. Karthik says don’t worry. I am sorry about what happened. He asks the fans to click photos on a side with him. Mangal says Karthik is so nice and wise.
Kusum asks Gaitri why she’s not eating. She says I was waiting for Karthik’s call. Papa says he’s an adult now. He will be married soon. His wife will take care of his things. He will live and eat as per his wife’s choice. A son is only a mom till his wife comes. He is joking but Gaitri doesn’t like it. She drops the spoon and her saree is spoiled. Gaitri says let me clean this. Kusum says you said so much. He says I was joking. Kusum goes after her. Sonu calls Lakshmi. She goes out to take the call. A girl says it’s the same girl in Karthik’s video. They make fun that Karthik likes such a boring girl. They make fun of her dress. Lakshmi asks Mangal are you okay? Is it hurting? Mangal says I am fine. Karthik comes back to the table.
Gaitri cleans her saree. She imagines her MIL saying are you scared Gaitri? You took me soon and now your son will leave you. You will die alone. You will suffer. It’s my curse. A mother’s curse. She cries. Kusum comes there. She asks Gaitri are you okay? She gets a panic attack. Kusum says he was just joking. Please relax. Gaitri says I am very scared. What if Maa was right? What if some girl takes Karthik away from me?
Scene 3
Adit and Somiya come to the same restaurant. Karthik orders food of Mangal’s choice. She recalls Kusum and Adit being mad once she cooked the food of her choice. Mangal says I am eating it after so long. Lakshmi serves her. She says I like it so much. Lakshmi sees Adit and Somiya. She’s shocked. Mangal looks there but there are people in front of them.
