Kapil is lost in thought, haunted by the memory of Mangal wearing sindoor and mangalsutra. Pratima watches as he mindlessly pours water into uncooked rice and tries to eat it, only to vomit. When she confronts him, he claims exhaustion, but Pratima sees through him—his turmoil stems from unspoken feelings for Mangal. She notes Mangal’s absence from work, but Kapil insists she’s free to focus on her family.
At home, Kusum subtly stops Sowmya from sitting beside Adit at breakfast. Sudesh gestures for something, and Mangal encourages him to speak. To everyone’s joy, he clearly asks for salt—a sign of his improving health. Sowmya grows uneasy, fearing his recovery may expose her past crimes.
Akshat excitedly shows Sudesh photos to jog his memory. When Sudesh recognizes their new house, Kusum beams—but Sowmya abruptly leaves, claiming a video call. Later, Akshat prays for his parents’ reunion, unaware their closeness is just an act for Sudesh’s sake. Ishana overhears and lashes out, calling Adit and Mangal selfish for toying with Akshat’s hopes before storming off.
When Akshat notices Adit’s loose shirt button, he confidently declares, “Mangal will fix it.” Though reluctant, Mangal sews it back—prompting Sowmya’s jealous outburst. She “accidentally” pricks Adit with the needle, but he brushes off her theatrics and leaves for work.
Meanwhile, Pratima visits Kusum’s house and spots Mangal’s sindoor, realizing Kapil’s heartache. As she tearfully turns to leave, Kusum invites her in, but Pratima declines, pointedly questioning, “If Sowmya is Adit’s wife, why is Mangal wearing sindoor?”
In the shadows, Sowmya sabotages Mangal’s care for Sudesh, swapping his warm water with scalding-hot liquid, scheming, “Let’s see her wriggle out of this.” Secrets unravel, loyalties fracture, and love and deceit collide in a house where nothing is as it seems.
Precap: Sudesh falls victim to Sowmya’s trap, but Mangal is wrongly blamed for the incident. A furious Adit lashes out at Mangal, leaving her heartbroken and prompting her to make the difficult decision to leave the house.
