Adit tells Sowmya that every action taken is for Sudesh’s welfare, urging her not to cause a scene before leaving. Unmoved, Sowmya decides to manage things her own way. During a meal, Sudesh notices Sowmya seated in Mangal’s usual spot beside Adit and points this out. Kusum quickly intervenes, explaining it’s Mangal’s seat and asks Sowmya to move.
Meanwhile, Kapil anxiously waits for Mangal at a meeting, concerned about the delay and growing uneasy as investors make s*xist remarks about women and business. Kapil firmly defends Mangal and women in general, stating he won’t work with those who hold such views. Mr. Agarwal accuses him of being too emotional, but Kapil stands his ground, worried that something might have happened to Mangal.
Back home, Kusum removes wedding photos of Sowmya and Adit, prompting Mangal to question her. Kusum explains she wants to spare Sudesh emotional distress. When Adit arrives, he tells Mangal not to oppose Kusum, emphasizing the need to protect Sudesh from further upset. As Kusum prepares to display a wedding photo of Adit and Mangal, Shanti intervenes, accusing Kusum and Adit of exploiting Mangal for their own benefit and declaring, “You’ve already lost her.”
Sowmya, meanwhile, is pleased, recalling how she secretly instigated Shanti against the Saxena family. Kusum tries to pacify Shanti, but Shanti refuses, insisting she won’t tolerate injustice toward Mangal. When Kusum pleads for Sudesh’s sake, Shanti asserts her daughter’s well-being comes first and demands that Mangal leave with her. Mangal resists, but Shanti chastises her for becoming submissive again, criticizing the family for manipulating Mangal’s marital symbols for their own needs.
Mangal tries to explain her actions are for her father’s health, but Shanti remains unmoved, warning that the family will never appreciate Mangal’s sacrifices and threatening to reveal everything to Sudesh herself. Adit and Kusum beg Shanti not to say anything, leading her to question why Mangal should continue helping the family if she’s no longer considered their daughter-in-law.
Suddenly, Sudesh enters and drops a bottle. Kusum rushes to him, pleading with Shanti not to escalate matters. Mangal realizes Sudesh didn’t hear the confrontation as he wasn’t wearing his hearing device, so she gently helps him and asks Kamala to escort him inside, while Sowmya is frustrated that Sudesh missed the argument.
Later, Kusum appeals to Shanti not to tell Sudesh anything, citing his fragile health. Shanti agrees to remain silent but insists on taking Mangal home, trying to pull her away as Mangal pleads for her to let go.
