Kapil returns home and greets Bua Dadi, who is upset that his fiancée, Mangal, isn’t with him. Pratima questions Kapil, who explains Mangal is at Akshat’s school. Worried, Pratima hopes to hide that Mangal is a divorced mother of two, fearing Bua Dadi’s disapproval.
When Mangal arrives, Bua Dadi recognizes her as the woman who argued with her at the temple and demands she leave. Kapil reveals Mangal is his chosen bride, angering Bua Dadi, who vows to prevent the marriage. After Bua Dadi storms off, Pratima scolds Mangal for causing trouble.
Later, Kapil defends Mangal’s honesty to Bua Dadi. She remains upset about her broken temple vow until Mangal offers her sacred prashad, which Bua Dadi accepts, blessing Mangal. The tension eases momentarily.
As Mangal and Kapil leave for a work meeting, Bua Dadi tells Pratima Mangal seems kind but too old, though “since she isn’t married yet, it’s fine.” Pratima panics, knowing the truth would enrage Bua Dadi.
Suddenly, Mangal’s son Akshat arrives calling, “Mom!” Bua Dadi sees him, and Pratima lies he is the servant’s son whom Kapil tutors. Bua Dadi, holding a box of spoiled sweets, decides to give them to Akshat. When she questions him, he points at Mangal and says, “I’m waiting for my mom,” unknowingly threatening to expose Mangal’s secret.
