During a protest at the temple, Mangal and other devotees argue against the unfair priority given to a VIP, asserting that God is equal for all. A priest, moved by their plea, finally allows them entry. The VIP is revealed to be a blindfolded Dadi (Kapil’s aunt). When her servant leaves to retrieve a forgotten item, a hoarding nearly falls on Dadi, but Mangal heroically saves her, causing Dadi’s blindfold to slip and her first sight to be Mangal.
This act of salvation is met with fury instead of gratitude. Dadi’s servant accuses Mangal of breaking her mannat (vow), as she wished to see the Goddess first. Dadi herself refuses forgiveness, throwing mud on Mangal’s saree to spoil it before storming off. Despite the insult, Mangal selflessly prays for the Goddess to still fulfill Dadi’s wishes.
Dadi arrives at Kapil’s house, where Pratima welcomes her. Dadi complains about a girl ruining her sacred vow at the temple, hoping Pratima has chosen a better bride for Kapil. Unaware the “girl” is Mangal, Pratima assures her the chosen daughter-in-law is good.
At the office, Kapil notices Mangal’s wet saree, and she explains an old lady was involved. Meanwhile, Dadi scolds Pratima for the lack of preparations for her arrival. In a kind gesture, Kapil gives Mangal a new saree to change into, concerned for her health, and she gratefully accepts. He then invites her to meet his visiting Bua Dadi, but Mangal must first keep a promise to Akshat.
The episode ends with a poignant moment at Adit’s house. He looks at old family photos with Kusum, expressing pride in his children. When Mangal arrives wearing the new saree from Kapil and reveals it was his gift, Adit is visibly saddened, a reaction keenly observed by Kusum, hinting at his unresolved feelings.
