Mangal is busy preparing a cake for Ishana’s birthday when Sonu messages her, congratulating her on her upcoming marriage to Kapil. Kusum arrives, admiring the cake, and asks if Kapil and Pratima have been invited. Mangal avoids answering and quickly leaves.
Meanwhile, Kapil is asleep when Pratima returns home. Startled by his presence, she questions his odd behavior and mentions hearing that Mangal had visited. When Pratima tries to call Mangal, Kapil stops her, revealing that Ishana overheard their earlier conversation and told Mangal everything—leading her to call off the wedding. Pratima argues that relationships can’t end so easily, but Kapil insists they must respect Mangal’s decision.
Elsewhere, Adit asks Sowmya to help with decorations. She reluctantly agrees after some persuasion. Akshat informs Mangal that Kapil hasn’t confirmed his attendance yet, leaving her uneasy. Sowmya taunts Mangal, saying this is Ishana’s last birthday in their home and that Mangal always gets more than she deserves—even men—while Adit has nothing, not even children. Mangal ignores her, but then receives a shocking call and rushes out.
At Pratima’s house, Mangal learns that Pratima had someone fake an emergency call to get her there. Pratima explains that Mangal only heard half the truth and shows her the kids’ room Kapil decorated for Ishana and Akshat. She reveals how deeply Kapil cares for them, planning their schooling and future. Pratima clarifies that when she asked Kapil if he could replace Adit as their father, he honestly said he couldn’t—but would always be their friend. Ishana overheard only this part, leading to the misunderstanding. Moved, Mangal regrets her decision and invites Pratima and Kapil to the party.
Back home, Ishana enjoys her birthday festivities until Kapil arrives. Mangal welcomes them warmly and quietly apologizes to Kapil, who jokes that as her future husband, he doesn’t mind being scolded when deserved. Adit is visibly upset, while Ishana, seeing Kapil with Mangal, decides to teach him a lesson. Mangal assures Kapil she will clear things with Ishana the next day, confident that her daughter will understand. But Ishana, still hurt, has other plans.
