Mandana Karimi, who was last seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Lock Upp, is facing a lot of flak for her recent video that she shared on her social media account. In the video Mandana can be seen twerking in a hijab at a store in Istanbul.
Netizens slammed Mandana for the video saying that she was ‘disrespecting’ and ‘mocking’ the hijab. Mandana has finally broken her silence on the hate comments she has been getting for the video and otherwise.
She wrote, “And of course reading comments on my burka reel. DAMN people are crazy, this is a crazy world. I’m done, I wanna be a unicorn.”
The video Mandana posted (now deleted) saw her in a black burqa twerking to The Beatnuts’ Shakaboom at a store in Istanbul, Turkey. She captioned it as, “I wish shooting with hijab was as easy as this BTS…NO HATES just bunch of people making a film.” The video has now been removed from her Insta account.
