chapter – 2 :
Nandini was lying on the road lifelessly..someone came out from the car & shouted her name…He was none other than Nandini’s one & only brother.. Rishab Murthy ..
He took Nandini with her…He was very furious after listening everything from Nandini.. He was about to go to confront Manik about it but nandini stopped him giving him her promise & requested him to take her away from this place as this place is suffocating her..Rishab left Mumbai with Nandini & went to Delhi…he tried his best to cheer Nandini up & make her normal.. But she was lyk a dead body which is only breathing…
Rishab sent Nandini for a NGO work & tried to keep her bzy in their orphanage as he knew how much Nandini loves children…
& he was succeeded.. Finally Nandini started to smile…though her pain was visible in her eyes still Rishab was satisfied watching Nandini smiling after long tym…with tym Nandini started to recover from that incident but still she couldn’t forget Manik..every moment spent with him was still fresh in her mind & heart…
It was two years after that incident when Rishab came towards Nandini & was pleading her to get married with Aryaman…
Aryaman Khurana… He is also a great business & very good friend of Rishab..he saw Nandini in orphanage & fell for her immediately.. Then he came to know Nandini was none other than Rishab’s sister..He gave proposal to Rishab & asked for Nandini’s hand..Rishab told him everything about Nandini ,still he had no prblms with her past..he happily agreed to marry Nandini as he was madly in love with her…
Rishab forced Nandini & made her agree for this marriage.. Though Nandini was not happy with this marriage still Rishab was doing it for her happiness, to remove her loneliness..
So, today was Nandini’s Mehendi Night…all relatives & important persons were gathered there..Nandini came down wearing a green lehenga with red dupatta…she was looking very gorgeous & beautiful..
Function started & beauticians started to put Mehendi on her hands…everyone was enjoying but nandini was lost…she was lost in her past..thinking about her life..her Manik.. She wanted to know badly how is he..is he ok..why he never tried to find her..why didn’t he stopped her..why didn’t he trust her…why he left her when he promised to be with her forever.. Does he know about this marriage.. What might be his reaction after knowing about it.. Is he happy??
So many questions but no answer.. She was engrossed in her thoughts when suddenly beautician asked her about her husband’s name..
She was so much engrossed in her thoughts that she took Manik’s name absent mindedly.. Beautician wrote Manik’s name in her hands.. When she came out of her trans she noticed it & was shocked..she was numb to react…she got up from her couch & left from there..None stopped her as they all knew about Nandini.. All felt bad for her…
Nandini went towards her room & sat on her bed..tears were continuously falling from her eyes…she looked at her hand & closed her eyes murmuring “Manik”…
Suddenly someone kissed on her cheeks..she immediately opened her eyes & saw her Manik sitting on his knees in front of her with a bright smile on his face…He caressed her cheek & started singing-
Jaanam Dekh Lo Mit Gayi Dooriyan
Main Yahaan Hoon, Yahaan Hoon, Yahaan Hoon, Yahaan…
He wiped her tears & indicated her to smile on which she smiled broadly & hugged him tightly..

Now Nandini’s haldi function was going to start..she was wearing a yellow saree..her hair was tied in a bun..She was looking at the mirror while Manik appeared behind her & started singing-
Tum Chhupa Na Sakogi Main Woh Raaz Hoon..
He opened her hair & kissed her cheeks singing this line while she closed her eyes-
Tum Bhula Na Sakogi Woh Andaaz Hoon…
Manik took some haldi applied it in her cheeks singing these lines while she closed her eyes & silent tears fell from her eyes which he wiped immediately-
Gunjtaa Hoon Jo Dil Mein To Hairaan Ho Kyon
Main Tumhare Hi Dil Ki To Aawaz Hoon…
He took Nandini’s hands singing these lines & took her downstair..he made her sit where everyone was waiting for her Haldi function & the function started –

Nandini’s haldi function was over..she was lying on her bath tub when Manik appeared there & started cleaning Haldi from her body singing these lines-

After washing her he wrapped her in a towel & took her in his arms & went out from the washroom singing these lines while Nandini was just staring at his face as if her lyf depends on this face..if she close her eyes, he will vanish..-

Main Javaabon Mein Hoon, Main Sawalon Mein Hoon..
He made her sit on the bed & changed her into a beautiful kurta singing these lines while she was still lost in him –

Main Tumhaari Nazar Ke Ujaalon Mein Hoon….
Manik sat in front of her & sang these lines cupping her face –

He again took her in his arms & made her lie on the bed..then he kissed her eyes making her eyes close while singing these lines –

He sang these lines holding utmost love in his eyes for her & made her sleep by caressing her hair & she went into a deep slumber –

“It was the first tym when they made love…Manik’s head was resting on the cupboard while Nandini’s head was resting on his chest..Manik was caressing her hair..both had peaceful smile on their face…
Suddenly Nandini turned towards him…
Nandini : Manik…
Manik : Hmmm.
Nandini : Manik, u will never ever leave me na?? U will always stay with me na???
Manik cupped her face & kissed her forehead with utmost love..she felt so special & blessed…
Manik : u r my lyf Nandini… May be I can live a second without breathing, but I can’t imagine a moment of my lyf without u…u r my everything Nandini.. U r my JAAN..
Nandini was overwhelmed by his confession… She hugged him tightly saying ” I love you Manik..Humesha…” Manik also replied in the same audacity & hugged her tightly…”
Nandini got up from her sleep with a jerk screaming Manik’s name…she was panting badly…Rishab came towards Nandini running from his room…
Rishab : Princess ,what happened?? Are you ok??
Nandini composed herself…
Nandini : I’m fine bhai..just a dream…
Rishab smiled… He made her sleep on his lap…
Rishab : come..today I’ll make my princess sleep..
Nandini smiled & kept her head on Rishab’s lap while lying comfortably on bed…
Rishab caressed her hair…
Rishab : Nandini.. I know it’s really tough for u…but whatever I’m doing is for ur happiness only…I just want to see my little sister happy.. Aryaman is my very good friend.. He loves u a lot..he will always keep u happy, I promise…
Nandini : I trust u bhai…
Rishab : thnku princess for giving me a chance to prove myself.. I know I choosed a wrong person lyk Manik for u..but this tym,it won’t happen again..just promise me ,u will give this marriage a chance…
Nandini got up from his lap & said “I’ll try bhai..”
Rishab : but nandu…
Nandini : bhai I’m feeling sleepy..tomorrow is a big day..so let’s just sleep???
Rishab : ok..as u wish..gd nyt princess…
Nandini : gd nyt..
Rishab kissed her forehead & left from the room…
Nandini lied down on the bed & silent tears fell from her eyes..she closed her eyes murmuring “I still love you Manik & always will…”
Soon she drifted into sleep remembering about her life ,her Manik…
Morning,
Whole Murthy Mansion was in hustle bustle… Today was Nandini Murthy’s wedding with Aryaman Khurana…
Nandini was standing near the balcony staring at the sky…suddenly her phone rang…Without checking the caller id she answered it & said “Hello”….
Silence was coming from the other side of the phone…Nandini was startled..
Nandini : Ma..Manikkk …
Manik : Nandini…
Nandini closed her eyes after listening her name from his mouth after long two years…After hearing his melodious voice which she was yearning to listen since two years…A tear drop fell from her eyes….
Manik : Nan..Nandini…
By hearing his voice she can easily say that he was crying.. It was pricking her heart…She was feeling devastated hearing the sobs of her love…but she composed herself..
Nandini : how r u Manik??
Nandini heard his sarcastic chuckle…
Manik : awesome… Nandini I wanna meet u…
Nandini : but…
Manik : one last tym..
Nandini : ok…
Manik : I’ll text u the address.. Be there in one hour…
Nandini : hmmm…
Nandini cut the call & again gazed towards the sky & murmured ” Why Manik?? Why didn’t u stop me?? Why didn’t u trust me??” She fell on the ground & started crying for their miserable fate…
After one hour,
Nandini reached the place.. It was a cliff…Manik was standing in a corner facing his back towards Nandini…
She slowly slowly went towards him with small small steps.. she stood behind him..She wanted to call him…but her voice was ditching her badly…Finally she gathered some courage & called him saying “Ma..Nik”
Manik immediately turned towards her…Fresh tears fell from her eyes watching her Manik in front of her after two long years..That handsome face with sharp jawline, his deep intense eyes which used to held so much love for her, his perfect lips which always used to kiss her,peck her..she was watching all this after two years… But there was one thing which was the last thing she wanted to see..that was his tears,pain in his eyes…she never wanted to see them..she just wanted to see him happy always.. But Alas ! Today she had no right on him..she had no right to wipe those tears from his eyes as she was getting married today with someone else…

Manik hugged her tightly while she was standing there numb…she didn’t know how to react…

She slowly hugged him back & tears fell from her eyes..

Manik wiped her tears & cupped her face..both were lost in each others eyes…

Both joined their foreheads & closed their eyes feeling each other’s presence after a very long tym..
After a while both composed themselves & wiped their tears looking here & there…
Nandini : Why r u here Manik?? Why u wanted to meet me after two years??
Manik gave her a painful smile & brought something out from his pocket…it was a blue box..
Manik : woh..I wanted to give you this…
Nandini : what is this??
Manik opened the box.. There was a beautiful bracelet..
Nandini : This…but why??
Manik : woh..u r getting married na?? To it’s my gift for u…
Nandini was numb to react..she was shocked.. What kind of a person was he?? He called her here to give her this bracelet as her wedding gift??
Manik took her hand & made her wear the bracelet.. Then he kissed her knuckle & whispered “Congratulations Nandini”
Nandini was looking at his eyes in a shocking manner…all that was so easy for him?? That much easy to move on???
Manik : Nandini…
Suddenly a thud & manik’s hand was on his cheek..yeah,nandini slapped him…but he wasn’t shocked.. He thought he deserved it…
Nandini held him by his collar & started shouting at him…
Nandini : What do u think of urself Manik Malhotra?? It’s so easy for u na??? Didn’t I mattered anything in ur lyf?? Our relationship was that much meaningless for u??
Nandini jerked him closer by pulling his collar & shouted saying “Why u did this to US manik?? Why?? Why didn’t u believe me Manik?? Why didn’t u trust on ur Nandini?? Why didn’t u stop me?? Why did u let me go Manik?? Why???!!”
Nandini fell on the ground crying badly…Manik was standing there lyflessly making painful face..continuous tears were also falling from his eyes..both were crying on their fate..may be, it was their destiny…They weren’t Destined to be….
