Manan: Jaana Pehchana (4~Diary, photos and more)

(Coming up are some flashbacks of Sanjana aka Nandini and Anjali’s past life which was first birth so no horror for some days)

I skipped many diary entries but then I came to a page where there was a picture of a couple. I was shocked. The girl was Anjali and the boy looked exactly like Manik, I read further to know the whole matter. It read ‘I and Sanjay make a very great bond, it’s just four days and we’ve become partners in crime, mischief everything, we even sit together in our class, he’s really adorable, always smiling, making others smile, friendly with everyone, never rude, have cute expressions, he is the man of who i could only think of and read in novels about men like him, this week is dance competition and we’re partners in dance also, the practice is going awesome’.



Then I skipped some of the diary entries as it had nothing to do with Sanjay, then again a page came where there was something written about him. It said ‘My twin sister Sanjana is always trying to steal my friends from me, why is she doing that to me? She’s my sister for God’s sake, I am slowly losing all my friends, I feel so alone, only Sanjay talks to me, Sanjana says nonsense stuff that he dislikes me and likes her, from where did this topic come of liking and all, we are too young for that.’

Then the last diary entry said ‘It’s been two weeks since I and Sanjay are friends, Sanjana said that he loves her and not me, God knows what she was wanting, I saw them together today and she was teasing him, I went to them and they reacted as if a big secret is going on, I got embarrassed and went, today was my birthday, no it was our birthday, mine and Sanjana’s, and my mood was ruined by my own sister but when he gave me a gift, my mood became better. It was a necklace of mine and Sanjana’s photo. Its not that I don’t love Sanjana, but I was irritated by her behavior but everything got fine after cutting the cake together, I showed her my gift and she showed me hers, I boiled in anger seeing that she got same necklace as mine but the only difference was that it had her and Sanjay’s photo, this means that he really loves her, but no, I will get him for sure .’

I put the diary back and went through the photo album. There were some childhood pics then there was a cute picture of Sanjana and Anjali in which Anjali was smiling while Sanjana was sitting with a cute expression. Then there was a dancing picture of Sanjana and her and then Sanjay’s photo and Anjali’s photo together, maybe she got crush on her, then a picture in which they were standing together smiling, in one photo there was only Anjali dressed as a princess, then in one photo they were smiling broadly. Last two photos had Sanjana and Anjali posed as dancing and the very last pic, she was dressed in a maxi. There was one more photograph, it was a little girl who was a look alike of Nikki, she was standing between Anjali and Sanjay, I saw that below it was written me, Sanjay and Anjana, now I understand why she is visible to her only, because Anjali had a daughter who was look alike of my daughter, and I felt forced to play piano with her and got attracted to the soft music because I m a look alike of her twin. Strange right? Manik is also a look alike of Sanjay.

























I smiled a little then kept back both the things inside and my gaze went on a necklace, it had Sanjana’s and Sanjay’s picture. I think they had innocent love between them but never realized it. I was about to go then I heard some noises from the room.



“Sanjana, you won’t meet him, he likes me more than you.”

“This is not the truth Anjali, he likes us equally as friends, why are you being like this?”

“Oh please accept it you are in love.”

“Shut up!”

“Are you scared?”

“Fine I love him, and he too loves me, he has better bonding with me.”

“I will make sure he only has that special bonding with me.”

“Aaaaaahhh, stop Anjali get off me….aaaahhhh” *something breaks* “ouch!”

I quickly went out and locked the door behind me. I went to my room and saw Nikki playing with her toys sitting at Manik’s side of bed smiling, I don’t have a problem if she’s happy, but that girl looked evil yesterday in library. But dont know if it was hallucination or reality, I will have to find more about the sisters and Sanjay and Anjana too, now I will have to go to Bombay Model School to know further.

Where is her daughter now? Maybe she can tell me more about them, or maybe her parents can tell me more, I will find them too. At evening, Manik came and Nikki was fast asleep. I thought to share all this with him. Firstly I gave him dinner then I narrated everything to him, he was blank, he said I should take rest. Why ain’t he believing me?

I was again tossing left and right on the bed, Manik was also asleep now. What happened next was both expected and unexpected too. The soft music played again. No ways I am going in there again, I stuffed cotton in my ears and slept. I woke up in the midnight and saw Anjali standing near me. “Why are you trying to take away my Anjana from me? Please let her play with me, she’s my daughter”, she said. “Who are you?”, I asked. “Anjali, I saw you that day but you didn’t see me, that’s because I didn’t wanted you to see me”, he said. I sat up and my hand reached to touch her and it did, she was as cold as an ice. “Anjali, how do I look just like you? How does my daughter Nikki looks like your daughter Anjana and moreover, how does Manik look like Sanjay?” I asked curiously. “That’s because you were Sanjana in your past life, I was your twin, Manik was Sanjay, my husband,” she told me. “Are you here for your revenge?” I asked. “No, why will I take revenge from such a sister who gave me her identity and sacrificed her love for me? For Sanjay, I was Sanjana and Sanjana was Anjali, I was mentally unstable and so you got me married to him to make me fine,” she told me and I was shocked.
