Maitree requests that the committee’s female members see her presentation. The committee member informs her that the selection is complete and invites her to try again the next time. Ashish damages a committee member’s car tyre. He instructs them to listen to Maitree’s presentation until the mechanic has finished setting the car. Committee women say they avoid hiring a car. If they didn’t see the presentation after accepting the application, Ashish says it’s a crime. He introduces himself as a high court lawyer and threatens to sue them. Members of the committee have agreed to go see the Maitree project.
Maitree dazzles the committee’s female members. Committee members enquire about her years of experience and the number of employees she employs. Maitree reports that I have attended two events: my wedding and the birth of a friend’s son, Naamkaran. Sumithra encourages her to enjoy her newlywed life. Maitree says, “My husband died the day after my marriage, and I want to fulfil my dream while also helping other ladies in need.” Committee members, such as Maitree, believe in herself and agree to grant the fund if she organises a Chaitra Navaratri puja event with her own money and impresses them. Maitree considers how to obtain that much money.
Sona receives a call from Nandini’s Maami, who requests that she meet Vasundhara once. Sona inquires as to why she is required to visit their home. Vasundhara answers the phone and invites her to an important meeting. Sona concurs. Vasundhara believes Maitree will be captured.
Ashish on call learns from his team that he will not be getting new cases because he has lost custody of his wife. Ashish notices Maitree and tells her he will call them later. Ashish inquires about Maitree’s presentation. Maitree reports that the presentation went well, and they are interested in seeing her work. Maitree claims she must attend a government event on her own dime. Saransh’s insurance money, according to Ashish, has arrived. Ashish tells Maitree that she is free to use it. Maitree observes.
Sona visits Vasundhara’s home. She meets Nandini and requests that she recover quickly so that she can return to their home to care for her baby. Maami summons her downstairs to a cup of tea. Sona approaches Vasundhara and inquires as to why she called her. Vasundhara tells Sona that if both of the child’s grandmothers work together, they can persuade the court that Maitree does not need to be Nandish’s guardian, and that by doing so, they will not only get Nandish, but they will also break Maitree’s pride. Vasundhara inquires of Sona whether she agrees to the deal. Vasundhara puts her hands forward.
Maitree chastises Ashish for thinking she’ll spend drug dealer Saransh’s money. Ashish apologises and inquires about her financial arrangements. Maitree declares that she will violate her policy and use it. Ashish says it’s not easy, but let’s go do it because I have work in the court as well. Maitree tells him not to waste his time with her and to go to his court. She walks away.
Vasundhara’s hand is twisted by Sona. Vasundhara’s brother and wife intervene. Vasundhara inquires as to why she is unable to comprehend. She claims, “I thought you despised Maitree.” Sona claims that she despises Maitree, but she loves Ashish more, and she will not let him lose custody of his son to you because she despises you more. Maitree is also a member of my family because she is the widow of my son, and I will punish her rather than you. She warns Vasundhara to respect her boundaries. She hurls 100 rupees at Vasundhara’s face. Maami inquires as to why she is insulting Vasundhara. Sona claims I drank a sip of coffee at her place, so that one is paid for. Sona warns them not to attend the Surya puja that they are planning at their home.
PreCap: Everyone has gathered for Nandish function. Sona puts a holy thread necklace on Nandish’s neck. Meanwhile, Suman is showing everything to Vasundhara through a video call. Maitree says, Nandish might put in necklace inside his mouth. Ashish interrupts her and tells her to let Sona do it. Vasundhara watches everything. Suman gets scared and says that Nandish might swallow the coin, she should help. Vasundhara orders her not to do it, so that, Maitree can realise her mistake
