I’m sorry I can’t see you two watch me die. I’m leaving. Please don’t look for me.

It was the last thing Swara left for us – a scrambled piece of paper.

Where are you Swara? Where are you..?? It’s been eight months.. Eight lifeless months without you, love. Without you in my arms, I feel an emptiness in my soul. I find myself searching the crowds for your face—I know it’s an impossibility, but I cannot help myself. I cry day and night in search of you. I don’t find anything handsome in me anymore. Everything is just nothing without you beside me. I feel I am just a body without soul. But I know you are alive because my heart still beats and that is for you.

The entire world seems depopulated without you. It seems am just alone aimlessly wondering in this world. It took only a minute to find you, an hour to appreciate you, and a day to love you, but I won’t ever be able to forget you. I never knew days with you would be so beautiful that I could never erase them from my memory, until I die. If there is any such world after dying, then I’ll remember them there too..!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to wherever you are and bring you home again. I have been searching you even if you asked me not to. I can’t stop loving you. My heart can’t stop beating for you. If it does, it will be the last day of my life..!

Whoever said that loss gets easier with time was a liar. Because I can never stop loving you. Everything is at it’s place since you left, except the fact that I couldn’t hear you; I couldn’t feel you embracing me in your arms; making me to relax by massaging me with your hands; loving me; giving me my breakfast, clothes, vitamin tablets and your presence.

Missing you and not being able to see you is the worst feeling ever..! I don’t know your whereabouts, I don’t know how fine you are… I don’t know whether you are taking your meals or not, whether you are taking your medicines… I so wish to see you once, only once.

When I close my eyes I see you; when I open my eyes I miss you. I don’t get proper sleep. Most of the time I just lie on the bed thinking of our memories… The walks with you, our cotton candy, our date, our talks, our fights, our flirting. I miss our conversations; I miss how we used to talk every minute of everyday and how I was about to everything that was on my mind. I miss you so much…

I keep myself busy with the things I do but every time I pause, I still think of you. I miss you. A little too much, a little too often and a little more every day. Do you miss me Swara? Do you miss me the same way I do? I laugh at myself hysterically. My life has become a joke… I put question marks and answer them myself..! It seems foolish but keeps me going.

It’s just not me Swara, dad misses you too. He lives for you. He needs you, even if I am always there for him. But he does need you. We need you Swara please come back. Please come back love… I miss you…!

This heart has a hope.. A hope that arises everyday and everything keeps going because it’s said that those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday… Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.

I love you Mrs. Swara Sanskar Maheshwari… And I love you so much…
