Rarely does it happen that an award turns out to be a controversy and a moment which was supposed to make someone proud becomes their biggest headache. Such has been the case with actor Mahira Sharma, who recently took to her social media account and posted an image of how she received a certificate from DPIFF for her being a fashion icon in Bigg Boss 13. The award was Dadasaheb Phalke award and well, everyone took it seriously.
Soon, the DPIFF went on to issue a statement that the certificate is forged and that they didn’t issue any such document to her. Sharma have her clarification and she shared it with her fans too. She explained that she was the victim of miscommunication and that Mr. Premal Mehta, from Purple Fox Media was the one who handed her the certificate.
And now, according to recent updates, legal action is said to be taken against Mehta on the grounds of handing over the certificate.
Mahira even posted on her social media that she would like to return the certificate and end this controversy but she soon deleted her post.
