Vansh and Riddhima came back to their class for attending remaining lectures.Once the class got over,

Riddhima: So let’s meet at the basketball court in the evening.

Vansh: Don’t be late.

Riddhima nodded and left for her hostel.After a nap,she sat down to complete her notes.Once she was finished,she checked time.It was 5:50pm.She changed her clothes and headed towards the court.

It was 6:20 pm. Riddhima reached the basketball court and saw that Vansh was talking to someone on the phone.After he was done with his call,Riddhima went near him and asked,

Riddhima: Ready for the match??

Vansh: Ever ready.Also I have informed bhai that I would be late,so I’ll stay up at hostel with my friend,An…

Riddhima(interrupting): Vansh Raisinghania?

Vansh(smiled): Yes….umm..I’ll go and get the ball.

After he came back with the ball,

Vansh(dribbling the ball): So,there will be two rounds.Round 1 will be of 15 minutes.After a break of 5 minutes,there will be Round 2 of 40 minutes.I have already set the timer clock.The one with more points will win.And other rules,you must be knowing,right?

Riddhima: Yes,I know.

Vansh: So let’s start.

Saying this,he threw the ball up in the air.Vansh,being taller than Riddhima,grabbed the ball and started to dribble it.He went towards his basket and was about to shoot when Riddhima took away the ball and headed over to the other side.Riddhima was dribbling and making her way. Vansh was trying his best to take the ball from Riddhima and finally when Riddhima threw the ball to put it in the basket…Vansh jumped and…and….and he grabbed the ball and ran towards his basket. Riddhima tried to block his way and tried snatching the ball from him.But Vansh was unstoppable.He was about to shoot……….but trin tron….the time was over.

Round 1 was over and nobody had scored any point.There was a break of 5 minutes.Now,they somewhat knew about the playing style of each other.They made their respective game-plans.

Round 2 began.After the ball was thrown into the air,Riddhima tricked Vansh and got the ball.But Vansh was fast enough to take the ball.He stood behind the large arched
line and threw the ball.The shot was so accurate that the ball directly went into the basket and Vansh scored 3 points.Now the ball was with Riddhima.She was dribbling
the ball and went near her basket.But before she could throw,Vansh managed to get the ball and then he scored another 2 points.Vansh was going towards his basket,when,in spur of moment,Riddhima very cleverly took the ball.She came behind large arched line and threw the ball…..The ball didn’t go into the basket…..instead,it started to revolve on the basket loop.It revolved and revolved and revolved and…….and…….went into the basket,thus giving 3 points to Riddhima.Now the ball was with Riddhima,she was about to throw the ball,but the time was over.So the score was 5-3.Vansh had won the match.

After the match,

Riddhima: Congratulations Vansh!You really are an exceptionally talented player.It was a great match.

Vansh was silent.He came towards Riddhima.He was moving closer and closer….Riddhima was getting nervous,as to what was Vansh going to do….Vansh came and stood in front of Riddhima.Before Riddhima could speak something,Vansh bowed down his head.Riddhima was left dumb-struck at this gesture of Vansh.

Riddhima: Vansh….(she could hardly speak this)

Vansh: Riddhima,today you played really good.There’s really something in your style of playing,which is different from others.And the way you scored your last point,it is really impressive,Riddhima.Most girls can’t make that move.Also not every guy can do that.It was really a great match….and I have learnt a lot from you and today’s match.So that was my way of giving respect to my teachers.

Riddima(delighted): Thank you Vansh….

Vansh: I am looking forward to our next match(winked)

Riddhima(excited): Me too…umm…Vansh,it’s already 8….I should take a leave now.Bye bye.

Vansh: Bye!!
