When Vansh entered the house,he was shocked.The lights were off and there was complete darkness.He was shouting out the names of the family members,but none replied.

Riddhima had parked the car and was coming towards Vansh.But due to darkness,she couldn’t see the step and was about to fall when he held her…..Dil ye tere bina song plays..The share an eye-lock.The spotlight falls on them.Flower petals began to shower on them along with confetti. They were totally lost in each others eyes.They were totally unaware of the surroundings.

All the family members came down.Together,they all speak,

All(together): SURPRISE!!!!….HAPPY BIRTHDAY VANSH…

But they reached near Vansh,they were shocked to see him with a girl in a romantic pose….Vansh and Riddhima came back to senses and stood as if nothing had happened.They both were blushing and trying hard to avoid eye contact with family members.Vansh went up to dadi and hugged her.Tears started to flow from his eyes.They shared a hug for sometime and then parted.He touched her feet.Dadi wiped his tears and blessed him.Others too wished him birthday,but Pranati was hiding behind dadi.She didn’t dare to go near him.He noticed this and walked towards her.After he came and stood in front of her,she asked dadi to save her from Vansh.But before dadi could speak something,Vansh spoke

Vansh: Planned the whole surprise but not wished me….not fair.(and he smiled)

Pranati smiled and hugged him.

Pranati: Happy waala birthday bhai…..by the way,I’m sorry for the prank.but there was no other opti…

Vansh: Did I complain?

Pranati: no

Vansh: So no need to give justification….But you should definitely thank Riddhima,she sav…

Vansh then remembered that Riddhima too was there.He went to her.

Vansh: I’m really sorry Riddhima..actually I just..

Riddhima: It’s absolutely fine Vansh.I’m happy that dadi is fine….And yes…Happy Birthday.

Vansh: Thank you!(smiled)

Sumitra came to call them for cake cutting.
Sumitra: Vansh come…(to Riddhima)Beta,you also come and join us.

Riddhima nodded and left with her.After the cake was cut,everyone settled in the living room.Vansh introduced Riddhima to everyone.

Vansh: So she is Riddhima,my college friend.

Pranati: Bhai, friend yaa.. girlfriend??(winks)

Elders glared at Pranati.Riddhima was blushing.But she then took blessings of all the elders.Pranati was about to introduced herself,when Vansh thought

Vansh(thinking): Yaar,ab ye marvaayegi..(she will get me killed)..what if Riddhima came to know about me…no no no I have to stop her.

Pranati: Hi Riddhima,myself Pranati Ra…

Vansh(interrupting): Riddhima..she is Pranati,my younger sister.

Riddhima: Hi Pranati.

After this he introduced all his family members to Riddhima.Sumitra was talking to Riddhima, when Pranati asked,

Pranati: Bhai…after I had called you,I was thinking about how you would react when you’ll come to know about all this.But your reaction was totally opposite to what I
had imagined.

Vansh: Actually,when you told me about dadi,I seriously don’t remember anything after that.I was not in my senses.But yes Riddhima was the one who handled and
supported me.So you better ask from her.

Riddhima: Even I don’t know,what exactly happened after your call ended.but yes,when I saw him,he was kneeling down and crying bitterly.He was continuously taking dadi’s name.Although I tried to calm him down,but he was so tensed.He got up to drive back home,but was not able to handle himself,so I insisted to drive.And then after we reached home,I was about to fall when he held me….And you know the rest.

Sumitra held Pranati’s ears and said,

Sumitra: Always troubling him.What if something wrong would have happened.

Pranati(freed herself): Nothing would’ve happened mom….but bhai you didn’t even ask dadi about her health….According to you,she was ill.

Vansh: Because I knew it was a prank.

Everyone was shocked.,specially Riddhima and Pranati.When he noticed everyone was staring him with a questionable look,he spoke.

Vansh: Actually,when you called,I believed it to be true.But when Riddhima was driving,I calmed down myself….and when we entered,I saw that bhai’s car was not there.That was the first hint.If anything would had happened in real,then it was impossible for bhai to not be here with dadi….. Second was the darkness.Lights would had been ON if it was true.And third and last hint was the time.

Pranati: What?? Time?

Vansh: You know that I check time every time,I enter the house.So it was a reflex action that today also I checked time.Then I saw the date…..and then everything was clear….but when I saw dadi,I couldn’t control myself….but Pranati,I’ll never forget today’s prank…I’m warning you before-hand,be prepared for my surprise.(and he gave her an evil smile.)

Pranati: Bhai,you are scaring me?…But I must say,you were smart in this case.

Vansh: were smart?? I am smart.

Pranati: now it’s too much.

Vansh pulled her hair and ran.Pranati too ran behind to catch him.Riddhima was shocked to see this jovial and naughty Vansh.She had always thought him as a serious person.After the bro-sis duo were done with their fight,they came back.

Pranati: Riddhima,you are a hosteler,right…So what you both were doing together at that time.

Riddhima and Vansh were both speechless.They were looking at each other,when suddenly Vansh spoke up,

Vansh(trying to avoid): Riddhima,it’s 2 o’clock.Come,I’ll drop you.We have classes tomorrow.Come.

Riddhima(understood what Vansh wanted to say): Yes,let’s go.

Riddhima bids adieu to family members and was about to leave when Pranati stopped her and hugged her.She whispered,

Pranati: Riddhima,this time Vansh bahi and you ignored my question,but don’t worry I’ll get to know everything….By the way,you make a good pair.

Riddhima blushed.She waved them goodbye and along with Vansh,left for the hostel.
