Chapter 34- This is how it ends?
Somewhere in a ruined warehouse
Soniya’s POV
I was happily walking out after finishing off my last exam and the thought that I won’t be able to see him hereafter was killing me from within. Immersed in my own thoughts I dint notice my duppata coming off slowly from my face. I just walked a few steps before being pulled inside a minivan. That is when I realised my face was completely visible by now. Before I could scream something was shoved into my mouth, making me inaudible.
After some time I saw a guy riding in a bike behind us and was trying to follow us. I tried my best to shout forgetting that my mouth was sealed shut with a rag. And then I saw him meeting with a terrible accident in front of my eyes. There went my only way of hope.
I became unconscious and woke up to find myself in here on the floor. Staring at me was my uncle with menacing eyes that would pierce me if not the dagger in his hands. I heard a muffled cry coming from a few metres away from me, realisation hit me like a rock when I recognised that to be my mother’s voice.
I was filled with panic and dread and stared at my mother with my mouth wide open in shock thinking how did he get my mother. As if answering my question my uncle Kalia answered,” Finding your mother was not that difficult. I just said I got you in my clutches and spread the word.” Shrugging his shoulders, he came closer to me and asked,” Do you still remember what happened that day?”
Soniya’s mom POV
He just wouldn’t let my daughter live in peace. It took so many years for her to come out of that nightmare. Why would he do this to her just why. I can never forget that fateful day when he tried to force himself upon her, if I hadn’t reached home on time I don’t know what would have happened to my daughter. She still has nightmares about it, I just hoped we could get out of his hands soon, but fate had other plans.
I can see her hyperventilating after hearing his question. I shouted, ” Breathe Soniya, relax please for god’s sake breathe.” I can hear these monsters laugh at my daughter’s plight all I could do was curse through my tight lips. I am ashamed of being his sister, how can an uncle do something like this to his own niece. I hope he faces a fate worse than death.
Kalia’s POV
She is still affected by that incident amazing, I thought mother and daughter would have forgot about it completely. Look at her hyperventilating. “Ha ha ha ha” What a sight to watch just like it happened back then but my sister intervened and I wasn’t able to do a thing. Now nobody can interfere. I am going to make her life a living hell.
