Its the longest chapter I’ve ever write….Hope you’ll enjoy it….
The new phase of Shivaay’s life has started….Six months world tour,it was really like dream come true for him…He’s the happiest but leaving Annika behind was the biggest lost for him…Annika was really happy for him but deep inside she was completely broken…Shivaay was his lifeline,a day without him was unimaginable for her….
Whenever they had a fight,whole day she used to be restless without talking to him…And now for six months,she wont be able to see him….She knew that he’ll stay connected to her but she also knew that distance will affect their bond….She knew that he doesnt love her and she was completely fine with it,she didnt want to force herself on him but she was hoping that this distance wouldnt fade their friendship…She was hoping that Shivaay wouldnt change….She was hoping that for Shivaay,she always tops his priority list,she was hoping that even after six months,she would get her best friend as it is…..
But how much we deny,distance changes the bond whether its intentionally or intentionally…..
Shivaay was enjoying his life…First Paris,Venice,Zurich and many more cities were there on his list….Initially as he had promised to Annika,they used to have video call daily but gradually Shivaay got so much engrossed in enjoying his life that he didnt paid heed to Annika….
She used to drop messages daily asking about his day,his health…..Sometimes he didnt check them and sometimes he got so tired that he dozed off to sleep and forgot about her messages…
Annika was really understanding and she never complained about this..She knew it was his dream and she used to think just three more months then everything will be sorted….
It’s been one week,Shivaay has neither called her nor replied to her messages….She really got worried…So she herself tried to call her….And here Shivaay was enjoying his two weeks packages in a hotel at Amsterdam and was barely checking his mobile…..
Annika tried so many times,at last she decided to call the head of team Ranvijay of which Shivaay was a part but he wasnt picking up the call too as he was busy with some girl…This made her more anxious…And finally after 10-12 calls,he picked up the phone……
“Dont you’ve basic etiquette,if I’m not receiving the call it means I’m busy,didnt you get that…?”shouted Ranvijay
“Sorry,I’m really sorry…It was an emergency….You know Shivaay,actually I’m trying to call him and he isnt receiving the call,It’s been more than a week I’d talk to him…..Please if you can ask him to call me,please…..”pleaded Annika
“What do you think….I’m his PA..?He works under me,you get that…..'”Ranvijay yelled
“I know….And I’m really sorry for that….Will you please ask him to call me…..Please….”asked Annika hiding her emotions
Ranvijay cut the call and went to Shivaay in anger.. Shivaay was in a pub enjoying the party….
“Mr.Shivaah what do you think of yourself….?Am I your PA..?Now I’ll have to take your calls??”Ranvijay shouted at him infront of everyone
“Excuse me Sir…..What happened….?”asked Shivaay being confused
“Annika had called me infact disturbed me,she was calling me constantly….Look Shivaay,I’m warning you for the first and last time if you want to enjoy this tour keep your personal life aside….”said Ranvijay leaving from there
This whole incident made Shivaay embarassed among his friends…He left to his room ,boiling in anger,dialled Annika’s number and……….
“Hey Shivaay,How are you…?I was calling you for so many days…..”said Annika with concern
“Shut up….Just shut up Annika…..I’m not a kid…..I can take care of myself…If I’m not answering the call,it means I’m busy….Dont behave like you are my girlfriend….I’m not answerable to you….Did you get that….?”Shivaay just burst out his anger on her
She silently cut the call….
“Hello….hello….woww great….Fine….I also dont want to talk to you…..”shouted Shivaay throwing his mobile
Shivaay’s each and every word was echoing in his mind….She just sat on the bed,hugging her legs,tears were flowing involuntarily from her eyes….All their beautiful memories was coming as flashes infront of her eyes….

“How can you talk to me like this Shivaay….How…??Our bond was this much week that it took you just 4 months to change…??I know you very well and your anger too but this wasnt you…..How can you be so rude…I was just worried about you….And busy ???like seriously..?You didnt go their for any meeting Shivaay….You were busy in enjoying your life….???Whenever it came to you,I’ve never thought about my happiness….I used to do whatever makes you happy…..I had left my cousin’s wedding because you were admitted at hospital and you needed me….I had left my annual day function for which I had practiced for a month just because you wanted to go for a trip with me….Yaa I know you also have done a lot of things for me but being in your comfortable zone….I’ve never demanded anything from you and now talking to me disturbs you…??You are busy in enjoying YOUR life …??How could you Shivaay……How could you….?”
She cried and cried until she fell asleep……When she woke up its already 11:00pm….She immediately checked her mobile expecting that Shivaay would have texted to make up whatever he had done in the morning….But to her surprise,there wasnt a single text…..Again she kept her self respect aside and thought that may be she was disturbing her and called him to sort everything….
Here,his mobile ringed….Shivaay was in washroom,his friend was there…..
“Who’s calling..?”asked Shivaay
His friend took the mobile to check the name but accidentally call was received….
“Annika…..”said his friend
“Dont receive the call and put the mobile on flight mode…..I dont want to talk her….”said Shivaay sternly
After listening this,Annika cut the call…..
“Annika,you were important for him when he needed you ..Now he has his life and he doesnt need you…So just stop thinking about him and focus on your life…..He has taken me for granted….I shouldnt waste my feelings on someone who doesnt value them….If he doesnt need me,if he doesnt want to talk to me then I can also do the same….From no onwards,the most important person in my life is me…!!!”
Annika tried to keep herself busy as mush as she could..It was really difficult for her as Shivaay wasnt just his friend,he was her life and above all that she loved him…But she was trying her best…..It’s been two weeks but Shivaay didnt take any effort to have a conversation with her……She wanted to talk to him but this time her SELF RESPECT wasnt allowing her……But whenever she checks his SNS(social networking sites),she fell week…..
She craved for him but she she wasnt getting any signal from him that he’s missing her……
And to keep herself in peace,she took a big decision…..Though they werent talking but still she was getting affected with all this and she finally BLOCKED him from all SNS….
Here Shivaay was missing her but his EGO was soo big……He used to check her SNS but never took any effort to have a conversation…..
“I know whatever I’ve said was wrong….I shouldnt have done that….But she knows I’ve said all that in anger and I didnt meant that…..I know I couldnt give her time which she deserves…I am sorry for that….I’ve so many things to share with you yr…..I know I used to make up everything but this time I’ve stretched it so much ….I need you yr…..”
He finally decided to talk to her but he didnt have that much guts to talk to her…..So he thought of texting him on SNS….
“Hey Annika….I know you are upset….Whatever I did,I shouldnt have done…..I’m really sorry but all that was just impulsive….Cant we forget everything and give a fresh start…?”
Two hours passed but no reply and then he found that she has blocked him….
“What….!She has blocked me…!!Did I take it too far…?I know I’d promised her that I’ll give her time….!Yr Annika….!!”
He called her with a different number….
On call
A–“Hello….”
S–See,please dont cut the phone….I’m really sorry for whatever I’ve done….I know I’m stupid…Please forgive me please…..
A–I’ve forgiven you long back Shivaay…Now all this doesnt matter to me
S–Annika please dont say like this…I know its my fault….I’m really sorry…..
A–No,its my fault Shivaay….I was expecting a lot..I forgot that we are just friends…I forgot that whatever you’ve promised,you were drunk at that time….Its all my mistake so please dont say sorry….
S–Annika,I’m already guilty….Dont say all this…
A–I know why you’ve called….I didnt want to block you but I’d to….I’ll unblock you…Hope you are enjoying your life….I’ll talk to you later….Have some work….Bye….
S–Annika wait……
But she had cut the call and soon after that she unblocked him…..
“Why all this happening…..Its all my mistake….I’ve hurt her…..It was my responsibility to not let her cry and now I’m the reason …But I’ll make up all this…..””
Shivaay was scrolling her insta feed and a picture caught his attention……Annika,Annika’s family and a guy and his family were having dinner at some restaurant…..Caption was “NEW BEGINNING”….
Shivaay was hell shocked seeing that pick…..He instantly dm her,
S “What’s this.?will you explain…..?”
Annika replied after 3 hours….
A “Sorry I was busy…..”
S “Amazing,initially you used to reply my texts within nanoseconds….”
A “A lot has changed Shivay….Anyways how’s your tour going…One more month right…?”
S “Yeah it is going well….One month for this tour….After that I’ve got some other offers too and I have to continue it from here only….”
A “Amazing…..enjoy your life….”
S “I’ve also asked you something about that pic…”
A “Ohh yeah….That is my fiance Rahul…We’ve gone for a family dinner….”
S “Fiance…???Are you kidding me…?And did all this happen??suddenly…?When were you going to tell me..?”
A “Relax Shivaay…..Its my life and I dont need to ask you for everything….And we werent talking at that time…Mom and Dad asked me about this alliance and I told yes…”
S “But you didnt want to marry right..?Then what happened suddenly…?”
A “I wanted lots of things and everything cant happen as I want…”
S “Annika….”
A “Anyways……You wont be able to join my wedding,right…?As you’ve some other projects and my wedding is on 10th of next month …..”
S “What….??” After 10 days….Annika please dont do this…!!”
A “What happened Shivaay…..It’s to happen one day….”
S “You’ll forget me and what about US..?”
A “US…?It has ended long time back Shivaay….Now its just YOU and ME……And about forgetting,my memory isnt that week,I dont forget things easily….”
*No reply*
A “Anyways,talk to you later…..Have to go somewhere with Rahul…Bye”
S “Bye….”

“Good morning….”said Annika rubbing her eyes
“Wait ,what….!!What are you doing here .. ?When did you come back ,Shivaay…..”asked Annika being shocked
“Now my best friend is getting married,so I’d to come…..”said Shivaay
“Best friend,seriously….”said Annika with anger
“I know you are angry,so I’m here to make everything normal….”said Shivaay holding her hand
“Nothing will get normal….We dont share that bond anymore…”said Annika jerking his hand
“Annika….I’m sorry n….”said Shivaay
“Shivaay,your sorry wont change anything….How have I spent those days only I know while you were busy in enjoying your tour….!!How can you forget everything so soon Shivaay….Your day used to start by texting me but then we didnt talk for weeks and it didnt affect you…..You’ve changed Shivaay,you’ve changed…..””said Annika with tears on her eyes
“I know it was all my fault…..I am really sorry for that…..please dont cry….”said Shivaay wiping her tears
Annika’s mobile rings
A–Yaa Rahul…..Yaa ok….I’ll be there…..8 pm…?ok fine….you’ll pick me…Bye
“Where are you going….”asked Shivaay
“Pub with Rahul….”said Annika going towards washroom
Shivaay held his hand….
“But you dont like pubbing,then…?”asked Shivaay
“A lot has changed Shivaay….”said Annika freeing his hand
“You wont go and thats final….”said Shivaay
“Try me….”said Annika

“Whats wrong with her….!I need to meet this Rahul….”
Shivaay followed Annika to pub…..Rahul hugged Annika and Shivaay was looking them from far…..Rahul held Annika from her waist,this made Shivaay clenched his fist….Rahul asked Annika to accompany him for dance……They were dancing and Rahul was hell closed to her which was making Annika uncomfortable but she knew Shivaay was also here so she went with flow…..
And their closeness was making Shivaay restless….His blood was boiling due to anger…..
Rahul was about to kiss Annika and this was it ….Shivaay came forward,held her hand and came out of the pub….
Annika mentally thanked him……
“Whats wrong with you Annika….This isnt you so stop behaving like this…….”yelled Shivaay.
“And who are you to say all this….?”asked Annika
“Your……your……”Shivaay stammered
“Your what…??”asked Annika
“Your friend…..and you’ll do whatever I said….just sit in the car…..”ordered Shivaay
Annika didnt move….He forcefully made her sit and drove to their favourite place……And all memories were flashing infront of them…..
Shivaay held her hand and took her to a bench and made her sit…..
“Annika I know whatever I did was wrong…..I’d taken you for granted….I wasnt there whenever you needed me…I’m accepting my mistake….I know I let this distance come between us….Its all my fault….And I’m really sorry for that….”said Shivaay caressing her face
“You know how much I need you…You were,are and will always be special to me….I know past few months were hard….Cant we forget all that and restart everything….??Please na forgive me….You know n I’m stupid…..”said Shivaay
“Yaa you’re stupid…..You’ve hurt me so much…I hate you……”said Annika wiping her tears
“Yes I’m duffer….And what you are….?Getting married without informing me..??I’ve to do so many preparation for your wedding….”said Shivaay with a chuckle
“Yaaa wedding……”gasped Annika thinking how much she loves him
“We should go Shivaay….”said Annika
“You havent forgotten everything…?said Shivaay being sad
“No,its not like that…..just got tired ….”said Annika
“Ok,lets go…..”said Shivaay

Annika has decided to keep the wedding simple as she wasnt happy ,it was just for her parent’s happiness…
Annika used to spend most of the time with Rahul for shopping and all….And Shivaay didnt like this….Deep inside he was jealous….He didnt want to share Annika with anyone….She was important for him and he has well known this fact in past few weeks when she wasnt talking to her….He was feeling for her in a different way which was not at all friendship…..
Annika was also too busy in wedding preperation and she was maintaining a distance from him so that her love cant overpower other emotions…..
4-5 days passed like this….Everyone was busy with wedding preperation……Shivaay used to get hardly any time with Annika….He knew that Annika was ignoring him ,may be she hasnt forgiven her yet but there was a storm in his heart an entirely different feeling….He was confused about his feelings towards Annika..
There was a function in their house,a friend get together……Rahul’s friend has also joined them……They played truth and dare….Rahul’s friend asked her to kiss Annika infront if everyone…..This shocked Shivaay more than Annika….Annika wasnt ready for this….
R–Come on Annika ,we’re getting married so it doesnt matter…
A–But Rahul….
No ifs and buts….He forcefully held his hand and took her to the centre……He held his waist and all this was waking the angry young man version of Shivaay…….Rahul pulled her closer and their lips were about to touch but a punch landed on Rahul’s face……
R–What the hell…?
S–Cant you see.,she isnt comfortable…
R–I’m his fiance….Who the hell are you to come in between us….?
A–Yes Shivaay….Who are you and why all this is affecting you….?
S–Annika…..
A–Say Shivaay…..
S–Fine….
Shivaay came closed to her,held her by waist and kissed her making everyone there shocked……Initially Annika was shocked due to his sudden act but the she also reciprocated…..They soon parted due to lack of oxygen……
“I LOVE YOU DAMMIT……I LOVE YOU…..I’m really dumb that I took this much time to understand all this….YOU ARE THE ONE FOR ME…..WILL YOU MARRY ME“said Shivaay caressing her face
*”You’ll leave me again….”said Annika
“Then you’ll bring me back n…”said Shivaay
“It means you’ll really leave me..?“said Annika*

“Are no…..I will never…..promise and I’m not drunk think time….”said Shivaay with a chuckle
“And your dreams,your world tour….?”asked Annika
Shivaay drew an envelope from his pocket and handed it to her…..
“We’ll fulfill my dream together……”said Shivaay
Annika opened the envelope which has two tickets….
“Will you…?”said Shivaay forwarding his hand
“I LOVE YOU SHIVAAY,I LOVE YOU SO MUCH..…”said Annika hugging him
They broke their hug……Annika told Rahul that she cant marry him….She apologized to him and told her parents about Shivaay and they also accepted them..…
And they went to start a new chapter of their life with each other…..And their LOVE begun from LOS ANGELES…..!!!!
“I WILL SPEND AN ETERNITY LOVING YOU,CARING FOR YOU,RESPECTING YOU,SHOWING YOU EVERYDAY THAT I HOLD YOU AS HIGH AS STARS….!”
