Ranjit Rajput,63:Anika’s grandfather,he is believed to be one of the brightest business mind of his time.he loves all his grandchildren equally just never tells them,he is old and already had a bypass surgery but still insists on working so his family allows him to work from home due to his health conditions
Vrinda Rajput:Mother of Agastya and raghav but anika and gauri also call her ‘mai’ even though she is their choti mai.She is strong,loves all her children equally.she is a diabetic
Agastya Rajput,37:Eldest son of rajputs,but his father was younger to anika’s father,successful businessman,good at everything he does,handles every relationship with care love and sensitivity,he may be anika’s first cousin but loves anika like his own sister.since,she was the first one in family to make him feel elder so he is little bit possessive for her
Raghav Rajput,25:Second son of rajputs,agastya’s younger brother,same age as anika,he joined the army as his father did,he became captain but he was relieved from his duty because he disobeyed orders from his seniors,he loves gauri as she is the only one who is younger to him in family and is possessive for her after he was relieved he joined family business with his brother
Maithili Agastya Rajput:Wife of Agastya,She is great wife,perfect mother and daughter in law of rajputs.she is legal advisor for family business.for anika and gauri she is like sister
PAST RELATION OF RAJPUT’S AND OBEROI’S
Ranjit and shivaay’s grandfather were good friends there businesses were different but they were still good friends.Ranjit has two sons elder Nihaal and younger Mohan,nihaal has business traits from his father but mohan didn’t so when mohan was asked to make family proud he joined army.when shivaay’s grandfather handed business to his sons tej became envious of nihaal and ranjit.once when mohan returned from his duty for holiday’s they decide to celebrate oberoi’s were invited as family.since,that day everyone was busy celebrating rajput’s production factory was closed so tej and shakti did tampering with fuel tanks and generators next day when worked was resumed factory blasted.when blast happened nihaal and his wife,anika and gauri’s mother were inside with ranjit when mohan reached factory he managed to get ranjit out but nihaal,his wife and mohan died.when ranjit came to knew that tej and shakti were behind it he decided to confront their father first and when he confronted their father,tej and shakti’s father asked him to not to tell anyone about this as his family’s name would be ruined and he said that he would punish his sons.he took business back from tej and shakti and asked them to build their own business but shivaay’s grandfather died shortly after that so they took over business.ranjit declared it technical error and compensated every worker’s family who died but some of them were really angry so they abducted anika and gauri and left them in anath ashram.rajputs tried to search but in vain ranjit decide to protect his remaining family so he shifted from Delhi to US and never came back anika and gauri had their respective lives as the show
ANIKA AND GAURI AFTER LEAVING OBEROI MANSION
After anika left oberoi mansion she met gauri accidentally,gauri informed her why she left mansion and anika told her story to gauri further gauri told her that someone brought her mother here treated her well and disclosed to gauri that they are her real family so gauri asks anika to meet them and advise her what should she do so anika met them and Ranjit anika’s grandfather doubted anika to be his elder granddaughter so he did DNA test without informing anika and it was confirmed once they knew everything anika tried to convince her grandfather that she is not who they think she is and ended up saying everything that happened with her from orphanage to out of oberoi mansion.Agastya convinced anika that there is no harm in accepting a family that is her own so she took sahil from school and left with her family to US

ANIKA AND GAURI 2 YEARS AFTER
Anika changed for good after she left india since she wanted to divert her mind from shivaay so she did everything she could she completed studies joined business but still she never could get shivaay out of her mind and raghav persuaded gauri to complete her medicine and he himself taught her english so she could complete what she started after completing she did practise for six months in US and now she wanted to practise in india.ranjit decided that he would move his head office to india,mumbai as now he has his entire family there is no reason to be afraid and he wanted to take his last breath in his own country so but anika didn’t wanted to return so everyone started convincing her but agastya couldn’t argue with her so he supported her everyone else tried to convince her to come back

Whenever there was indian business meeting to attend raghav would attend it since he had lived in india before when he was in army and he loved coming back to his country and everyone else would let him they had no other option anika would never return to india,agastya was head in New york,USA maithili couldn’t leave kids and no one would allow ranjit to travel alone
Ranjit is very fond of his culture,they are punjabi and belong to from well reputed family in punjab,so everyone in family appreciate his quality of sticking to his own culture even after living in new york and they try culminate his this quality in themselves so anika,gauri and maithili are known to punjabi food,rituals and etc and so are raghav and agastya
CHAPTER ONE
NEW YORK,USA
Gauri:[anika is putting her clothes in her wardrobe from a suitcase on her bed and gauri is trying to apologize to her]di just once listen to me please….di…please
Anika:[anika stops doing her work and looks at gauri in anger]everything has a limit gauri how many times i have to repeat a same phrase that i don’t wanna go india back so why can’t just you understand and this[she points at her suitcase which gauri packed for anika to convince her to go to india]it’s too much…..[before anika could say further she hear knock on door she notices agastya standing at her room’s door]veerji..you don’t need to knock please….
Agastya:[he enters and signs gauri to leave at first gauri hesitates but she leaves after she leaves he turns towards anika and makes her stop what she was doing earlier and asks her to sit on bed]anika….just leave it….take a deep breathe and calm yourself
Anika:[she was sitting on edge and agastya was sitting on his knees on floor]why isn’t everybody like you veerji..i mean they just don’t understand my reasons…..and you saw what gauri did today…[anika looks down in disappointment in gauri’s behaviour agastya puts hand under her chin and makes her look into his eyes]
Agastya:anika just listen to me once and[he takes his hand back and put it on anika’s hand which was on bed]after that whatever you decide that would be final decision i’ll talk to dada i promise[she listens to agastya attentively]…i know you don’t want to go back mumbai because of shivaay,because you don’t want to face him and become weak and i completely understand but anika that’s about why you don’t want to go to mumbai now think of gauri why she wants to return,because she wants to help people in her own country like raghav did it if she is good neurosurgeon she wants to use her skills to help those who can’t afford one.dada wants to go because he couldn’t raise me and raghav there but he wants anvi,ayush and sahil to be brought up there and also as he says he wants to be there when he takes his last breathe.mai wants to go there because she wants to us not to fall weak in front of oberoi’s she wants us to face our past and put it behind us now do you think it would be easy for her to do that after what happened to bauji and maithili really misses her family she can’t travel every vacation to meet them because she has responsibilities and you know raghav well he just needs an excuse to visit india now think about it is your fear of becoming weak after seeing shivaay is worth sacrificing all these happiness you would get….[agastya looks at her with hopeful eyes that she would say yes]….
Anika:[she wipes tears she had while agastya was talking and informs him]i’m ready to leave[agastya passed her a small smile and got up to leave for her to pack her stuff anika stopped him]veerji[he turned back and anika walked to him and said]veerji you told everyone’s reason to move there but you didn’t told yours[she asked him innocently like a child]
Agastya:[he kept his one hand on her cheek and said]i want to go so that i could take care of you…all of you[as anika listens this she hugs him and he kisses her on head]
