“You have to do it, You have to do it.. This is what had to happen, years back and now when you are so close, you cannot walk back.. You cannot leave.. You cannot give up.. Maa never taught her Laadoo to give up. You have to face it Ragini.. You have to..” Giving her self encouragement, a girl of 24 walked out from the airport and sat in the cab.. She knew she had to face it and she will do, but she knew that things aren’t going to be soo easy as she imagined..

“I know I won’t be believed, I know I might feel the sudden urge to hug my Baba and cry in his arms like I always dreamt.. I know I would want him to pat my back and say I am at your back everytime baby doll.. But no, my Baba isn’t a man of this nature.. If he was, he wouldn’t have done this to me and Maa.. I have come soo far to fulfill this wish of my mother, and I know that I cannot step back now.. I will do it and will stay strong, for now I have to make sure the tears my mother let out from her eyes are paid by you also.. I am coming.. My thoughts came to a stop, when the car came to a halt and I reached my destination.
The “Singhania House” the nameplate read, and I knew its time for another drama to unfold.. Phew..!! I looked at myself and convinced myself that I am looking pretty decent and making myself calm, I walk forward..”

The huge black gates of Singhania House were well guarded by 2 watchman’s or guards and after a lot of interrogation and convincing, the gates were opened.
” Mr. Arnav Singhania (Sanjeev Seth)”, I called out and then the family turns around to see me like an alien at their door step..
“Yes, I am Arnav Singhania (a man of about 60 years clad in off-white colour Kurta Pyjama looking elegant comes forward), please come in.. I am sorry I didn’t recognize you Ms.”
“It is really hard to identify me, because you have never looked at me to recognise me.. Anyways I am Ms. Ragini Singhania.. Sorry Ms. Ragini Devika Malhotra.. I paused to look at the expression of my Bab.. Sorry Mr. Arnav Singhania, and I knew the introduction took away the charm on his face as for never in his life, had the great businessman imagined that the fruit of his past marital relationship (a legal one) would come and stand on his door step so confidently. I knew I hurt him and I felt bad.. But isn’t that what he did to my mother Devika Malhotra (Neelima Taddepalli) years back.. Didn’t he hurt her and give her the pain no woman wants in this world.. My thoughts were broken by a loud sound of a plate falling I guess.. And as I turned towards my right, a see a lady of about 80 years shocked to see me there..
“What did you say, who are you? You are you?” asked the lady clad in a bluish bandini saree the marwadi style with a pllu over her head.
“I am Ragini.. Ragini Devika Malhotra.. Your..”
“My Devika Bahu’s daughter.. My Chikd.. My grand-daughter..”
This came as a shock to the people standing there.. They are supposed to be the family for whom Devika Malhotra along with her daughter Ragini and son Adarsh (Zain Imam) left Arnav Singhania for…
” Rag.. Ragi.. Ragini.. My da.. Daugh.. My daughter.. ” The words hardly came out of Arnav’s mouth and as he held his hand out to pat the back of his long-lost daughter, she stepped back much to his expectation.
A lady of the same age of Maa, came forward and loooked at me.. And accompanying her was a girl of about 24 I guess and then came along an old man.. My eyes knew him to be my Dadaji – Mr. Devendra Singhania (Abhijeet Lahari), the known man of virtue, strictness and knowledge.. As I see them, My DadiMaa – Mrs. Suhasini Devendra Singhania (Vineeta Malik) and Dadaji, I look back at the years where I and Bhaiyu had been craving for their love.. Actually for the love of a family and they were too busy pampering their new found grand-daughter and daughter-in-law as Maa said, I suppose.. Lucky enough Bhabhi had been caught up in her Masi’s home, else Bhaiyu would have accompanied me and things would just go out of control as he would pounce on Mr. Singhania (that’s how we refer him) and kill him for all the taunts our mother heard from the society where we live in.
The trance was broken when Ragini who was wearing a decent blue and white colour dress with a dupatta bent down to take the blessings of Mr and Mrs, Devendra Singhania, it had to be done, because her mother gave her values and moreover she always longed for their love..
