As the bullet got fired…the gunshot echoed in their ears and making all their senses numb….a panic rised in Arjun’s nerves when instead of radhika who was supposed to get shot diya crashed on the ground….
Naksh dropped the gun and was stunned to see diya’s deteriorating condition…
He shot a glance at radhika who stood frozen at one place… She was not even moving a bit….she was stuck at one place as if she was glued to one place…
Arjun hurriedly walked towards diya and lifted her in his arms and took long strides to his car to rush her to hospital…
Naksh crashed on the ground in front of radhika and held her feet….he started wailing and begging for forgiveness but there was no movement in her body….her eyes which talked alot were expressionless today….she was stiffened as if she was some dead body…
He spoke in a choked voice, “radhika I am sorry please forgive me….I know what I did cannot be justified I was blinded by my ego….I couldn’t see your suffering…. For a moment I forgot that even you are a human and you have every right to take decision of your life….
He kept on blabbering but neither she responded to his touch nor she payed heed to his confession…
Arjun who had returned after admitting diya to hospital was mad with anger after glancing at naksh…
He pulled him away from radhika and punched him hard and thrashed naksh…blood was oozing out but arjun had no mercy today….he kept strangling him…..naksh was half dead just when arjun was about to bang his head on the wall,cops entered and stopped him from doing so….they took naksh in their custody…
Arjun spat venomously,” inspector make sure his whole life z spend behind bars….put as many charges as you can….but I want him to cry every second and regret remembering today’s day…
Inspector nodded and spoke, “Mr mehra you don’t worry we will take good care of him.”
Arjun walked to naksh and whispered in his ears….I will make sure you cry every second…. remember two things…. Never mess with arjun and second never eye what z mine…..hope you never forget this two things…
Naksh pleaded, “Please don’t do this my career will be screwed up please let me go.”
Arjun shrieked, “let you go after what you did to diya and radhika…. Today only because of you diya z fighting death….just look at that girl standing at a distance of few feet whom you claim to love…look at her expressionless and lifeless eyes….the girl for whom it was impossible to remain quiet z so quiet that her silence z killing me every second…. Look at her once you will understand how much and till what extent wrong you did today.”
Naksh glanced at radhika who was not even moving a bit….she was traumatized and still in a big shock….
Arjun spoke,”inspector take him away before I rip him with bare hands.”
Naksh kept on ratting radhika’s name till he was out of that place…
Arjun glanced at radhika…..her messed up hair….her expressionless eyes….her bleeding wrist everything was fueling his anger for naksh….
He walked to her and cupped her face….
Arjun whispered, “Radhika please talk something I can’t see you like these.please call me names….irritate me….do something at least.”
But her eyes didn’t even met his gaze…
He atlast gave up and lifted her in his arms and walked to his car….he placed her on the passenger seat and took the driver seat beside her…..he drove off his eyes all while gazing at her trembling form….she had not even utter a word and her silence was torturing him to a extent he didn’t knew..
Finally he stopped his car in front of his house…
Arjun spoke,”We reached home.”
But she didn’t replied him…
He chuckled,”So you want me to carry you in my arms…do you know you have put on weight and my hands pain carrying you….but still your wish z my command. ”
He was intentionally teasing her to force her to speak but all in vain….
He lifted her in his arms and clutched her closer to his heart….
He unlocked the door and marched to his bedroom all while his eyes staring her helplessly…
Arjun placed her on the bed and sat beside her….he carassed her hair but still she was not responding to his affection…. Her eyes worn out….he brought her closer and kept patting her head…
Arjun spoke,”radhika please don’t do this to me….please say something before I lose myself in your silence…. cry atleast so that all your pain…anguish comes out through your tears….
He made her lie down on the bed and got up…
Arjun removed his phone out and called someone…
Arjun,”doc how z diya now?”
Doctor, “I am sorry we couldn’t save her….she struggled alot but gave up.”
Arjun lost his senses hearing that….he glanced at radhika who was in a trauma still….
He dragged his feet to reach her and hugged her tight but she didn’t hug him back….
Arjun kissed her forehead and spoke….diya z no more I am sorry she couldn’t make it….she was a great friend and more than that a great human being who didn’t hesitate to bear the grave danger for her friend. ”
He was expecting her to speak something… cry,wail,curse but he was hopelessly disappointed….
There was no life in her body today….her all senses were numb….no movement except her shallow breathing…. She was not even blinking her eyelids to assure him that she heard what he said….everything had changed in just one day….
Radhika who was a chatterbox was as quiet as a dead body…..time had stopped for her nothing could move her or make her speak today….but they say if God gives wounds he even provide us with medicine….
