CHAPTER 47: Fight back
(Day Daksh kidnapped Ishana)
Tej and Svetlana were discussing something when there was a knock on the cabin door…. They looked at the door and Riddhima entered with a smiling face…. Looking at her face the two understood that she had succeeded in doing the task assigned to her…. Riddhima put the file on the table in front of Tej….
Svetlana: Looks like you did what was supposed to be done.
Riddhima: Yes, I could not afford to fail.
Tej: Good, I always knew you have the potential. Today you proved that you are going to become Tej Singh Oberoi’s daughter-in-law.
Riddhima: Thank you uncle, you gave me the opportunity and trusted me.
Tej: C’mon Riddhima, just now I called you my daughter-in-law and you are calling me uncle.
Riddhima: Sorry Dad.
Tej: That’s better.
Riddhima: I should get going now.
Tej nodded with a smile…. Riddhima smiled at the two and walked out of the cabin…. Svetlana checked the file and smiled seeing Om’s signatures….
Svetlana: I must say she is a good pawn. Half of the plan completed without any problems.
Tej: Yes, and now the other half will also be done.
Svetlana: Of course, I very well know how to get Shivaay’s signatures.
Both of them looked at each other and smirked….

Abir: What is going on in your mind Veer? How can you trust Mrs. Kapoor without any considerations?
Abir spoke finally not understanding what had happened to his friend who had been behaving differently since the previous day…. He also understood that it had something to do with Priyanka…. Her absence yesterday and no mention of her since the morning was making Abir more sure of his assumptions….
Ranveer: What wrong I am doing? And anyways, I am not believing her, I asked her for the proofs because I want to make sure that whatever she is saying is her plan or not.
Abir: What do you mean?
Ranveer: Abir, if whatever she is telling is a lie, her proofs will also be fake, we can easily get them verified but if she is saying the truth….
Abir: Then maybe the Oberois have a lot to explain.
Before Ranveer could say anything more someone entered the room and the two of them looked at the person surprised by his presence…. Why was he here…. The look on his face told that he had come to talk something important….
Ranveer: Mr. Omkara Singh Oberoi, aap yaha?
Omkara: I have to talk to you, it’s about Prinku.
Hearing Priyanka’s name both Abir and Ranveer were surprised and looked at each other…. Ranveer signed Abir to do the work they were doing while he talked to Omkara…. Abir nodded and walked out of the room…. Ranveer signed Om to take a seat while he sat back in his chair…. There were moments of silence before Om started speaking….
Omkara: Prinku told me about the two of you and also about the argument you had yesterday.
Ranveer: Mr. Oberoi….
Omkara: I am here as Prinku’s brother Omkara and not someone from the Oberoi family. So please call me Om.
Ranveer: Okay, look Om, I know you must be angry and upset with whatever I said to Priyanka but I have my own reasons and I hope you’ll understand.
Omkara: That is exactly why I am here, I understand that the circumstances aren’t ideal to reveal anything to the family. Also I am sure that you love my sister and will definitely fight the world for her.
Ranveer was surprised hearing Om’s words…. He recollected the time when Priyanka had told him that her Om Bhaiya is very different from the other family members…. He thinks from his heart…. He is calm, composed and understanding…. Ranveer smiled witnessing how true her words are…. The smile vanished as soon as he remembered their argument the previous day…. Om noticed the way Ranveer’s expressions were changing….
Omkara: Ranveer, I assure you not to worry about Prinku. She is upset right now but will understand soon.
Ranveer: Even I hope so. I cannot see her being sad and hurt.
Omkara: Don’t worry, I’ll talk to her.
Their conversation was interrupted as Abir entered the room…. He was breathing at a fast pace…. Seeing his condition both Ranveer and Om got worried and stood up….
Ranveer: Abir, are you fine? What has happened?
Abir: Ishu….
Hearing Ishana’s name Om became alert…. His heart started beating faster and an unknown fear griped his mind….
Ranveer: Ishana, what has happened to her?
Abir: Someone kidnapped her.
Ranveer and Om both were beyond shocked….

Ishana slowly opened her eyes…. Her head was hurting and she could feel pain in her entire body…. She tried to understand what was happening when her eyes fell on her surroundings…. It was a dimly lit space…. She could see some small windows at a higher height near the ceiling…. Very little light entered through those windows making it very difficult to examine the entire room…. Ishana tried to get up but her body felt weak and even the little moment sent a pain throughout her entire body…. But she had do something…. She could not sit here and wince in pain…. She had to get out from this place…. She looked around to find anything that could help her…. She got up slowly controlling the pain she experienced…. She touched the wall near her and with the support of the wall started walking to find a door….

Abir explained Ranveer how he was doing some paper work when Ishana’s society watchmen and two other men entered the police station…. Abir recognized the watchman she he had meet him several times near the apartments…. The watchman explained how he was going for his regular shift when he saw someone hitting Ishana from behind and taking her away…. Since the watchman knew Abir was a police officer and Ishana’s friend, they came here to inform him the same…. Ranveer and Om listened carefully…. Om was worried….
Ranveer: Did you trace her phone? What is its last location?
Mishti: Sir we are working on it.
A constable comes and gives something to Mishti…. She takes the paper and reads it carefully….
Abir: What is it Mishti?
Mishti: Ishana’s phone’s last location….
Ranveer: Where is it?
Mishti: Near the old factory site of Oberois in Kharghar.
Omkara: What are you saying, factory site of Oberois?
Mishti: That is what it says.
Abir: We have to go and check.
Omkara: I am also coming with you.
Ranveer nods as they did not have much time to discuss…. They all leave from the police station towards the factory site….

Ishana was walking with the support of the wall when she felt a different material…. She looked carefully and found it to be a door…. She checked the door and found it unlocked…. Had someone really kidnapped her…. Then why were her hands and legs not tied…. Neither the door was locked…. She was getting doubtful…. What if all this was done on purpose and the real danger was waiting for her outside…. She could not go outside unprepared…. She sat down and moved her hands around to find something to defend herself…. She moved around carefully when she felt something like a stick lying nearby…. It felt cold and a little heavy and she understood it was a metal rod…. A weapon enough to save her but what if there were multiple dangers…. No…. She had to fight back….
Taking a deep breath she opened the door and saw the corridor outside…. She checked around but found no one…. Was her kidnapper a newbie and did not know the basics of kidnapping…. She pushed aside her thoughts and started walking towards one side of the corridor…. She was in an unknown place and had to be very careful…. As she walked she realized there was no one around…. She looked around more carefully and she could understand that there was no human movement here in years…. There was dust all around…. Cracked windows…. The paint on the walls had lost its shine…. Everything around her screamed of abandonment…. She was sure no human had been present here in the recent time….
She walked with the rod in her hand firmly still ready in her defence…. She reached the end of the corridor and saw another door…. She was not sure what she would face outside but she had to take the chance…. It was either this or nothing…. She opened the door and bright light entered the corridor…. She closed her eyes for a few seconds and opened them again adjusting to the sudden brightness…. She looked outside and saw an open ground…. She walked out slowly and looked around…. The place seemed like an old factory site that had not been used in the recent years…. She took a step ahead when she heard a familiar voice….
“Bhaag kar kaha jaa rahi ho beautiful”
Ishana shivered with his voice but still managed to turn around…. She saw Daksh standing with arms folded across his chest and smirking at her…. Her hold on the rod tightened….
Daksh: What did you think I am a fool that I would let you run away just like that?
Ishana: Daksh, whatever you are doing is not right. Let me go.
Daksh: If I had to let you go, why would I bring you here?
He moved towards her and was about to hold her when she hit his hand with the rod…. Daksh moved back as he winced in pain…. Ishana again hit his hand and it started bleeding…. Daksh was stunned by her move…. Seeing this as the only chance Ishana turned around and started running…. She did not let go of the rod…. It was her only defence…. She did not know where she was going to but seeing Daksh following her she tried to run as fast as she could….

Ranveer along with Abir, Mishti, Omkara and his team reached the factory site…. They looked around the factory site…. There were hardly any signs of human presence….
Mishti: Sir, last location is somewhere near only.
Ranveer: Everyone cover the entire area and do not leave even the smallest corners unchecked. Also, make sure the kidnapper does not get alert; we cannot let anything happen to Ishana.
The men nodded and immediately spread around…. The area was huge and time was something they were not sure of…. Ranveer looked around carefully while he asked Abir and Mishti to check the area ahead…. Om walked along with Ranveer…. Om was walking when someone collided with him from the side…. He was shocked by the sudden collision…. He looked at the person and was shocked to see Ishana…. He held her before she could fall on the ground…. Before he or she could react Ishana slipped into unconsciousness…. Ranveer turned around hearing Om calling him and he was also shocked seeing Ishana in Om’s arms….
Daksh who had been following Ishana stood rooted as he saw Om there…. Never had he thought that Om would come here…. Ranveer who was walking towards Ishana and Om saw Daksh and shouted for his men…. Daksh became alert and looked around to find an escape route…. Om was shocked seeing Daksh there…. Hearing Ranveer’s shouts Abir and Mishti also came there and saw Daksh…. Abir clenched his fist tightly…. Daksh looked around to see police men from all sides…. He had no way to escape…. Still trying his luck he ran towards the other side but two police men caught him…. Abir also came there and punched him hard….
Abir: How dare you hurt Ishu? I won’t spare you.
Mishti held Abir’s hands as he punched Daksh the second time….
Mishti: Abir…. This is not the time. We’ll handle him later, first we need to look after Ishana.
Abir punched him once again and signed the men to take him to the vehicle…. Abir, Mishti and Om took Ishana to the hospital while Ranveer and his men took Daksh to the police station….
