Chapter 19

Anika’s Pov

“No shivay . Please . Please don’t force me for this . I beg you . Please shivay . Don’t do this with me . I just can’t .” I say to shivay while sobbing and tears making their way out of my eyes without giving a break .

“Ani , please . You have to . I also don’t want you do this . But please ? For me . Please .” He too says while crying and cupping my face with both his hands .

“How could you say like that ? You are telling me to kill . For you , no shivay no . Not even for you . It’s a crime . I can’t kill … ”

I get up with all force , sweating and panting . This night mare … again . No . Enough of this . I am fed up of all these . I can never forgive what shivay did to me . Never . Whatever the reason is , I can’t .

I look up at the clock and see it’s 6:43 in the morning . I force my legs out of my comfy bed and go down the stairs to get some water .

Just as I was going to take a sip of water the door bell rang , suddenly .

Who could be at this time ?

I went and looked through the peep hole and whom I saw was … suprising (in a good way) . I immediately , without wasting a second turned the door knob and gave a  big hug to the person while the person reciprocated with the same amount of happiness .

“Ma , pa . So good to see you here . I missed you so much .”I said and hugged Ma again while she kissed my forehead .

I missed her . I missed being in her arms . I missed her touch . The way she used to care for us . The way she used to tell us fairy stories when we couldn’t sleep . The way she used to feed us and sometimes we used to bite her hand . The way she used to scold us when we did something wrong . The way … I missed everything about her .

I went back into my childhood thoughts with Ma , Pa , Choti , Chutki . We were a perfect family with all the happiness but everything got ruined with time .

“”Niku , what happened child ?” she asked me as she noticed a layer of tears in my eyes .

Seriously , a mother understands even what the child does not say .

“Nothing Ma . What will happen to your little princess , huhh ? I’ll call chutki and choti down .” I say her  while giving her a kiss on her left cheek .

“Chutki . Choti . Get up and come down .”I shout at the top of my voice ; standing near the stairs so that they could hear me .

I know , I am so lazy to go to their room and then wake them up . Do you even know how much time it will take ? Look , I have to walk , walk and walk till the stairs and go upstairs . Then , I need to take left and when their room comes I have to open the door ,then go inside and manage to wake them up . How much my energy will be wasted , do you even know ? Huhh .

“Chutki , Choti . Abhi ke abhi neeche aao . Their is a surprise for you all .” I again shout at the top of my voice making my vocal cord pain .

“Di , kya hua . What is your problem ? Itni subah koi kisi ko jagata ha–” I hear chutki say as she comes near the stairs rubbing her eyes and suddenly getting surprised .

“Maa .”she says and runs down two stairs at a time and giving Ma a big tight bone crushing  hug .

“I missed you so much . Finally , someone remembered us . Thank god .”she says dramatically .

“Acha ji . Tumhari Ma ko toh tumhari yaad hi nahi aati na .”Ma says pulling chutki’s ears while I chuckle .

“Yes mom . Shout her more she annoys me alot .” I say and show chutki my tongue .

“Really ? I annoy you or you do that . Ma , tell her not to make me angry otherwise she don’t know the consequences of making Gauri Thakur angry .”she says and flips her hair .

“Is it ? Ma , teach her how to talk to elders . I’m her elder sister .” I say keeping both my hands on my either sides of hips .

“Haww . Ma , look . She is telling me I don’t know how to talk to elders .”she says and hides behind my Ma and giving me a smirk from back .

“Oh . Look at that Ma . Someone is scared and hid–“I say but was cut off by Ma .

“Shut up you two . Still behaving like 2 years old . Grow up girls .”she says and this time pulls both our ears .

“Aah !! Maa ,  leave na . It’s paining .” I say with a pout while chutki nods with me .

“Acha . Acha . Where is choti ? Still sleeping ?”Ma says finally leaving our ears . Huhh , thanks .

“Boooooo” suddenly , Choti comes and shouts in Ma’s ear making her frighten a little .

“This girl . You made me scared .” Ma says and lightly slaps on choti’s cheek .

Chutki giggles and hugs Ma tight while Ma kisses on tip of her head .

“Huhh . What about us ?”says chutki , frowning  .

“What are you waiting for then ?” Ma says and pulls all of us in a hug .

We keep the dinner plates and bowls on the dining table . Today’s dinner is going to be best . So many dishes ; mutter paneer , puri , raita , lasagna , pav bhaji , rice , mango milkshake , salad and many more . I just can’t wait for dinner . Yumm !!

“Uhm .. Niku , tommorrow some guests will be coming at dinner . Be ready nicely . Your impression should be nice on them .”says Pa in the middle of the dinner .

“Why should I be specifically ready ? I am sure there’s nothing special .” I say already aware of the fact that dad was talking about the call ; my marriage with some unknown only for his business .

“You have to . I guess you already know what I am talking about ? And if you don’t know then listen , tommorrow at dinner my client and his son is coming for your marriage . And as I already said you before , you have to marry . You don’t have any choice and about your studies you can continue even after marrying .”he says making me angry by his each words .

“Tej , please . Don’t force her for this . You ca–” Ma was saying in support of me but I cut off her .

“Ma , you don’t need to say him anything . And Pa , why don’t you get it ? I don’t want to marry and especially when I don’t know him . I want to complete my studies ; become something in my life , achieve my goals . I just don’t want to .”I say almost in a pleading tone .

“How many times should I say this ? This is final . You are going to marry , don’t be so useless . At least it will help my business . Be ready tommorrow for dinner .”he says and gets up goes from there leaving his food unfinished .

I hate this . I hate this so much .
