Chapter 17 :-
Anika’s Pov :-
I wear a blue knee length dress which has diamonds scattered and has net above my chest area till my neck . I put on some maroon lipstick followed by least of eyeliner and concealer . I curl my hair at the bottom and then leave it open . I put on blue heel which looked perfect with my dress .
“I am ready .” I shout .
Oh my god . Am so exited . Well , honestly more than the party I was exited to wear this dress . It just looks khidkitod . I just can’t wait for this stupid Festival . Uhm..not much stupid .
I run downstairs to the living room and see Choti there going through her phone . Actually typing something .
I go from behind and snatch her mobile fastly . Yeah , she was texting somebody .
I try to read the messages while choti tries her best to take her mobile .
“Di , no . Give me my phone back . Huhh .” She says making a cute Crybaby face . Not gonna work babes .
“Shut up . Your Crybaby face is not gonna work today .” I say her and show my tongue .
“Di , give me my phone back . You are my best sister , right ? You are so good . You always help others . You make me good food . And look you look so pretty today . What today ? You look pretty everyday . You …” She says trying to flatter me and take her phone back .
“Okay . I’ll give your phone back .” I say making her jump in happiness “but after reading the messages .” I continue and jump on the sofa keeping the mobile up .
Evil laugh . Buahhhbuahhhh …
“Okay . Read , do whatever you want to . As if those messages are very personal .” She says , frustrated .
Be ready . There’s a surprise for u .

I read the messages which were from rudr . I still can't remember where I've heard this name . Anyways , I'll think about it later .
I throw her mobile back to her and she fortunately catches it .
"Happy?" She says looking a bit angry .
"Happy" I murmur .
"Ahh…by the way , you look so pretty , today . All the very best for your date ." I say trying to change the topic but she actually looks pretty .
Choti was wearing a simple black dress which ended till her mid-thigh with black short boots . Just like me , she had done a minimum make-up with her hair's curled a bit .
"Thank you so much di . You know I am so exited but nervous also . I don't know how should I react . I mean what could the surprise be ? Any idea ?"she says suddenly happiness beaming in her eyes and forgetting about the phone incident .
"Uhm..It could be a restaurant , park . You never know . Whatever it is just enjoy yourself ."I say and give her a thumps up .
"Yeah di ."she says and hugs me tight .
"Sismance , without me ."chutki's says , her mouth hanging while her hands on her hips .
"So , what are you waiting for ? Invitation . If you are , then forget it ."says choti calling her for the hug .
She too jumps in and we have a bone squeezing Sismance hug .
"Oh my god . It's so hot . I can't take it more . Somebody increase the AC ." chutki's says coming out of the hug .
"Chutki , stop your drama . AC is already full . Infact , am feeling cold ." I say aware of her drama .
"How could you say that ? I mean , two hot ladies are standing here , in front of me and you're not feeling hot ."says chutki being a full drama queen , which she already is .
"As if you look like a monkey . Not two but three . I won't exclude myself like you . After all , self-appreciation is the best ."choti says teasing chutki . These girls .
"Okay . Stop it . Chutki you just look gorgeous . Afterall , it's my choice ."I say pointing to her dress .
Chutki wore a skin colour off-shoulder gown with long green ear-rings which reached till her shoulder .
"Yeah . Thankyou so much di . I don't know how to thank you ."she says , sarcastically .
The door bell rings making us come out of our girly girl talks .
"I'll check ."says choti , happily .
She goes and opens the door knob and there was standing rudr , shivay's brother . What is he doing here ?
O Bete ki ! I get it . Choti was talking about none other than rudr singh Oberoi . I hate my memory . Choti said that name so many times , I couldn't connect the dots .
That is so idiotic .
"Di , what are you saying ?"says choti , embarrassed .
"What ?" What did I say , now ?
"Di , why are you saying 'this is so idiotic' . Rudr just brought a flower bouquet and I don't think any thing is idiotic in that ."says choti , totally embarrassed .
Fish ! I said that aloud .
"I..I didn't said that to you . It was just …. Uhm.. that cockroach that was crossing our way . So , just … that's so idiotic . I said . Nothing…nothing much ." I say stammering . I suck at lying . What a stupid escuse . Like seriously , cockroach crossing our way . Who will believe ?
"Anyways , di this is rudr . Rudr this both are my sister . This is anika di and this is gauri di ."Choti introduces us .
"Di , I guess I've seen you before . Uhm… I think you once came a pin our home ."says rudr thinking .
Yeah . You've seen me . After all , am your brother's ex .
"I don't think so . Maybe you're just imagining ." I say trying to cover up .
"Yeah . Maybe . I think we should go now ."says rudr .
"Bye di's ."says choti and goes with rudr ; hand in hand .
Just as rudr goes , two people again come . That is , none other than our dates for the party . Daksh and Om .
"You look beautiful , babe ."says daksh and hugs me while I reciprocate it .
"Hey anika . How are you ?"says om .
"Hi om . Am good ." I say .
"You look …nice ." Om says to gauri , hesitating .
"Just nice ."I tease .
"I mean beautiful . You look beautiful ." He says .
"Thank you . You too look handsome ."says gauri , blushing .
"I think we should leave now ."daksh says .
"Yeah ." We agree and move towards our car for the festival .
