“Hello Suman !! Why u called me up ? Oh, I understand, my wife is unable to wait for some hours to hear my voice, isn’t it darling? ”
“Stop talking rubbish Aditya !! I don’t have any interest in hearing ur voice. I called u up for some reason…..important reason.”
“Excuses, yeah ?”
“You know that I’m very bad at giving excuses and u r no one to whom I’ll give excuses to hide something. Anyways, come to the point. I want to meet you now, at the very moment.”
“OMG. Suman !! You just can’t wait to see me, I’m surprised. U r missing me so much..….I miss u too honey.”
“You can think that if u want. But I want to meet u now, that’s it.”
“Ok…. in some cafeteria? So…”
“No…somewhere else, where we can talk privately.”
“Okay, then come over to my house !!
“But ur parents and relatives would be there”
“You just come na. I’ll see.”
“Okay.”

Aditya led Sumo enter his house through the back door to prevent being in front of anyone’s sight. He led him to the terrace to enable them talk privately.

“So is ur thirst to see me quenched?”, chuckled Aditya.

Suman was silent, she was still deficient of enough confidence to talk with Aditya. Without replying to his question, she jumped to her say.

“Aditya I want to call off this marriage”, she said shutting her eyes to prevent his gaze.

Aditya was astounded.
Did he hear right ?

“What, what r u saying Suman ?, he maffled.
“Whatever u r hearing. Yes I want to call off this marriage. And there’s much time to cancel it, I’m telling u before hand. Today is just the engagement. So…”
“HAVE U FORGOTTEN YOUR PROMISE SUMAN ??”,he shouted loudly making her step back.
“Nothing did I forgot yet. But I do want to forget them now.”, she whispered.
“Aditya marriage is a very big decision. You know very well that we r not lovers, we even don’t like each other, how can we spend our whole life together then ? I know, that day I accepted this proposal thinking about Nanu…and of course thinking about myself, my self-respect which u threatened to destroy by telling those non-sense.”
“Nonsense? Oh really ? You know very well how beautifully I can portray this nonsense as a truth.”
“You can’t blackmail me any more. I’ve gained enough courage to confess all the truth of that day to my family. I know they’ll believe me.”
“Your truth and mine is totally different. I can very easily defeat ur truth by mine. No one will believe u Suman. Ur life will be ruined. I just pitied u thinking about ur ruined life and gave this proposal of marriage. And now…”
“I don’t need ur pity. I’ve very well understood that if u treat me like this now how badly u’ll treat me after marriage. I can’t spend my whole life with a man like u”
“So it’s ur final decision ?”
“Yes”
“Okay no problem darling. I’ll go by ur choice. So this marriage has been called off !!”

He started walking towards Sumo and she tiptoed backwards. Both of them stopped as Sumo got at the edge of the terrace and Aditya leaned on her smiling hostilely.

“Now as I really don’t care about u and ur life, then I’m going bring out the truth in front of the whole world. The truth about our that blissful day !!”
“Be with ur truth Aditya !! No one will believe in ur so called truth…because I’ll reveal the real truth in front of everyone.”

He laughed and leaned more towards her face.

“Ah…let’s see who wins.”
“You’ll do no such thing Aditya.”
“I will and anyways, u r no one to stop me.”
