Yeh dev ko kya ho gaya hai?…(what happened to dev?) talking strange things….thinking so I headed to aunty’s room to check her…
She seemed so happy today…
Sona:may I come ?
Ishwari:oh!ya..sure I was thinking about you only..(excitedly)
Sona:me!..kyun?(why)
Ishwari:first sit…kal na Nikki ka birthday hai..(tomorrow its nikki’s birthday) I want to make it special….but mujhe kuch idea hi nahi aa raha…ghar pe badi si party karuon kya?(but I am not getting any idea…shall i throw a birthday bash at home?)
Sona:hmm…i think we should ask Nikki about this
Ishwari:noo…mujhe usse surprise dena hai(noo…i want to give her a suprise)
Sona:ya..no problem…we will ask her indirectly
Ishwari:yeh kam tu kar lena(you do this work)
Sona:main…acha thik hai(me..ok )
Saying so I headed to nikki’s room …
Sona:hiii..nikki…whats up?
Nikki:hey sona di…aapko pata hai kya baki sab log mere birthday ke liye kya planning kar rahe hai?(do you know what others are planning for my birthday?)
Sona:kya kal tumhara birthday hai?…(what tomorrow is your birthday?…) advance happy birthday
Nikki:thank you!..toh aapko bhi nahi pata(so you also don’t know)
Sona:ya..how do you want to celebrate your birthday?
Nikki:waise toh jo bhi mummy aur bhai plan karenge mujhe pasand aayega…but pata iss bar na mujhe apna birthday alag tarah se celebrate karna(I will like whatever mummy and bhai will arrange for me..but this time I want to celebrate my birthday in a different way)
Sona:different?
Nikki:everytime I celebrate by throwing a birthday bash with my friends and all but this time I want to celebrate with my family…you know some where far away…
Sona:hmm….
Next day:Nikki’s birthday
I told everything to aunty…all that nikki wants and then we including dev , came to a conclusion…we planned to celebrate nikki’s birthday in Dixit’s farmhouse…just family and very close friends of Nikki.
And guess what aunty even invited jatin and elena…so excited…Dixit’s farmhouse is in the countryside ..it took us around 1.5hours to reach there….
Dixit mansion is spread across 2.5acres..it included a tennis court,swimming pool,home theatre and a spa…(they reached around 7am)…so we started with the spa…and then we watched nikki’s favourite movie…
Then it was time for tennis..me and jatin were one team and dev and Nikki were in one team…while Ishwari aunty and Ria watched the game

They started playing and dev was winning.

I am so happy that Nikki is enjoying her special day but the only problem is this jatin…why did ma invite him…and the worst part is sona and jatin are in one team…
I was winning of course and then sonakshi’s leg twisted and she was about to fall..i rushed to her aid but before that jatin helped her…he caught hold of her by her waist ..thank god she was okay ….
Nikki:di aapko lagi toh nahi(di …hope you are not hurt)
And thats when Sonakshi stood up..she got a slight sprain in her leg…but she was fine…
Dev:you go and sit.
Jatin:no..we will continue the match..right sona
Dev:but she is not in the position to play
I said in irritation
Jatin:she is…right sona?
Sona:ya I am fine..lets continue..
Ugghh!…waste argumenting..i murmured and took my position
We continued playing and the end result …nikki and i won…sona’s ankle pain increased and she headed to her room….
I saw her going and followed her…
She was sitting on the bed in pain
Dev:aur khelo …(go play)
I taunted her…to which she made a puppy face…
I smiled
Dev:show me..
I did whatever was required..finally she was better…i headed to go but then she caught hold of my wrist and stopped me…
Sona:is something bothering you?
Dev:what do you mean?
Sona:you seem to be disturbed these days…
Dev:umm..
Before I could reply..that stupid jatin came before me
Jatin:sona tu thik hai na..(sona you alright)
Sona:I am fine!…(smiles)
Jatin:mujhe pata hi tha(I knew it)
Dev:usko ankle sprain ho gaya hai(she has got ankle sprain)
Jatin:oh!..no problem hota hai(oh!..no problem it happens)
Dev:(angrily)agar tumne jabardasti nahi ki rehti na toh uska sprain itna nahi badta…(if you have not forced her then her sprain would have not increased this much)
Sona:what are you saying?
Dev:i don’t think there is anything wrong in that
Jatin:(angrily)what do you mean…sona ki yeh halat mere vajah se hai?…tumhe kya lagta hai main Sonakshi ki care nahi karta?…tumhara aur Sonakshi ka rishta toh bas boss aur employee ka hai na par Sonakshi aur main dost hai wo bhi bachpan ke dost…got it!(what do you mean..sona’s condition of because of me?..what do you think?….i don’t care for sona?..u and sona are just boss and employee but I am sona’s childhood friend…i care for her more than you..got it!)
Saying so he went out…while Sonakshi stared at me
Sona:what was all this haan?…
I did not reply and she continued
Sona:jatin mera best friend hai..you don’t have any right to talk to him like that…and you think I have got this sprain because of him..you are wrong..my ankle got twisted and so I got the sprain..what was his fault and who are you to worry about me?..
My anger was on the peak…i shouted
Dev:I cant believe..you are taking his side..i am right and you very well know that..aur main gussa kyun na huon …jab dekho tere piche ghumta rehta hai …haan do you even no how I feel when I see him around you…(and why shouldn’t I be angry?..he keeps roaming around you everytime…do you even now how I feel when I see him around you)
She in a very feeble voice said a word
Sona:kyun(why?)
Dev:because I LOVE YOU !
I shouted at the top of my voice leaving her in a complete shock..soon I realised what I spoke and seeing sona’s shocked face..i felt cold vibe run through my spinal cord…i rushed out of the room and locked myself in my room
Oh no!..what did I do this?…yeh kay keh diya?(why did i speak this?)what will she be thinking about me…what if she leaves me…nahi!..(no!)shall I go and talk to her…no I cant face her..no…
I was in such a panic state..to calm myself down I drank a glass of water but that did not work much.

Time passed by…it around 11:45 pm now…dev is sitting on the bed …lost in his own world…suddenly someone knocks at his door(they will leave for Delhi tomorrow morning )

Who could it be..that too at this hour?..wait could it be Sonakshi..if so how will face her…before I could conclude a envelope was slipped inside my room …through the gap …i picked it up..it was a plain white envelope with no name..i slowly opened it and found a small link coloured paper inside…
It read:
Bina kuch soche bas terrace pe aajoa…and if you don’t come then you are going to regret for your whole life..so decide for urself…come or regret!
waiting for you!!!
At once I understood it could be none other Sonakshi..but why is she telling me to come on terrace …i instantly decided not to go but giving it a second thought I decided to go…
I climbed the stairs up with fear,anxiety and curiosity clutching me at the same time…
There was a pin drop silence..i could hear my heartbeat faster and faster…
Terrace
Slowly I opened the door of the terrace…it creaked and then what I saw was the greatest suprise of my life..
The terrace was all decorated…all possible lights were on..there were rose petals arranged in heart shape on the floor..it looked so lovely…but there was no one..no one in the sense not even Sonakshi…and then
Sona from behind suddenly whispered in my ears”I love you too”…hearing so instantaneously a smile formed on my face…
I turned and saw her smiling face…
(bg music: kyunki tum hi ho..kyunki tum ho..meri aashiqui tum hi ho….)
We hugged each other….and for sometime just felt each others touch without speaking a word…
Dev: you almost peeled my skin off…what a kind of letter was that..”you will regret for your whole life”
Sona:(laughs)i did that too make sure you come …
Dev:acha and if i had not come then?
Sona:well i was 100% sure that you will come so i did not think about that…
Dev:(smiles)thank you!
Sona:for?
Dev:for coming in my life.
Sona:(smiles)my pleasure
(laughs)
Sona:i have a suprise for you
