it is night and the shadow of a pregnant lady is seen… she is rubbing her big bump saying “Junior Mendak, come out soon, we are waiting for u”
Now we see a gentlemanly figure approaching the pregnant lady and asking “what are u telling to my baby, Ms Rishikesh?”
Naira; dont just disturb our conversation like that… give me time to talk to my baby…
Karthik; poor papa would also like to talk as well… how about a kiss?
karthik kisses her tummy as well as her cheek…
karthik; cant wait 1 more month for u, niharika, come to papa soon,okay?
naira; do u really think its a girl n u found a name too? what will u call if its a boy?

A hospital is seen… Naira is in pain n is rushed to the labor room in a wheelchair… Karthik is holding nairas hand…. Naira is crying with pain…. Karthik is sad and kisses nairas hand before she goes into labour room… Naira cries violently n feel the pain go off…. She looks for the baby but the doctor says I’m sorry but the baby is dead….

With a loud cry naira wakes up…. She touches her tummy n feel the bump still there, recognising that it was just a dream… A scared karthik is seen waking up beside naira on bed
Karthik: what happened? , u really scared me!!
Naira: I’m sorry karthik, I had a very bad dream…
Karthik: ooh thank god, its just a dream but u might have also scared the baby u know…
Naira:yup she kicked me, maybe coz she was scared…. I dreamt of having an abortion N I was shocked, it felt so real…

One more month passes…. Naira and karthik are walking down the street

Naira: karthik, I feel like eating an icecream…
Karthik: no, no icecream for pregnant girls….
Naira: who needs ur agreement for that (walks towards an icecream parlour)
Karthik is now forced to follow her n he follows her smiling
Karthik and naira are eating icecream… Karthik is so into eating icecream that he barely notices naira…. Naira notices this without him returning gaze n she smiles naughtily

Karthik: naira, what’s wrong? Any problem?
Naira: ouch!!
Karthik:(runs to naira) naira, r u having pain???
Naira:(chuckles) he he he… U r handsome when u r worried, mendak…. N I love seeing u worrying about me….
Karthik:(angry but suppressing anger)naira, this isn’t funny…. Quit it… I was really worried for a moment there…. Coz ur duedate isn’t even close….
Naira: (laughs but puts her hands again back on the bump) ouch! Oh! Ouch…. Karthik she’s coming out…. It hurts….
Karthik: look naira, do u think ill believe u again… Quit it, I’m done with ur silly pranks….
Naira: Karthik it hurts so much…. I’m telling the truth now, get me to the hospital fast….
Karthik:naira ok ok, I believe u, sheesh….
Naira:I’m sorry about what I did bfr but nw I’m seriously in pain, believe me(pained face… She is about to fall down from chair )
Karthik who seemed to have believed her now holds her hand…. Gets her moving on her leg…. Catches an auto n goes for the hospital…. They reach hospital…. Naira is crying hard… The hospital employees bring a stretcher n naira is rushed into the labour room… Karthik is crying n informs akshara and naitik the news.
Its been about an hour or so since naira has been rushed in…. Akshara n naitik arrive n karthik runs to naitik n hugs him…. The doctor arrives n following him a nurse is there with a baby in hand
Dr: congrats its a girl…
Karthik: oh kanha…. I’m the happiest pap in the whole wld….
Akshara:(holds the baby in her arms)Im a grandmother now…. Time travels quickly right? (Cries n wipes tears)
Naitik: ow isn’t this my cute little princess
Naira:(on the labour room bed still in observation) when can I go to the room?
Dr: let me do the stitches… U can go after maybe 2 hrs…. Till that we will keep u in observation….
Naira: please let me go after 1 hr if that’s okay…
Someone is knocking on the room door
… The nurse moves the curtain of the door to see who it is…. Its the security…. Nurse enquires…
Security: a guy is askng for naira and when she can go to the room….
Naira:(security can only hear her) is it karthik? Ask him whether the baby needs me?
Nurse: if she needs u we shall first teach u how to feed her..
Security, tell him we shall get her to the room within one hour….
Scene shifts to the room. Akshara is carrying the baby n cuddling her…. She smiles seeing the baby’s face as if she remembers something
Akshara: she really reminds me of her mother…. She looks like naira when she was born….
Karthik: she is as beautiful as her mother too…
naitik: next chance is for naksh and keerthi….
a door knock is heard, karthik attends the door…. Naira is moved inside by a nurse, in a wheelchair… Naira is moved to a chair…. Akshara and naitik exits the room telling they’ll get lunch for karthik n naira.
Nurse places baby on nairas lap n she helps naira feed the baby. Nurse is about to leave.
Nurse: don’t forget to call us for any emergency.
Karthik:ok
Naira is seen feeding the baby.. She kisses her….
Karthik looks at naira…
Karthik: So Ms Rishikesh, let’s begin this new phase of life together… (Leans in and locks lip with naira)
Naira: (forcefully breaks kiss after sometime) let her feed….
Karthik: she will feed meanwhile her parents romance(kisses nairas forehead n d baby’s cheek)
Baby cries… Naira tries best to stop the cry but she doesn’t stop…. Naira also starts crying….
Naira: she doesn’t stop crying nomatter whatever I’m doing… Call the nurse karthik
Karthik: yes
Baby is crying violently and naira too cries along with her…. Meanwhile karthik calls a nurse and the nurse checks the baby…. She undoes the baby’s cloth diapers….
Nurse: she cried coz her diaper was wet…. See as new parents you must know that a baby cries mainly for 4 reasons-hunger/thirst, gastric trouble, sleep and a wet diaper…. If it is seen that either one of these is the cause, kindly consult a dr…
Naira: thank u sister…. (Gets the baby from the nurses hand)
Karthik closes the door after nurse goes.. Then there is another knock and a smiling akshara and naitik enters with a bag of food for naira and karthik…
Akshara: naira I’ll look after the baby meanwhile u both have food
Karthik: maa jiji and paa ji, let’s mention her as nihi in short as I wish to name her niharika… It is good na? What do u think? Any suggestions?
Naira:I really love that name. Mendak, u r not bad in selection of names…
Karthik: hmm ?but I went wrong in choosing the right partner, I guess
Naira: u!! (Looks at karthik coldly but smiles at a laughing akshara and naitik)
Akshara: if its fine for both of u den will we have any different opinion..?
Naitik: so we have a new member named Niharika… Its as sweet as my cutie is….
The baby now smiles and akshara kisses her and ties a new diaper….
Scene shifts to an airport
Naksh is seen waiting for someone…. A new flight arrives…. Naksh looks at his watch…. He moves towards the exit…. A crowd of people comes out from the airport and a smiling keerthi comes moving a big suitcase…. Keerthi comes and hugs naksh…. Naksh kisses her….
Keerthi: I missed u so much…. Its been so long
Naksh: same here…. Just quit everything there and come here… Let ur pap recruit somebodyelse…. U work in our company from now on if u really want a work…
Keerthi: I’m not going back, I’ve talked that with pappa….

Nurse: naira has an injection….

Keerthi and naksh enters…. Keerthi has a torn dress…
akshara; baccho what happened to u? ur dress is all torn,did something happen?
keerthi;………maa….
naksh;(stops keerthi)maa, a group of goons used abusive words on keerthi while she was inside the airport…she was angry and stabbed back too…. they followed our car and tried to confront us and beat up keerthi…. i and the driver had beaten them up and we called the police….police came and arrested them…
akshara; oh dear keerthi, foolish men would say foolish things….we, who are wise should not react….coz we dont know what they do next out of their utter foolishness….
naira; i support keerthi di…women shouldnt go on avoiding men who use abusive words on them….its an insult, its hard to avoid that…
karthik; yes thats right
naitik;thank god nothingelse happened…
akshara; keerthi, ur dress is ruined,go inside and change…
keerthi smiles seeing the baby in the cradle and goes saying “aunty will be back juz now for u baby” meanwhile naksh takes her…
karthik is now near naira near her bed….he calls naira in a soft voice without noone else hearing but she is so damn caught up with the conversation between naksh,naitik,akshara and keerthi…. karthik now fedup calling pinches nairas ears.

karthik; poor papa didnt get his regular medicine today… mommy is not looking after pappa now….give one small medicine now, quick!!!

nurse; its time for babys first vaccine….bring her to the labour room… we will provide u a circular of vaccines and tests and their rates….you just see and inform us which vaccines and tests u prefer to do for baby….
karthik; ok, we dont have any specifications,take evry vaccine and test….
nurse;ok…bring her to the labour room…
akshara and naitik exits with the baby…keerthi and naksh follow them to go home waving kaira bye….
naira waves at them and karthik kindly pets her hair….naira looks at karthik and they have an eyelock….
karthik; i wasnt able to do this for a long time because of ur bump(hugs her tightly and forcefully)
naira squeezes his arms and hugs him back….
naira: i love u so much,papa
karthik:love u more than that mumma….
its been 4 days in hospital and naira and baby is about to be discharged….karthik returns after paying bills in the reception….naitik carries nairas belongings, akshara carries baby and enter a car….
They reach the house
naira; nihi, this is our house….u will be here from now on….
karthik; she will make our “home sweet home”
naitik and akshara together;yes she will…
akshara lays the baby on bed.naira sits beside the bed ,,,,naira watches the baby who turns whole body to one side….
naira;momma,see my baby turning on to the side,,,will she be able to roll over soon if she is able to turn whole baby sideways now?
akshara;nope she must be 3-4 months of age for that….u r really curious of nihi growing up na?i know, everybody is like that, even i was…. i used to watch u like this,…i wanted to adorn u,tried hard to make u look cuter…i was so excited to tie your hair waiting for it to grow longer….(tears swell up in eyes but naira wipes it and kisses her)

Several months had passed by and the day is march 1,2017…the singhania house is decorated with beautiful bouquets…naira,karthik,akshara,naitik,keerthy,naksh,gayu,vivan,nihi and everyone is shown dressed at their best….A sticker is shown now which reads “Happy Birthday Nihi”…yes,its been one year n nihi has grown up to be more like a miniature karthik.nihi,now a girl with cute natural curly hair,is dressed in a light blue elegant tuttu Frock with cute silver bead works … Karthik is holding her….
There are a lot of people for the party.Naira and karthik with baby walks to the centre of the crowd where the cake is kept.Karthik drops the baby on the table,n she stands all by herself.The cake is in the form of a disney princess and the baby is really attracted to it.She has her hands on the most attractive part,the hair,n bfr she ruins the cake,karthik grabs her hand freeing the hair saying “Its urs,but its a cake not a barbie,cut it n eat it” everybdy sings “Happy birthday’Holds the plastic knife with babys hands n cuts the cake.Gives one piece to the baby n naira…akshara,naitik n all relatives gets a piece….
Everybody is welcomed by chitty for the feast.The large table has variety of dishes n is decorated with candles.
Food is served n people start eating.there is a stage n naira,karthik,keerthi,naksh n nihi r waiting backstage.They have planned to play an act n r holding their dialogue sheets.
Curtains are removed n a smiling naksh comes
Naksh: We,karthik,keerthi,naira,me n d star of the show nihi present to u an act with a disclaimer similarities U find in the characters,contents of the drama r not coincidental or accidental but r intentional n is to make u laugh.
Naira comes now n naksh leaves. Shes smiling n looks to her side n looks like she has her eyes hooked on something but there really isnt anything there n she gradually extends her hands into the air n folds it like clasping anothers hand saying “Where were u, ive been waiting!” She begins.naksh n keerthi comes behind her n looks at her
Keerthi: Whats mom doing?
Naksh:Mom,whats wrong with u?
Naira:(Turns)Hoi,naksh,heres naithik…(Turns back) Oh where r u..?Naitik was just here and now hes not.
Naksh:Hey mom,r u mad,dont look here,look there in the audience,hes there….
Naitik looks baffled but smiles n the audience laughs.
Now little nihi comes in walking and naksh walks to her
Naksh:Hey there pretty lady,you really are a smart one n im really charmed by u,i really love u,will u be my gf?
Nihi:(Extends her arms)Pa pa pa pa….
Naksh:Well,do u want me to carry u?Then i guess ill take it as a yes..
Everybody in the audience laughs n naira eyes karthik…Karthik scratches his head smiling.

The programme is over,its midnight,seeing nihi missing,everybody calls nihi….but nihi is nowhere to be seen.
