Yo Yo Honey Singh is coming with a brand new singing talent hunt show on Star Plus titled India’s Raw Star. The promos have started coming in the channel and started getting good reviews before it started. The date for the show is yet to come. India’s Raw Star is a platform to find the ultimate performing artist who, with an unconventional and original style, can bring in a visual experience to music. Someone who can go beyond only singing and create a distinct style of music, irrespective of his/her singing language or music genre. Yo Yo Honey Singh, India’s youth icon will be a mentor-judge-friend to the budding Raw Stars, and will himself conduct India’s first ever digital only auditions. The show will be launching the new singing sensation. The auditions got closed now and you can see some good videos on the show’s site. Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is said to have gone out of his way to appreciate the talent he has spotted while auditioning contestants by gifting them gold lockets to welcome the shortlisted candidates for the show. Honey Singh visited various cities like Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Jaipur to welcome 10 shortlisted contestants.
Gauhar Khan is excited about hosting the grand show. After appearing at IIFA, Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, Gauahar will next be seen on Star Plus. Yo Yo Honey Singh personally chose her as the anchor after he was told that she was the most searched celebrity online. Honey Singh will appear as judgecum- mentor on the show that will select rare voices from modest backgrounds.
