Lock Upp fame Sara Khan roped in to essay a pivotal role in Spy Bahu

Sara Khan who was last seen in Lock Upp has stayed away from the small screen in search of a good role. The actress is back to the fiction genre with the show Spy Bahu.

Sara talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “My character has a lot of shades and her entry will result in major twists in the storyline, as she will wreak havoc in the lead couple Yohan (Sehban Azim) and Sejal’s (Sana Sayyad) lives.”

When asked if she misses playing the bahu on TV and she replied, “You play a bahu in a couple of shows but after that, the makers rope you in their shows to introduce major changes. Also, your image undergoes a change with time. Also, when you break away from the image of a TV bahu, you get an opportunity to play with your character graph a lot more and enjoy liberty in terms of looks and performance.”

Talking about joining the show midway, Sara shared, “Everything on television, including your track in a show, depends on the audience’s feedback. That’s why some shows run for long while others wrap up in no time. So, you take a chance always. Joining a show midway requires more hard work. However, I strive to play the character so convincingly that people relate to it. I have become confident with time aur phir mehnat karne ke liye motivation bhi milta hai.”

She added, “I definitely miss the thrill of being a part of a show since its inception and working hard towards forging a connection with the audience. It’s not just about me wanting to do it par aisa show milna bhi toh chahiye uss time par. No TV artiste can ever become indispensable. Jab tak aapka show chal raha hota hai aap superstar hote ho aur jaise hi khatam hota hai aap wapas newcomer bann jaate ho.”

When she is not acting in daily soaps, the actress keeps herself busy writing and shooting for other mediums. She said, “I am not always offered with the most amazing characters. So, I have to wait for the right opportunity to come my way. During the break, I set up my own production house and I write. I also shot for a couple of singles and web series. I can’t afford to sit at home and wait for a great offer from TV to come my way. I won’t be able to run my kitchen then. So, I hone my other talents and focus on other aspects of my craft. I also make sure to maintain myself.”
