Life Of A Feeling

A small house , situated in a corner of the town.., A boy who seems to be in his early twenties sits beside his bed and looks at his phone..
His phone rings..

” Hello.. I was waiting for your call ”

A voice of a girl comes..
” Ahh! Really!! That’s so sweet of you”

“So , how are you?” …

The conversation runs smoothly.. He smiles at times while talking in phone.
A middle aged woman comes in the room.
” Son..”

The boy ends the call.

” Who was that? Is that..?”

” Yes Mom. That’s her. I told you. ”

His mom thinks..

” I’m saying nothing for this because you are doing your studies well and you have not disturbed it because of this affair …”
She looks into his room.. Suddenly, a trophy catches her eyes..

On that trophy something is written from golden letters.

” Mark James – Badge Top – 2016 ”

” You are very clever to be the badge top. I hope you will complete your final exams successfully. Most important thing is that. Not being the badge top once”

” Son,you should study now. Your exams are next week. You should stop talking with that girl everytime. It’s enough to talk with her once.”

” Yes Mom I know. I will pass my last exams with flying colors. I promise you ”

Mother smiles ..
The scene ends..

After two days, only 3 days left for exams..

“Let’s stop this affair .”

The boy gets a message.. He gets shocked. He gets a call immediately .

” Please answer..”

The other ends doesn’t answer the phone . Another message comes…

“Don’t call me anymore. I have nothing to talk to you ! Our affair is finished from now on . If you call me again , I will tell my dad and you will have to be sorry ”

The boy looks at the phone with wide opened eyes..
He throws his phone and goes to bed..

Next day.. only 2 days left for final exams..
Mother comes in to the boy’s room. He is still on bed , but awake..

” Son, why are you still on bed ?”
” Nothing mom”
” Your exams ?”
” I can’t say anything about it. I can’t be sure this time ”

Mother gets a feeling of sorrow in her heart.. she comes and sits beside the boy’s bed..

” I don’t know what had happened to you but I’m sure it’s because of that girl.. ”
” Hm..”
” Won’t you tell your mother?”
” It’s all over mom. Our affair ended”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. She didn’t tell me why ”
Mother looks at him without any expression in her face..
” You are still young . You don’t have much experiences in life..”
She says to her son..
” That girl finished the affair because your exams are near. She might have wanted to put you down ”

The boy looks at her confusingly.

“What are you trying to say mom ?”
” There are some girls , only some , who do things like this. When she finished the affair with you , she wanted to break you down and not let you achieve your victory.”

The boy looks surprised .. he looks at his mother confused..
The scene ends..
After two weeks..

” Mom.. Results have come!”

Mother looks at his son questioningly..

” Tell me fast”

He gives his bag to mother.

“Look for yourself.”

She opens it and gets out something..
A golden coloured trophy.. on it , from small letters , it has ..
” Mark James – Badge Top – 2017″

The boy smiles looking at it..
