Hey, I’m here with an OS on ShaRica. Not DevAkshi, but ShaRica… I was thinking of something to write, and this idea suddenly flashed into my mind. I hope all of you like and enjoy it.
Ok, so let’s begin.
“Erica Fernandes… That’s the name of my co-star?” Shaheer asked the director. “Yeah…” the director replied.
“When is she coming?” “Tomorrow.” Shaheer showed a thumbs-up and went to shoot his next scene with Supriya Pilgaonkar.
It had been a month since Shaheer and Supriya had started shooting, and both were excited about the arrival of the actress playing the role of Sonakshi Bose. “I’m sure she’s going to be great… her name kind of arises that feeling in me,” Shaheer told Supriya as they finished their scene, and were resting before the next scene.
The next day, Shaheer came in early, much to the astonishment of the entire team of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke, for the actor was not at all punctual, and always came late.
“I’m excited to see Erica,” he replied when asked the reason behind his timeliness. He waited eagerly, and finally his co-star arrived on set. Shaheer rushed up in front of the crowd, and stopped in front of the actress.
The actor thought that the young lady was fabulous, and truly beautiful. She looked so pretty, with her brown eyes, and curls of hair tucked neatly behind her ear. “Hi! This is Shaheer,” he finally got in a word, when he was snapped out of his trance.
“Oh hi! This is Erica… You’re my co-star, right?” “You didn’t know that?” Shaheer laughed. Erica grinned, “Sorry… I was chosen in such a hurry… I knew that Shaheer Sheikh was my co-star, I was just making sure.”
The director smiled, seeing that Shaheer and Erica were already bonding at first sight itself. This would be the perfect jodi, he thought. Shaheer showed Erica around, introduced her to everyone, and all that, for it was Erica’s first ever TV show. She was not at all from such a background, and didn’t have any experience.
The scenes that they had together, they did it so perfectly and smoothly… because they had already become friends. In about a month more, Shaheer and Erica had become best friends. Every day, on Instagram, there would be at least one selfie of the couple together.
Everyone loved their on-screen as well as off-screen chemistry. In many interviews, they just kept praising each other, made fun of each other, hugged each other… even all the people on set loved to see them together.
But soon, this friendship was mistaken by people for love. Rumours of the couple dating each other started taking the rounds. Shaheer and Erica brushed off these rumours, but these false tales resulted in the two feeling a little uncomfortable with each other…. at least, Shaheer feeling a little uncomfortable with his co-star.
Shaheer Sheikh had had a love story before, where he had been ditched by his girlfriend, and he did not want the public to think that he was having another one. And he didn’t want to repeat the same mistake of loving someone again. Of course, it was common for anyone, starting to feel a little awkward with a person who you are believed to love, but you don’t. Thus, he started maintaining a distance from Erica, who was quite hurt and surprised. Although Shaheer had a lot of experience, he couldn’t put up with these rumours.
Erica Fernandes was new to the industry, but she knew what it was like to be an actor. Before starting off, she had trained herself for these kinds of rumours, and other things. The girl wondered why Shaheer had started spending less time with her, talking to her rarely, and mostly ignoring her. She felt really bad, for whom she had considered her best friend, was not even talking to her these days.
Nowadays, Shaheer talked to Erica only when they had scenes together, and that too the talk was work-related. The director too noticed this sudden change in his behavior, and continuously asked Shaheer what the matter was, but Shaheer said there was nothing as such. There was tension in Erica’s house too, because her parents had always forbidden her from being an actor, and these rumours got them enraged.
The media also noted these changes in Shaheer’s behaviour, and of course, now the news that Shaheer and Erica were not on talking terms started spreading like wildfire. In one of his interviews, Shaheer, a little irritated, said, ‘I am not dating Erica! Just leave me alone please! She is not at all of my type!’
Shaheer was known to be a very kind-hearted, helpful person. And the words, ‘She is not at all of my type’ made everyone feel that Erica was an impolite, selfish girl. People began to hate the poor actress, although she was nothing of the sort. She felt disheartened, for people on social media began to abuse her, disliked her, and showed the worst hatred towards her. It was her first TV show, and she wasn’t that popular, so the people who liked her stopped doing it, and haters were even happier, for they found a way to increase their cruelty. It was all very mean.
Meanwhile, Shaheer was shocked at hearing this news. He hadn’t meant to make Erica fall in the eyes of the public. In an interview, he tried his best to brush off this news, but in vain. The next headlines on the newspapers were, ‘Shaheer’s goodness’, ‘Although Erica is bad, Shaheer’s just the opposite’, and things like that.
The following night, Erica’s parents came into her room, ashamed. “What had we told you? Being an actor is not so simple! Just leave this show at once!” her father shouted at her.
The next day, Erica Fernandes came to the set, where Shaheer sat, feeling as guilty as ever. He tried to apologize, but Erica shouted, “I am leaving the show! Do you hear me? I am leaving! Thanks a lot, Mr. Sheikh, for all you’ve done!” and she left, crying.
Shaheer stood up, too shocked, at the words, ‘I am leaving’ She was leaving the show? And it was all because of him. He shot the rest of the scenes half-heartedly, and the crew decided that they would have to hire a new actress soon. But, that night, the actor went to Erica’s house, where the girl was sitting sobbing, her head buried in her pillow.
As Shaheer knocked the door, Erica at once wiped her face, opened the door, and was shocked to see him. The actor could see that she had been badly crying. Erica tried to close the door, but Shaheer held it firmly open, and entered the house. No one was there, for her family had gone out.
“Just get out!” Erica shouted, weeping. But he held her by the shoulders and made her sit on the sofa, as he sat next to her. “You can’t leave this show! You can’t!” He could hear her soft breaths, their faces were that close. “Why?!” the girl screamed. “Because I love you!” Shaheer screamed in a voice just as loud.
Yes, Shaheer Sheikh had really fallen in love with his beautiful co-star.
Erica looked at him shocked, “What did you say?” she stammered. “I love you! I really love you so much!” Shaheer repeated, with tears in his eyes. “I can’t bear to lose you!”
“I-I lo-love yo-you too Shaheer!” the girl too admitted her love for him, as they hugged each other, Shaheer kissing her forehead. As they broke the hug, Shaheer moved closer to her, and they united with an intense lip lock, full of love and passion.
