Lies bring them closer – Ishqbaaz ff Chapter 13

Soumya POV
I watched as that witch came down the stairs with her hand wrapped around my Jiju’s arms. I glanced over at my sister, I could see tears pooling up in her eyes. I watched as Papa held her. It was at moments like this that I wished we hadn’t lost our mother 2 years ago.
She had ensured that both her daughters had found eligible men before departing. But now, one was fighting for his life while the other was married to his mistress. I clenched the package in my hand. She would pay today. I will make her pay for everything she did against us.
I watched as she smiled and greeted the guests. People gossiped but not too many knew her real form.
I saw Pinky Chotima glare at her. Prinku and the Raichand heir, Naveen was talking in the corner. Prinku’s eyes were wild with joy. I smiled. They were perfect for each other. Both shy but sweet and loving. Om and I had been plotting for months to bring them together. But today, when the plans and tricks had finally become successful my best friend and my love both are not here to see it.
I know Rudra is partially to be blamed for the child, she did not reproduce on her. But I had grown knowing he would be my husband and he is a bit immature and who knows what sort of black magic she did. I glanced towards the room that the child slept. Shivani, my stepchild, I wanted to hate her but somehow I could not. She was innocent but her mother would have to pay.
Through out the night, I watched my sister silently shed tears as she waltzed around with my sister’s love.
I wonder what Shivaay would say when he found his new wife with another man.
“Waiter!”

Anika POV
“Hello Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi.” An elderly couple came and smiled at us.
Shivaay held my hand. “Hello Mr. and Mrs. Raichand. A pleasure to have you here. This is my wife, Anika.”
Nana, Nani……..I wished to hug them but I was the daughter of their exiled daughter.
I thanked god that Shivaay had not said my whole name. I know…..I know there are many Raichands but…….
Nana smiled. “Finally, one of the Oberois took a sensible decision not to marry those Kapoor girls.” Nani went red.
“Rajveer…….I am so sorry Shivaay. He is not himself nowadays.” She nodded at me before taking my grandfather away from me.
I watched as Nani dragged away Nana. I wanted to run to them and hug them.
“Don’t smile. They don’t know what you are. The Raichands and the Kapoors have a family rivalry for ages.”
After meeting a couple more guests, I felt my legs numb. The navy blue heels that matched my navy blue lehenga was starting to bite my legs.
“Shivaay, can we leave?”
Shivaay looked mocking “Oh so Miss. Anika wants to leave from a party without a single drink.”
I glared at him. “I am tired Shivaay in case you don’t remember I am a mother and traveled from US to India and arrived today.” I felt like wringing my neck. I had used my niece for my own selfish needs.
Shivaay glared but finally nodded.
“Okay! You go. I will come later.”
As I walked towards my room, a waiter came up to me and gave me a juice.
“Madam, orange juice. Sir said you do not drink.” I smiled and thanked the staff and took my drink and walked to my room.

Shivaay POV
I watched as she left.
“Sir, would you like a drink?” A waitress came and gave me juice.” I took a sip.
“Mr. Oberoi, I think we will take your leave. My dear wife is tired. After all having a child just a few months back is not easy.” Mr. Shah smiled. I watched his wife lean into his arms and a feeling of envy absorbed me.
I nodded. “Do take care, Mrs. Shah.” She smiled and nodded.
I turned to the door which she had stormed through. I have to go. She was tired. She was after all my wife.
I finished my drink by the time, I reached my room.
Opening my room, I saw a young lady standing there. She draped her hands around my neck.
“Shivaay….” She whispered huskily.
I slowly felt my mind fogging up. “Anika…” I said as I captured her lips in mine.
Author’s Note: It is a super tiny chapter. Don’t worry the next will be much longer. It will be uploaded tomorrow evening. I know that some of you are shocked with Soumya’s behaviour. But grief and love for your loved ones can make you do very vile things. Besides, I could not think of someone better to spike the drink. Anika’s was spiked by Soumya but Shivaay’s was not. It was someone else in the room. 🙂
I also know that spiked drinks do not work this way in the real world but this is a story. 🙂
