Raghav tells Maithili that he will not tolerate his parent’s insult and is on their side. Jwala thinks what is he doing. He removes engagement ring and throws it away. Maithili heart broken thinks Raghav acted well and is part of his parents’ dowry demand, she realized his lies and greed before marriage and saved herself from their further greedy demands. Bhavana calls Shekhar and scolds him for covering the story. Shekhar asks to blame Maithili as it was her plan and if he had not covered, someone else would have covered it. Maithili digs the ground crying, removes her engagement ring, and buries it in the ground.
Raghav cleans Jwala’s face. Jwala says she loved Maithili like a daughter, but Maithili wrongly alleged and punished them. Raghav keeps a dirty cloth as a remainder of Maithili’s betrayal. Chanchal insists Jwala to tell the truth at least now as he didn’t see Maithili risking her dignity and filing divorce complaint against them, but he saw Arun meeting her and she should tell what they spoke. Jwala starts her lies and says she loves her son and can sacrifice her life for him, she got tempted by marriage broker Chedi’s greedy offer and demanded dowry from Arun, but Arun insulted them saying they are poor and cheap people, but she pleaded him and convince not to cancel the wedding, he gave her a wedding card and went home, but don’t know what Maithili told him and convinced to let her file police complaint against us.
Sadhna blames Maithili for Arun’s problems and says Arun took huge loan for her marriage and she is the reason for his stress. Maithili walks to Arun and offers him water. Shekhar walks in. Bhavana stops him from going in front of Arun. Arun scolds him for creating a drama without thinking that Maithili is getting married in Jwala’s house. Shekhar blames Maithili and says his editor ordered, so he couldn’t deny. Arun asks if he will hang his family on editor’s order. Maithili takes him in.
Jawala continues her lies and says she had given blank paper as dowry list to Arun and requested to send his daughter with 2 dresses to her house. Raghav blindly trusts her. She says she will shift to their old house and he can stay in his bungalow. Vigilance officers reach and confront Raghav for demanding huge dowry just after becoming an officer and says he will lose his job if the girl doesn’t take back her complaint by tomorrow.
Precap: Maithili asks Arun if she did wrong by filing police complaint against Raghav and his family. Arun says she is an example for many girls troubled with dowry demand. Raghav tells family that he can sacrifice his job for his parent’s dignity. Officer tells Arun that they have proof that Raghav’s family demanded dowry, but proof that he gave them dowry and its a crime to give or take dowry.
