Kya Hua Tera Vaada? A Nairan Fanfiction ~ Chapter 1

Naina’s POV

Today marks six years of Karan and my divorce. Every girl has a vision of her Prince Charming, someone who trusts her blindly, supports her and loves her. I had always thought that he was my Prince Charming. I thought that he would always trust me.

He broke my trust. He accused me of something I would never even imagine anyone would accuse me of. I kept asking him to listen to my side of the story but he didn’t. I tried to save our relation so many times but he crossed the limit when he slapped me. He was my Karan, someone who always respected girls but when he raised his hand on me, I decided to walk out of the relationship.

I had always hated people who raised their hands on girls but I had never imagined that Karan would be one of them. It takes two people to build a relationship, only I was trying, Karan wasn’t. I don’t regret my decision of leaving him, I never did.

Di came and sat next to me.

“You’re thinking about Karan, aren’t you?”

“Di, hum sab insaan hi to hai. Phir kyu hota hai aisa?”

Di smiled, “Cheeku, hum sab insaan hi hai par farq sirf itna hai ki, koi zakhm deta hai to koi zakhm bharta hai. Humsafar bahot hai par farq sirf itna hai ki, koi saath deta hai to koi saath chhod deta hai. Pyaar bahot karte hai par farq sirf itna hai ki, koi jaan deta hai to koi leta hai.”

“I hate him, Di!”

“I’m sure you do. All of us do!”

“But Meher should never get to know about what Karan did.”

“I promise, he’ll never get to know.”

Karan’s POV

This is so frustrating! I’ve not travelled to India in the past six years, especially not to Jaipur but I’ve had to travel due to this stupid deal! I have to live here for six months! What if I ever meet anyone from my family here? Everyone hates me! Naina manipulated everyone! My own family is against me!

I drove to my hotel and freshened up. Later, I went to the park for a walk. The park was filled with kids, running and playing. I was jogging when I saw a child crying. A group of kids had bumped into her and knocked her down. I went up to her and wiped her tears. I consoled her and asked her, “What’s your name?”

She sniffed and replied, “Meher!”

“Who did you come with?”

“I came with my mausi!”

“Where is your mausi?”

“I don’t know!”

I decided to buy her an ice cream and we sat on the bench, eating the ice cream when a lady came towards Meher. She hugged her and made sure that Meher was fine. She turned to me to thank me and I saw that the lady was Meghna Bhabhi!

Meghna Bhabhi glared at me angrily and walked out with Meher in her arms, without a word. I felt so hurt! I had made a special connection with Meher in those five minutes. Suddenly, I realized that Meher had said that she came with her mausi! It meant that Meher was Naina’s daughter!

Meghna’s POV
He came back into our lives! No, I will not let that happen. He has hurt my Cheeku enough! Only we know how much Cheeku has suffered after their divorce. I will not let Karan hurt Cheeku again. Meher shouldn’t get to know that Karan is her father. What Karan has done is beyond disgusting!
