Actor Sanjay Gagnani who recently got married to his long-time girlfriend Poonam Preet has planned for a grand wedding reception in Mumbai.
Sanjay, who is known for his role of Prithvi in the show Kundali Bhagya has now decided to postpone the reception amid the Omicron scare.
The rising Covid cases in Mumbai have resulted in the Maharashtra government already putting down several restrictions considering the third wave can hit us anytime. Though a complete lockdown has not been announced and the wedding and receptions can still be continued with certain restrictions, the couple has decided to postpone their reception.
In a recent interview Sanjay talked about it and shared, “First of all, we had to take this decision as it was the need of the hour. Being someone who is followed by many, I have to set an example right where I myself act as a responsible citizen. The cases have been rising majorly and despite all the preparations done, we had to call this off. We will keep everyone posted about the dates changed but as of now I would request all my fans to stay safe and adhere to the current Covid protocols.”
