Kundali Bhagya fame Mrinal Navell Opens Up on Juggling Between Acting and Master’s Studies

In a departure from the past, where actors often sacrificed their education for a full-time acting career, the landscape is changing. Today, young actors are increasingly opting to pursue higher education alongside their acting commitments. Joining this progressive trend is actress Mrinal Navell, renowned for her role as Kavya in the popular show Kundali Bhagya, who is concurrently pursuing her Master’s in Sociology.

Mrinal talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “After completing my graduation from Delhi University, I came to Mumbai and began my pursuit of a career in the industry. While some may believe that ‘having established a career in acting, why bother with education,’ I firmly believe in the power of education. Therefore, I chose to continue my studies. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Sociology from the Indira Gandhi National Open University while actively pursuing my acting career. I’m in my first year, and I’ve always had a passion for studying and reading, which motivated me to pursue a Master’s and enhance my educational qualifications.”

Addressing the challenge of managing both studies and acting commitments, Mrinal emphasized the importance of balance. She said, “Acting is indispensable for me, and so is education. Balancing and managing both aspects is the only way forward. While it can be challenging at times, I schedule my time to study effectively. I make a conscious effort to utilize my time efficiently, dedicating a few hours each week to complete assignments and studies.”

Turning her attention to Kundali Bhagya, Mrinal expressed her joy at being part of the successful show. She shared, “I am genuinely happy to be part of this incredible show that resonates with audiences. The team works tirelessly to keep the audience engaged. As Kavya, the positive response I’ve received fills me with happiness, knowing that people appreciate my work.”

Mrinal, professionally known for her role in ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’ and her significant contribution to a short web film, exemplifies the evolving narrative of actors excelling not only in their craft but also in pursuing higher education, showcasing a commitment to holistic personal and professional growth.
