Kundali Bhagya fame Manit Joura on how being an actor helped him to get his mother treated for brain tumor

Manit Joura is enjoying his second stint in Kundali Bhagya. The actor is back in the show and is loving the experience all over again. Manit who has also been part of TV shows like Prem Bandhan, Raam Milaayi Jodi, and Naagin 6 during a recent interview with BT, admitted that there have been times when he has acted only for money.

He said, “I took up some projects just for money, but with time, I realized that the money I get from it does not satisfy the actor in me. Since then I stopped doing projects for money and now, I take up work that makes me happy as a performer.”

He added, “For me, a low is when I give a bad shot on the sets. In the last 16 years of my acting career, my failures have taught me more than my success.”

On the personal front, last year was a difficult one for him after his mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Talking about it, he shared, “She had been unwell and that was one of the reasons why I quit Kundali Bhagya, which I didn’t reveal at that time. I just wanted to spend all my time with my mother. By the grace of God, she has been treated and is feeling much better now.”

Being an actor helped him get his mother treated. “We were unable to get an immediate appointment with a neurosurgeon in Mumbai. And we were in a hurry given her condition. I was leaving the hospital with a heavy heart when I accidentally met a doctor, who knew me as an actor. His mother was a fan of Kundali Bhagya and he asked me if I could speak to her over a video call. I did that and soon realized that he was a neurosurgeon. I explained my mother’s condition to him and he was very kind. He immediately admitted her and her treatment began. I am so thankful for that,” he said.
