Kundali Bhagya fame Anjum Fakih talks about her memories of Ganesh Chaturthi; says, “As a kid, I remember dancing on the road”

Kundali Bhagya fame Anjum Fakih is super excited about Ganesh Chaturthi just like everyone else in the country. Anjum who is known for essaying the role of Srishty in Kundali Bhagya talked about it during a recent interview with ETimes TV and shared her Ganesh Chaturthi memories.

She said, “My mom used to make Patolya instead of Modak. It’s in a karangi shape, but it’s made with rice flour only, and it had coconut filling in it. So Mummy used to make it, and she used to steam it in some green leaves, and then we would have it. So this is the quick recipe I remember, but it is not so quick. It takes a hell lot of effort to make it. I’m from Konkan, so there are so many delicacies made on Ganesh Utsav. We also use it to make sandan. It’s a form of idli, but it’s very sweet. So yeah, these are a few delicacies which my mom used to make during Ganesh Utsav.”

Taking about her childhood memories of Ganeshotsav, Anjum shared, “I remember as a child celebrating Ganesh Utsav on the road while people brought their Ganapati idol home. We would to dance with them, play with colors, and eat Prasad. So yes, this is my favorite childhood memory.”

When asked about her wishes that she wanted Ganpati to fulfill, she replied, “I don’t know about the 3 wishes, but I pray that the Vighnaharta who’s coming out of hiding this year should set us free from all our problems. I just want everyone to live in peace and harmony with each other.”
