Kundali Bhagya fame Anjum Fakih on her love for dance

Anjum Fakih who is known for essaying two starkly different characters in two popular daily soaps, Kundlai Bhagya and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 is now all set to be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. Along with her passion for acting, the actress also loves to dance.

Talking about it in a recent interview, she shared, “I have always loved dancing, since my childhood. For me, dancing is like expressing your inner self and just enjoying the moment to its fullest. As an actor, there are scenes where I have to dance for a particular scene, and at that moment, I dance my heart out. Dance is just not an art form for us, but it’s also a way of expressing our feelings. Also, the way dance forms have evolved today is just mind-blowing. I personally enjoy all of them, whether they are classical or Western. They all have their way of expressing themselves, and each form holds a different kind of beauty.”

She added, “I don’t exactly remember my first dance performance. But I remember, as a child, celebrating Ganesh Utsav on the road while people brought their Ganapati idol home. I would dance with them. This memory holds a different place in my heart.”

When asked about the importance of dance in an actor’s life and profession, Anjum shared, “As an actor, it’s important to enjoy each step you take in your acting career and one of those steps is being able to dance. Nowadays, an actor needs to know at least the basics of the dance because the time is changing and the audience’s perspective of watching an actor is changing immensely, due to which an actor should have a slight knowledge of how to groove on the songs and it also helps you to keep yourself fit and healthy so there is no loss in learning a skill which will help you grow professionally and as well as physically.”

“I would love to be a part of a dance reality show. I must say the competition has grown to the next level when it comes to dancing, and I would like to try my luck at least once in my life in a dance reality show. I admit I am not a great dancer, but I enjoy doing so. I would love to do Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa if given a chance,” she concluded.
