Kunal Karan Kapoor, who was last seen in Woh Apna Sa is all set to essay the role of a cadet in the upcoming TV show Ziddi Dil. The actor loves to travel on his own and take pictures. He confesses his love for solo trips as well as photography and his social media account is proof of that as it is all about his travel diaries and the pictures that he has clicked on his various sojourns.
Kunal talked about it in an interview with BT and shared, “I can pick up my bag, board a flight and just land at any place unplanned. I remember I had landed in Ladakh completely unplanned during the month of November when it was freezing cold and I was stranded at one place. And then from nowhere a man emerged and remembered me from my TV show Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and helped me out. It was a heart-warming experience. I have visited many countries and love to click pictures. After acting, I love to be behind the camera. I feel travel liberates you and I prefer solitude than going with a bunch of people.”
The last two years of the pandemic inspired Kunal more to pursue his passion for photography, he says, “Photography is a hobby that I discovered most during the last two years. I can’t travel much now because it is not so easy to travel during the pandemic. But when I used to travel, discovering a new city and meeting new people on the roads was my biggest source of happiness. I remember people hosting me for lunch and dinners at their homes. I enjoy solo traveling and even when I’ve felt lonely, I met people who made me feel good. I have made friends in so many countries. My ideal vacation is an unplanned vacation. I have lost count of the number of countries I have traveled to in the past few years. The longest trip, I remember, lasted for 55 days. I traveled to three continents and lived in 17 hotels – Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East.”
Kunal adds, “I feel it is important to be happy with whatever you do, whether it is traveling solo or with a bunch of people. And when I am not working, I prefer to travel or click pictures. It makes me happy.”
