The Episode starts with Monisha coming to the kitchen and asking Poorvi to wash something. She says you heard whatever everyone talked about me. Poorvi says I saw something and came to know how good you are. Monisha asks what did you see that you are showing the attitude. Poorvi says I saw you with the guy, who does dealing of fake notes, and I am sure that you are the one who changed the real notes with fake notes. Monisha gives her visiting card of that guy and says he wants me to do specs business with me. She asks her to get specs for clear vision. Poorvi says I have seen you with him, and I am sure that he has to do something with fake notes. She says this time, I wasn’t got accused, but my family was accused too. She says the matter is about both families’ respect now. She gives visiting card to her back.
Poorvi comes to her room. RV is already there. Poorvi says you have come. He says he don’t want to talk. She asks what did I do? RV says you always does something. Poorvi tells that she was waiting for him that he will come for dinner. He asks her not to be typical wife. Poorvi says she was waiting for him to inform that she is going to meet maa tomorrow, she was not waiting to have dinner with him. He asks her to go and have dinner. Poorvi comes to the Dining table and thinks she has to eat alone. Yug comes there and say he will eat food with her. He says sadness doesn’t look good on you and asks her to share if she wants to say. Poorvi says she is innocent. Yug says I know. Poorvi says I thought that RV trusts me, but. Yug says Bhai is innocent and gets influenced by others’ talk. He asks how is everyone at her house, and her to go and meet them. He asks what is in the food? She serves him dal chawal. He asks if she made. She says yes.
Poorvi comes to the room and sees him shirtless while the door is opened. She asks why did he let the door open. He says there is just family members. She says she is his wife. She asks if I made you conscious? RV says no and wears the shirt. He goes. Poorvi comes out and gives his wallet. She asks if you are angry with me. RV asks do you think that I give you importance? Poorvi takes the wallet back to the room. They argue. He says he has a bad habit and he does tit for tat. Poorvi says even I have a bad habit to give fitting reply to the opposite person. Yug comes there. RV says this Poorvi is getting inside my mind and irritating me. Yug says this is love, you are in love. RV says you will not come with me. He goes. Yug asks him to stop.
Poorvi thinks to wear pink color as it is her and Maa’s favorite color too. Later Poorvi comes to Prachi’s house. Prachi asks how is she? Poorvi says she is fine and thought to meet them. Ashok says you did good. Prachi asks did you have food? Poorvi says yes. Prachi says I know that you didnt have anything. She says I will bring tea for you. Ashok says I will bring biscuits for you and goes. Vishaka gets teary eyes and tells Poorvi about their bad financial condition, and says we didn’t tell you even then. Poorvi asks what happened? Vishaka says your mother had gone there, and Harleen doesn’t let her meet you, saying it is late night, and told her doubt about you, but RV came and took her inside to meet you. Prachi comes and asks what happened? Poorvi says no and takes tea. Ashok brings biscuits and asks Prachi to serve it in plate. Poorvi says she is still the same.
RV is driving the car, and stops it seeing Poorvi. He asks what she is doing here? Poorvi says she is going home after meeting Maa. he asks her to sit. She asks if he gets attacks, as sometimes he is good and sometimes he is angry. She says she will not sit in his car else next time she will expect him to give lift, and if he dont then she will feel bad, so that’s why she will not sit in his car. He says ok and drives the car. Poorvi tries to get the auto and sees the fake notes guy getting down the auto. She says I need to talk to you. He runs. She runs behind him and holds his bag. RV returns and thinks to teach her a lesson when he sees the guy pushing Poorvi and runs away. He gets down the car and tries to catch him. The guy pushes him and runs. RV sees Poorvi fallen on the road, comes to him and helps her get up. They look at each other.
Precap: Diya asks Poorvi if she loves RV and wants to be with him, and asks her to decide. Later Poorvi confronts Monisha. Monisha says for your happiness, I will accept that I have done it, but do you have proofs?

The only reason Ranbir didn’t follow through that plan is because when he’d taken Khushi out on ice cream treat that night, he saw that the police had started searching for Khushi and it will impossible to take her out of the city, and getting caught while trying to take her out of the city when Kohlis were instructed by the orphanage to inform them if Khushi comes to them or they get her news, was same as illegally keeping her, since Ranbir still didn’t have her legal custody and she still belonged to the orphanage.

Except that it is not a hypothetical situation. There is scene of Pallavi Ranbir and Khushi in a room, Pallavi suggesting to Ranbir to take Khushi to the farmhouse and keep her there for sometime and Ranbir agreeing to it.
Then next day, Ranbir getting his brain back and deciding to drop Khushi in orphanage for time being. There is also a scene of Pallavi phone calling him and crying to him to bring Khushi back to the house at that very moment, because Ranbir took the decision to drop Khushi back into orphanage without telling Pallavi so she was aghast.
So, while I agree that we cannot call it kidnapping, ‘illegally trying to keep her’ definitely fits the scenario.
P.S.: he hid from Prachi regarding Khushi being with him despite knowing that Prachi was thinking Khushi is kidnapped and getting worried sick about her. Prachi actually confronted him about it the next day and he had no answer to give her

If we assume spoiler to be true, then Ranbir dedradqtion at start of leap doesnt look so pathetic as it was. The only issue would then be why he didnt search for Khushi afterwards. In essence we were only shown his initial reaction, not full 20 years afterwards.

There is flashback of Ranbir where Prachi has come to meet him in jail and he asked whether she trusts him. Prachi answered that not just her, Tondon family also trusts him that he didn’t kill Akshay. At least, there is no any scene where we see ASHOKPREET or Bua blaming Ranbir or asking him why he killed Akshay.
