The Episode starts with Mihika telling Prachi that today you will hate me, but I have seen you staring at Ranbir. She says you have soft corner for Ranbir, this is not right. Ranbir says I can’t bear anything against Prachi. Akshay asks what is your problem, why you can’t bear anything when the matter is about Prachi. Ranbir says problem is you, when you blame us, and taunt at our sacred relation. Akshay says sacred relation. Abhay brings the CCTV footage. Vishaka says you said that Ranbir was talking to someone. Prachi recalls and tells that even she has seen this. Akshay checks the CCTV footage and shows to everyone. Ranbir says he is a dancer, what I have to do with him. Vishaka says he is looking someone else indisguise of a dancer. Ranbir says he came to me and was talking normally with me. Akshay says how can you be innocent and says you was talking to kidnapper to get Khushi kidnapped. He says dancers are here, we are talk to them. Prachi says call them. Ranbir asks Prachi if she is believing Akshay, and says I can’t do this. Akshay says you can do this, and reminds Prachi that he has done it before also. Prachi says he had done it before also. Ranbir says I didn’t do it, and says Khushi had run from orphanage and came to my house. He says Khushi told yourself. Prachi says Khushi told what we ask her to say. Vishaka says all the dancers are in queue and asks Ranbir to come.
Ranbir says I was talking to him, signing at the dancer. Akshay says he is not the one and says you have sent him somewhere to hide Khushi, and asks where is my daughter? Ranbir says I have a strong doubt on you. Akshay asks if I will do this cheap thing and will kidnap my own daughter. Ranbir says you can do this? Akshay beats up Ranbir badly. Ranbir then holds his hand and beats Akshay. Akshay then attacks Ranbir again. They had a bad fight. Akshay asks him to say where is his daughter? Ranbir says she is my daughter and tells that you are a cheap man and can do this. Ashok asks them not to fight. Akshay asks Ashok to remove his blindfold and sees Ranbir’s truth and says he is a bad person. Ranbir says she is my daughter. Akshay says don’t snatch my rights, she is my daughter legally. He manipulates Prachi and says anything can happen to her, she is a small girl. He asks her to ask Ranbir, and says he has feelings for you even now. He asks her to ask Ranbir. Ranbir asks Prachi if she is doubting on him. Prachi asks where is Khushi, where is my daughter? She asks him to say and shouts asking where is my daughter? She says I will not say anything and asks him to answer. Akshay says he is not answering and asks him to tell Prachi. He asks Prachi to call Police. Mihika asks him if he is mad. Prachi says I will not do anything, she is your daughter also. She says you will tell atleast Police.
Mihika tries to stop Prachi. Akshay says everything will be solved once Police comes. Ranbir looks at Prachi. Akshay comes back and tells that he has found slipper in Ranbir’s car. He says Ranbir’s slipper also have mud like Khushi’s slipper. Prachi asks Ranbir. Ranbir nods no. Prachi calls Police and says my daughter is kidnapped and the person is infront of me who has kidnapped her. She asks him to send his team to Tandon Mansion. Ranbir asks Prachi if you think that I have kidnapped our daughter. Akshay asks how many proves, shall I give you? He says how to prove that you have kidnapped Khushi. Vishaka looks on, even after knowing the truth. Prachi says why? The Police Inspector comes there. Prachi says he is Ranbir Kohli, and asks him to ask him why did he kidnap my daughter. Ranbir says I am innocent, I didn’t do anything, Akshay lied to you. Police arrests and takes Ranbir from there. Akshay takes Prachi from there. Pallavi gets a phone call and gets shocked. She tells Vikram that Ranbir is arrested. Vikram asks why? Pallavi says I will tell you on the way. Ranbir tells Inspector that I have to go and search my daughter. Pallavi, Vikram and Dida reach there.
Pallavi says we will talk to him. She tells Inspector that her son is innocent and says it is their misunderstanding. Inspector says whatever you said last time, was a lie, and says your son has kidnapped his own daughter. Vikram asks if you are in your senses. Ranbir says why will I kidnap my own daughter, and says I have to go and search my daughter. Inspector asks him to be quiet and says court is closed tomorrow also. Dida asks if he has no heart that he is doing this. He says Akshay told me that he wants to get Prachi and that’s why he kidnapped Khushi. Ranbir says Prachi is my own wife. Inspector says he is saying someone else’s wife as his. Vikram says Prachi is his wife only and then says ex wife, you don’t know what happened in the past. Inspector says court is closed for 3 days. Pallavi asks Ranbir not to worry. Vikram tells Pallavi that I asked you not to send Ranbir there.
Pallavi, Vikram and Dida go to Tandon house. Pallavi calls Prachi. Vishaka says Prachi is not here. Pallavi says don’t take my name, and says I didn’t think that your family is such that I didn’t think of. Akshay asks her to look at her family and says don’t open his mouth, else I will say so much about your family that you can’t bear. Vikram asks him not to forget that she is his wife and asks him to stay in his limits. Dida asks him to calm down. She asks how can you get him arrested. Manpreet says even we didn’t believe, but seeing the proofs…Pallavi says Ranbir can’t do this, and tells that he loves his daughter than his own life. Akshay says that’s why he has kidnapped her as he can’t live without her. Mihika says they are Ranbir’s family and asks him to behave. Akshay says their son has kidnapped my daughter, I don’t have anything to do with their son. Vikram says we care for our son and his daughter. Ashok says we will know from Police investigation and says even you and your lost your conscience as your son is in lock up. He asks them to think what they are feeling as their grand daughter is missing. Vikram says I understood that there is no use to talk. Pallavi curses the day she met them and fixed the alliance. She says she will never forgive you. Mihika cries. Akshay looks on.
Ranbir is asked to sign on some papers. Prachi comes there. Ranbir says thank god, your anger is calm down and says we shall leave and search Khushi together. Prachi says it is enough and says I will not bear any lies, and says the matter is about my daughter and asks him not to waste her time, and asks him to say where is her daughter? Prachi says your daughter and says you comes to claim your rights and doesn’t fulfill your responsibility.
Prachi says Akshay has fulfilled responsibility of a father and that’s why he is a father of Khushi legally. Ranbir asks her to leave and says I don’t want you to regret later, as I don’t want to say anything wrong. Prachi asks him to say anything, but tell where is her daughter? She says I didn’t spend a day then she got separated from me, then I found her, and then I have to let her go to hostel for her betterment. He says I am a cursed mother, and tells that she didn’t get a chance to spend life with her. Ranbir says my pain is not different from you, and says you have adopted her and stayed with her, and says even I want to give so much love to her. Prachi asks him to say where is her daughter? Ranbir says that is your problem, and tells that you don’t trust me, and says because of your thinking, we are not together. Prachi says don’t tell me, I will search Khushi and once I find her, then I will let you meet her even once. Ranbir says Khushi is my daughter and once I find her, I will not let her meet you even once, she is even my daughter.
Precap: Ranbir thinks how did Akshay know that the person we are searching is not there, though his face was not clear in CCTV footage and thinks it means that Akshay knows who has kidnapped her. Akshay says you was disloyal to me…Prachi..you have to suffer.

The successful experiment of actually changing the FL has been done convincingly only once : in third generation of Pavitra Rishta.
There, Naren and Pari were originally in love, but Naren loses her memory in accident, and loses sanity. Though he is not your normal brand of psycho. He is rational, but living in delusion. Due to accident and memory loss, he vanishes from Pari’s life without any explanation and she misunderstands that he ditched her
He meets Ankita, and for some reason, assumes her as his long lost love. They get married, and even make love, which results in Ankita getting pregnant
But then unexpectedly, one day Pari comes in front of him, and the shock of seeing her suddenly, cures the damage his brain had taken resulting in memory loss, and his memory returns, but NOW he forgets what all he did during his delusional phase!!
He refuses to accept Ankita as his wife since obviously he doesn’t remember meeting her and falling in love with her. He starts running behind Pari. Ankita, realizing that Naren and Pari are actually lovers, decides to get out of their way, but on day of Naren and Pari’s marriage, Ankita’s pregnancy is revealed to all!
Initially Naren showed preparedness to accept Ankita for the child (because being a gentleman he was, he couldn’t dispute that he was married to Ankita during his mad phase, and if he got her pregnant then he couldn’t abandon her) but Ankita refuses and says the child is not his, clearing way for Naren and Pari’s marriage. Ankita leaves the city
After Naren and Pari get married, their married life is shown. And here, there’s actual twist. Till now they were only lovers. But after getting married and starting living together, they realized that they are actually incompatible. Naren was honest and a man of morals, while Pari was completely professional and workaholic woman, and didn’t care about morality of the ways if they help her achieve success. So their ethics crashed against each other almost daily, and differences started arising.
Pari got pregnant, but suffered miscarriage, and blamed it on Naren. This caused another round of blame game and misunderstandings, and it seemed like their marriage will definitely fall apart now.
But around same time, Naren’s mother learned that Ankita is really pregnant with Naren’s child. So she tracked her down, kept watch on Ankita till her delivery, and after delivery, STOLE Ankita’s child and replaced it with another stillborn, and bribed the doctor to tell Ankita that she’d delivered a dead child!! (One of the most heinous acts shown in Nagpal’s plot)
And then Naren’s mother kept the child on her own doorstep, and made it look like someone had abandoned their child on their doorstep and asked Naren and Pari to adopt it. Naren’s mother thought that the child will rejuvenate the spark in their dying marriage, but sadly it couldn’t happen.
Naren immediately took to the child, not knowing that it’s his own daughter, but Pari couldn’t connect with her and this became the point of another contention between them. Pari could never become Arushi’s mother, and this left Arushi, striving for mother’s love !!
There are lots of twists and turns, shown, including 5 years leap, but in the end Pari learns that Arushi is Naren’s own child from Ankita. Pari couldn’t bear it, and actually tried to send her to human traffickers, to send her away from Naren’s life!!
This was the last straw for Naren, and he finally decides to leave Pari!!
He asks Ankita for marriage, for Arushi’s sake, but Ankita refuses, saying that she doesn’t want to live into loveless marriage, and they can co-parent Arushi.
But one day, Naren’s memory regarding his delusion days returns, and he recollects every day he spent with Ankita. He clearly sees the difference between Pari and Ankita’s natures, and he realizes that he actually fell in love with Ankita during his delusion days !!
This is how, maybe for the first time in itv history, a FL was changed through natural flow of the plot. There wasn’t any forced change in characterization of the characters, and nowhere it felt that some characters are being purposefully degraded while others are glorified

But after 3 months leap they changed rk from anti pranbir to pro pranbir and made prachi anti Ranbir.
And they have sidelined her very badly.

Probably because for Jenny Prachi becomes a side character that fades away after Rahika. Even after watching the episodes you don’t know where side characters such as Sahana and Aryan dissapeared to. Prachi must be like that for Jenny

I understand that you can critise a characters behaviour, but at some point you have to reach that conclusion that its forced degradation. Forget Birlas her own family ignored her too. She raised Roohi for 6 years as a single parent. No one in her family was worried about her future or how she will be alone when Roohi grow up. Akshara was a widow for just a month and her family wanted her to marry Abhimanyu because she will be alone in life after Abhir grow up.
