Kumkum Bhagya 20th September 2023 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com
The Episode starts with Manpreet asking everyone to come for aarti. Ashok and Manpreet begin the aarti. Vishaka calls Akshay to do puja with his life partner. Prachi does aarti with Akshay. Manpreet asks Ranbir to do puja with Mihika. Mihika and Ranbir do the aarti together. Ranbior then does aarti with Khushi. Abhay and others do the aarti. Pandit ji asks Prachi to give prasad to everyone. Akshay tells that some dancers would have come, but they got late. He says we will break the handi after the dance performance. He says guess what, who will break the handi. The dancers come there. The goon comes there indisguise of a dancer. Akshay signs him. The dancers dance. Khushi dances infront of them. Ranbir dances with Khushi. Radhe song plays…..The goon keeps eye on Khushi. Ranbir and Khushi while the dancers dance in the background. Prachi, Akshay and others look on. Ranbir gives water to Khushi and then make her eat biscuit. Akshay gets up and signs the goon. The goon goes to Ranbir and Khushi, and lifts her. Ranbir gets a call and goes from there, as he couldn’t hear. Akshay signs the goon. The goon looks at Khushi. Vishaka asks them to sit and says Khushi will break dahi handi. Prachi says I will get the stuff to break dahi handi. Manpreet calls Khushi and asks where did she go? Vishaka looks at Akshay and doesn’t act anything. Ranbir comes out to attend the spam (Akshay’s goon’s) call. Akshay’s other goon attack him and snatches his phone. Ranbir hits him and takes back his phone.
Prachi comes back and asks where is Khushi? Akshay asks why you are not searching her. Prachi says she must have hidden somewhere intentionally. Akshay asks Ranbir was saying the same thing and asks where is he? Abhay says he has last seen Ranbir with a strange looking guy. Everyone begins searching again. Prachi asks Khushi to come out, and goes inside the room. She says you trouble me a lot, and asks her to come out. She checks everywhere in the room, and thinks she is not in room, terrace and says where did she go? She recalls Ranbir playing hide and seek game with Khushi. A fb is shown, Ranbir catches Khushi as she sits in the cupboard. Khushi asks him to play again. Ranbir keeps hand on his eyes. Khushi hides under the blanket on the bed. Ranbir searches for her. Khushi scares him and says she has won.
Ranbir comes inside. Ashok asks where is Khushi? Ranbir says she was here. Ashok says Khushi is not here. Ranbir says she must be with Prachi and says I will call her. Divya tells that Prachi went to search her. Akshay acts as a possessive father and says if anything happens to her, she is my life and asks him to take care of her. Ranbir says I can understand and asks him not to worry. Akshay looks on as Ranbir goes. Vishaka also pretends to search her, though she knows about her kidnapping.
Prachi searches her and pulls the blanket, but she is not there. Vishaka says she is not under the bed. Prachi cries and says she doesn’t do this and says she is scared. She says I will search her. Manpreet asks her to see. Ranbir says may be she is in the garden and says I will go and see her there. Ranbir asks Prachi if she saw everywhere. Prachi says yes, I searched everywhere. Ranbir says I will go out and check. Akshay asks where is Khushi? Ranbir and says I have seen you with Khushi with a strange guy. Abhay says you was talking to a guy who was one of the dancers. Ranbir says yes, I talked so what do you mean? Akshay blames Ranbir for kidnapping his daughter Khushi. Ranbir asks are you serious? Akshay says I know your intention, and says you don’t want my daughter to stay with us. Ranbir asks if you have gone mad? Akshay says I will go to any extent to get her and says the matter is about my daughter. Ranbir says she is my daughter and I will not take her.
Akshay says you show that you are very good, but you want to keep her away from Prachi and me. Ranbir asks have you gone mad and tells that Prachi is her mother, why will I separate Khushi from her. Akshay says I heard you telling Khushi that you want Prachi and Khushi as your family. He says then Khushi said that she wants to stay here, and she loves me more. He asks if she doesn’t say this. Ranbir says she said this, but. Prachi asks him to say if Khushi said that she wants to stay here with me. Ranbir says yes, what wrong I said. Akshay says you kidnapped her so that your work is done and nobody could knew about it. Ranbir asks if I will kidnapped my own daughter. Akshay says I am saying what I heard and saw. Ranbir says I felt good when Khushi said that she loves you all, and I am happy that you all love her. Akshay asks him to tell where is his daughter? Ranbir says she is my daughter too. Akshay says she is not your daughter? He asks what is this mark on your neck and says Khushi must have scratched you when you was kidnapping her. Ranbir says someone attacked me outside. Manpreet asks what you are doing Akshay? Akshay says I am your son and you don’t trust me, but I will prove this infront of you all. He says Khushi is my daughter, and says I will prove it. He asks Ranbir, what you was talking to that dancer. Ranbir says I didn’t know him.
Akshay asks Abhay to go and get the CCTV footage so that everyone comes to know who has done this and why? He tells Ranbir that he is from the respected family and says the orphanage people made him as Khushi’s father. Ranbir asks have you gone mad, if I will kidnap my own daughter. He says if I want to take her, then she would have come with me. Akshay says the matter is about Prachi, as you want her. Ashok asks Akshay if you are mad to say this. Prachi says I can’t hear any drama daily. Akshay says I am not saying this to humiliate you, and says your respect is mine, and says I heard from him that he wants to separate Khushi from Prachi. Mihika asks what you are saying? She says what you are saying that Ranbir’s sight is on Prachi, but actually Prachi’s sight is on Ranbir. She says I am sorry, you will hate me, but I will say that your sight doesn’t go off Ranbir. Prachi, Ranbir and others are shocked.
Precap: Prachi calls Police and says she is calling from Tandon Mansion, and says someone kidnapped my daughter and the kidnapper is infront of me. The Police comes and arrests Ranbir, though he pleads innocence. Akshay looks on. In the PS, Prachi tells that once she gets her daughter, then shen will not let him come near her again even for a moment.

Shalki has more chemistry the actors are suited. Their story is similar to OG Pranbir, the banter, hatred etc. I love hate to love tropes. Rajveer is really good looking though and yes definitely Nagpal will make him marry a vamp. The female lead has a sister did you say? Is she a vamp? Then definitely after a few years he’ll marry her.

1) intentionally caused an accident
2) tried to run over Rajveer
3) trapped both Palki and Rajveer into fake thievery, separately
4) kidnapped Palki, and when Rajveer came to save her, clicks their pics in compromising position
I really don’t see Shaurya as ML, at least till now

Based on the precap & news segments, looks like the upcoming episodes will be pure torture. Doesn’t help that this week is almost over, so we’ll be bombarded with all sorts of theories and potential spoilers until Monday’s episode, and I don’t think anything good will happen by then. Really hope this track is wrapped up quickly like Mihika’s suicide attempt track. The last time Khushi was kidnapped, it lasted for weeks, but at least Pranbir were working together then. I actually came across a scene after Khushi took the bullet (still can’t believe that actually happened), and it was nice to see both Ranbir & Prachi recall the bad things they had said to each other after Panchi was kidnapped. They were both regretting their words, and were consoling each other. Is it too much to ask for something like this?

Krishna is fine as he is. He just needs glasses and that’s about it. They don’t give much changes to the men. As for the ladies, old sarees but with a low bun. Less makeup too.
Like others, I also won’t watch another ITV show after Pranbir, and definitely not one with Nagpal as the writer. I actually stayed away from ITV shows for years and only watched a few here and there. Either the shows were already over so I could just skip the cringe scenes, or I was able to let go once I had enough. I don’t know whether to count it as a curse or blessing the day I stumbled upon Pranbir. I’m happy that I was able to enjoy their great chemistry and sweet story in the initial stages, but it’s such a torture being their fan now. Maybe Krishdha/Pranbir also use black magic to lure viewers to such an extent that it’s hard to let go despite the atrocity that’s being shown 😅

Because they wanted to continue and didn’t wanna quit. Pranbir are here for a short while. One already said it’s temporary. So they can’t bring another woman in. But they can return Rhea. If Pranbir is to die, she’ll kill them off

I think in Pavitra Rishta, Manav took both their daughters with him while shifting abroad. Then Archana adopted Purvi.

The whole fandom has been craving for a memory loss track. Before I wanted Prachhi to be the one to lose her memory, now I want Ranbir to be one. He has been running behind her for too long. This time Prachi needs to be the one to try to reconcile and actually act like she loves him instead of having monologues about it. But I also think this is wishful thinking.

Ranbir didn’t get one for hotel incidence or making Prachi agree to marry Siddharth, because hotel incidence was never uncovered and Ranbir was shown to realize his mistake of not trusting Prachi on his own, thus effectively saving her from the shame of actually getting it thrown into his face that how wrong he was in doubting Prachi!!
Same with SIDACHI marriage. If Prachi had been shown the one to expose Rhea to have altered her DNA reports and herself stopped her marriage with Siddharth then Ranbir would have been again proven a clear guilty of making Prachi agree to get married to Siddharth.
But again nothing of sort happened. Eventually it became Ranbir only stopped the marriage. So instead of getting proven as Prachi’s culprit, he became her saviour !!
But in this case if Ranbir actually saves Khushi and proves Akshay as mastermind, then Prachi gets squarely proven as guilty of not trusting Ranbir, something which was never shown happening to Ranbir.
And if put myself in Prachi’s place, I really can’t think what type of redemption would alliavate this guilt

Plus, this is Balaji we’re talking about, perhaps the biggest production house of ITV, and it’s not a good idea to be in their bad books if you want to survive in the industry. I’m happy to hear that she didn’t seem stressed, which might be because of bappa since she’d mentioned in another IV about getting positive vibes from him. The fact that he apparently married Nidhi not long after Preeta’s presumed demise was enough for Srishti to lump him with rest of his family who actually mistreated Preeta. As we have seen in kkb, a husband presumably marrying another woman is not tolerable to his wife or her relatives
Besides, Rajveer does have some pretty valid reasons to believe Srishti. Most prominently the fact that the woman he was thinking as her mother’s sister is in reality his mother, must have come as the biggest shock for him, the fact that she doesn’t even remember that she has a son, a second biggest shock
Moreover Preeta exhibits some visible signs of having suffered a trauma, as we were shown, seeing a marriage taking place triggers her, and she behaves psychotically. If you combine all these things, I don’t fault his hatred against Luthras.
At least unlike in Rhea’s case, he is not being entirely artificially manipulated. Alia straight up lied to Rhea that Pragya abandoned her because she considered her ‘unlikely’ and ‘not worthy taking her with her’, and also that she left Abhi for another man. But Srishti’s hatred against Luthras is based on at least partial truth, since it’s a fact that Preeta has suffered a great deal at Luthras’ hand , and blaming her for Karan’s accident and loss of one of the twins was the last straw.
But you can clearly see that Rajveer is actually melting towards Luthras except Shaurya, even towards Karan

While Alia was only telling lies, Rhea’s hatred towards the mother that abandoned her is completely justified for me than Rajveer’s for Luthras. While Luthras might have treated Preeta badly, they didn’t intentionally cut ties with Rajveer. On the otherhand, Pragya left one of her daughter knowingly she is alive and cut any ties for 20 years due to her isses with Abhi. Then even after coming back to Delhi she made no efforts to check on her younger daughter 🤷♀️ That’s pure indication of favoring one child over the other. In my book that’s the worst a parent can do to a child and it is 1000 times worse than treating your spouse as crap. Being a bad spouse doesn’t mean being a bad parent but being a shitty parent makes you a bad parent that doesn’t care about your child. Of course for same reasons Prachi should have hated Abhi too and it’s not Rhea’s fault that Prachi is an idiot not to understand that her father actually doesn’t care about her. Whatever Rhea’s faults are her hatred on Pragya for abandoning her is one thing I will stand by Rhea. It’s the same reason I am completely fine with Khushi choosing Akshey over Ranbir too. Equivalents of all three (Prachi accused of having a affair with Sid, seeds of doubt by Rhea, photo Rhea sent that shows Sid-Prachi checking into hotel as equivalent to cctv of Ranbir talking to kidnapper) were there in hotel incident even before Ranbir saw Sid-Prachi with his own eyes. But he only believed and exploded after he saw them together sleeping in the room. You say both are similar except one difference. But major difference is Ranbir saw the crime with his own eyes where as Prachi didn’t see the crime with her own eyes. That time Rhea could have called the police and but it was beneficial to them if she left the house. That time as well he was letting her go although she was pregnant. And point is Ranbir lied to Prachi to her face that he doesn’t know whether Khushi is, despite knowing that Prachi is worried for her and even thinking that her life is in danger.
What was the problem in telling her the truth that Khushi was locked in orphanage, but escaped and came to KM by herself?? I would blame writer for these as well, if their original traits didn’t have bad behaviour to begin with. Everyone you mentioned, had bad behaviour to begin with, they weren’t ‘dégraded’, they were introduced like that. You even caught hint of obsessiveness in Akshay, which I’d missed, means his character too was kept open for potentially to go bad
That’s why for Pallavi’s character, just like Prachi’s, I blame Nagpal more than Pallavi herself. Her character too, in my opinion, has been degraded post Rhea’s first suicide attempt. There’s polar difference in her character before and after Alia framed Prachi as mastermind behind Maya.
Original Pallavi wasn’t classist, nor was she judgemental based on financial status. OG Pallavi completely approved Prachi. She respected her even more than her own son. It was Pallavi who first hinted Ranbir that he thinks he likes classy girls like Rhea, but actually he likes simple girls like Prachi, and this shows that the OG Pallavi would have been the happiest mother if Ranbir fell in love with Prachi
But to enable first RR track, Nagpal made Pallavi as Prachi hater, and he never redeemed her. Pallavi’s redemption was possible if Rhea and Alia were proven as mastermind behind planting Maya into Ranbir’s life.
Pallavi and Ranbir first went against each other over Prachi’s character. Ranbir maintained that Prachi is innocent, while Pallavi maintained that she is cunning and manipulative who has trapped Ranbir in her love.
Pallavi assumed Rhea and Ranbir as Prachi’s victims, but if Rhea had been exposed as actual culprit within short time, and Prachi had been proven as the one who was Ranbir’s actual saviour, then it WAS possible to redeem her character, because then it was possible to show her having understood that her choice for her son was bad, where as he himself had chosen perfect girl.
But unfortunately, it was never shown. Rhea didn’t get exposed, on the other hand Ranbir went against Pallavi for Prachi, which fueled the insecurities planted in her mind by Rhea and Alia that Prachi wants to steal her son from her, which wasn’t the truth at all. Ranbir was only supporting what was right, but Rhea and Alia’s manipulations made Pallavi blind to this.
And Pallavi’s Prachi hate has persisted for such a long time, that now it has ‘life of its own’,i.e. it continues despite no more active manipulations to turn her against Prachi
Just like Prachi, Pallavi is another ‘ruined’ character. Because her original traits weren’t like what she is today

This is not in Prachi’s defense or Mihika’s opposition, but Mihika will support Ranbir regardless of whether or not he has actually done what he is being accused of. Because she wants him, and needs to stay in his good books, which cannot be achieved by going against him
