Scene 1
They take Chiragh upstairs. Doctor checks Chiragh. She says hopefully the fever would abate by morning. Chiragh says dai ma.. Where is dai ma? Doctor says who is dai ma? Diwan says his caretaker. She had been with him since childhood. She isn’t here at the moment. Doctor says he will be better is she comes back. Please call her back.
Yashodin says on call. No please don’t let her come back. Manjila says but Chiragh has high fever. Yashodin says he is a child. I sent a book and a letter for Paresh. If he had read it he would have known the truth too. Manjila says I think Dai ma stole that book. She tells him when dai was hiding something. Manjila says I am sure she hid them somewhere. Manjila says I beg you please save my Chiragh. Please save him. Yashodin says don’t
Yashodin says tomorrow Chiragh will be 5. He will be on a point where darkness will be on his way. We have to save Chiragh anyway.
Dai keeps doing black magic. She says they will have to call me back. She says soon my phone will ring and they will beg me to come back.
Vidya does cold strips on Chiragh’s head. She says please God recover Chiragh. Diwan says we have to be strong. Vidya says I will be strong. I will take care of my child. When Chiragh was born there were a lot of problems. God sent Dai ma for help. We have to bring her back. Diwan says but ba will never agree. Vidya says you have to convince him for our child.
Manjila is praying with the family in temple for Chiragh. Diwan comes and says Chiragh still has temperature and he wants Dai ma back. I think we should call her. Manjila says not at all. Diwan says you checked her room there was no book. Manjila says but we found a puppet with Chiragh’s clothes on it. The toy is not Chiragh’s and dai ma is too old to have toys. Diwan comes downstairs. Everyone asks him how is Chiragh? Shiela says is he okay? Vidya brings him downstairs. Shiela hugs him. They all caress his face. Chiragh says did dai ma come back? Diwan says I have decided. I am going to bring her back. Manjila says no. Chiragh says please let her come back ba. Manjila says no she is not a good woman. You are ill because of her. Diwan says ba please don’t say all this to him. Manjila says I am telling him the truth. Dai ma tries doing black magic on him. She made that puppet. Chiragh says I asked her to a puppet for me as birthday gift. Please show me that puppet. Mili brings it. Chiragh takes it and says yay. It is so nice I asked her to make exactly the same. Diwan says what answer do you have now ba? Manjila says yashodin said.. Diwan says don’t bring him in now. she made this puppet to make him happy. Paresh says why didn’t she tell us? VIdya says maybe because she was hurt. We insulted her. Vidya says Diwan we should bring her back. She says Chiragh we are bringing dai ma back.
Scene 2
Diwan and Vidya reach outside Dai’s house. She says they are here to take me back. She looks back at all her magic stuff. Dai ma comes outside. She is locking the door. Vidya says where are you going? dai ma says I am leaving the city. Diwan says we are all ashamed. vidya says I am sorry. We all know you made that puppet to make chiragh happy. Vidya says you have to come for him Dai ma. He is ill. He wants you back. Dai says my child.. He is ill. Please take me to him.
Chiragh is crying. Dai ma comes there. Chiragh hugs her. He says thank God you are back Dai ma. Dai ma whispers get well now. Chiragh says dai ma it is my birthday. Where did you go? You had to give me my gift. Chiragh says promise me you won’t leave me ever. She says promise. Manjila touches him and says his fever has gone? Everyone smiles. Vidya says dai ma please rest in your room. Chiragh says I will take her to her room. Alpesh says lets all go to room and sleeps. We have to prepare for the party tomorrow.
Manjila says to Shiela isn’t this all weird? Chiragh had high temperature and suddenly its gone. This is magic. What does this dai ma want.
