The following article will contain spoilers for Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi.
On Friday, August 4th’s episode of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, it showed how Vicky is trying to change. He now has a more humble job as a restaurant manager and his own place to live. He even visits Soha and Golu at school because he misses them and maybe now knows what it means to have family.
Unfortunately since Dev is still mad at Vicky, as soon as he sees Vicky and Soha playing—resulting in Soha getting hurt—he immediately lashes out at Vicky and even hits him at school. As soon as he gets home, he’s told by everyone that he’s wrong. This causes Elena to think that Dev is being too harsh on Vicky and so she takes Golu and decides to leave.
When Elena calls Vicky we see how he thinks she’s overreacting. But lo and behold, as soon as he puts the phone down we see Vicky being really happy because his actual plan is to use the family to manipulate them against Dev.
After watching that part, I wasn’t too surprised. But since I’m apart of the community where we all discuss I have to say I am interested in knowing some of the comments. Some of us viewers think that we should all “apologize” to Dev for not trusting him and that it was okay that he hit Vicky. Some of us are angry that the family called him wrong. And some are downright surprised at how Elena is acting.
Now that I’ve been watching this show for a while, I think I have a good grasp on all the characters in the show.
First of all, my point of view is that Dev was wrong. He was wrong when he hit Vicky in front of everyone! He clearly didn’t think it through. Also, he had no regret. Even though everyone else at home was convincing him and trying to explain to him why he was wrong he still didn’t think to apologize to anyone. This easily ties back to Dev’s character. Dev is not the kind of person to forget things. This includes people’s love for him and their hate.
Yes, Vicky’s intentions were wrong. However, Dev still shouldn’t have hit him in front of the kids. Especially after the family has tried to keep Soha and Golu away from all of this. I think it’s important to remember that Soha and Golu have no idea what Vicky has done. So if Dev suddenly comes and hits Vicky would that not be shocking? I don’t think Soha is being “stupid” like some viewers think. She is only a child and unfortunately Vicky has no respect for that and is planning on using that against her father. Same thing for Golu.
I don’t think Elena was wrong either. She’s not “stupid” like everyone else thinks she is. She has constantly guided the whole family and at times even guided Sonakshi. I still think Dev is wrong and because of his behavior Golu and Soha are now conflicted. So if Elena took him to leave I don’t think she wants to bring “evil Vicky” back home, she just reacted because she feels that Dev is wrong (he was wrong in hitting Vicky). I do think Elena is thinking the worst about Dev though.
So Elena and Dev have both taken drastic actions. I don’t necessarily think this means “right or wrong” like some of us are trying to pinpoint. However I do think that Elena and Dev BOTH are thinking with their hearts too much and are taking drastic decisions that is actually tearing the house apart.
Poor Ishwari, the way she was looking at her family being broken was sad.
So, in review: is anyone wrong? No. But everyone in this show is different. Their extremes in emotion are different. That’s why we see Dev and Elena doing things that Vicky wants them to do. He knows these two people. That’s why he knows how to manipulate them. I think what we should watch is if anyone can figure out something before it’s too late. Some people think Dev is too passionate, hot-headed, etc. and some think that Sonakshi doesn’t show enough or spends too much time overthinking things which is why sometimes she isn’t able to show how committed she is to certain things. But whenever Devakshi think together they’re able to accomplish whatever it is they set their mind to. I think the only thing we need to see is how long it takes for them to see that something is wrong and start working together. 😀
